Event

The doors are open, and outside the sounds of fireworks, firecrackers and possibly even a street party can be heard. Inside, things are pretty calm as people move around the shop, looking through the wares available.

Genevieve stands behind the counter, keeping a careful eye on the customers, answering questions and pulling things from shelves to give a closer look. Samples of some of the edibles are displayed on a few silver trays, brownies, cookies and even some colorful gummies available for purchase.

On the sidewalk outside, doing the slow-mosey of people who have nowhere in particular to be on this drizzly afternoon, Graham has just had what was honestly a monumentally awesome bubble popped - that is, he's been chewing bubble gum, blew an awesome bubble at Elise, and she popped it. So now he's stopped to try to get bits of gum out of his scruff before it becomes a real problem, a good-natured grouse at Elise to the tune of, "See what I get for trying to cut back on the smokes? No good deed goes unpunished."

He also stops to survey the opened doors outside the dispensary, brows climbing. "Are we at the right place? This is not like the one I hit in Seattle."

"Is that what this is? I thought you were just practicing for the 'World's Largest Bubble' contest. Which, by the by, four out of ten. Solid attempt, but could be bigger." That's what she said. And by she, I mean Elise, who scratches some gum out of Graham's scruff and wipes her sticky fingers on his shirt before her attention pans over to the dispensary's open doors. "I don't know, I don't frequent dispensaries. What was the one in Seattle like?" Questions may or may not be answered as she swings through the open doors and into the dispensary proper, shifting fingers into the purse at her hip to try and fish for her ID.

Genevieve flinches as someone sets off more firecrackers outside, leaning to squint out the door. She spots Graham and Elise as they walk near the shop, summoning a welcoming smile as they pass into the shop. "Welcome, let me know if you need any assistance." She spots some gum still stuck on Graham's face, and if he looks in her direction she'll helpfully point near her chin. "Got a little bit there." She murmurs before she turns to pull a pipe off the shelf to show it to an elderly woman, dressed in a bright tropical print mumu. She quietly answers a question for granny before she steps from behind the counter. "First time in a dispensary?" She asks as she steps closer to the couple.

Under his breath but not really under his breath, Graham chimes in about bigness (of the bubble!), "...not what you said twenty minutes ago." His wallet comes out a second later, and he fishes around in it to find his ID, telling Elise distractedly, "Like Fort fucking Knox. Even the windows were blacked out. Maybe it's just a Seattle thing?" Whatever, he shrugs and looks between his ID and Genevieve and cool, he'll just tuck that right back into his wallet, and that wallet right back into his pocket, ta-dah. To Genevieve, while he's kinda milling around near the open doors still, he answers, "Nah. Not mine, anyway." He chin-tips at Elise, like maybe it is for her? "Definitely a different vibe in the city, though."

Eli doesn't arrive from outside, instead coming in through the door that leads from the attached apartment. He's dressed in comfortable jeans and a black t-shirt. After the door is closed behind him he takes a quick look around the shop and then starts to navigate toward the counter where Genevieve is holding court at the counter. He does his best to make some eye contact to declare "I'm here!" but doesn't interrupt her while she's taking care of a customer.

It's fourth of July! A time for fireworks and celebration and cookouts! Dahlia would rather be hiding under a rock. Yesterday had been spent talking to the police, being checked out by a doctor, and making phone calls to her brothers. All she wanted was to die, but that wasn't going to solve anything. The people of Elm Street would have seen the police cars and ambulance roll through yesterday towards Huckleberry Trailer Park in the morning and those who lived in the Trailer Park saw or heard Martha Evergreen get loaded up into an ambulance in a body bag. Dahlia had a large square bandage on her left shoulder and she looked like she hadn't slept. She also looked like she didn't really want to be out but it was better than being in the trailer.

There's a beat of pause when she notes those gathered, trying and failing to summon a smile before giving a little wave. Her attire is a pair of faded blue jeans and a black tank top.

"And I'm sure it's not what I'll say twenty minutes from now, either," remarks Elise back to Graham, a saucy little smirk tipping her lips upward before she focuses in on Genevieve. She keeps her ID temporarily clasped between her fingers, but eventually lets it go back into her purse, shoulders lifting in a quick shrug. "No," it wasn't her first time. "There's one in Hoquiam that I usually go to, but this one's closer." Her attention briefly drifts to Dahlia when she enters, likely trying to place the woman.

Genevieve turns to smile at Eli when he arrives, but keeps her focus on Elise as she steps into the shop. "If you need any help finding anything or have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm here to help." Her head turns and she frowns when she spots Dahlia, she doesn't look like her normal self, and yikes at the bandage on her shoulder. "Hey Dahlia, are you okay?" She asks, letting Elise look around as she makes her way over to her friend. "Why don't you come over here and sit down.." She gestures to the small seating area, keeping an eye on the others in the store in case she needs to step away.

The saucy smirk gets a twitch of brows from Graham, and he's leaning back to look out the door the way they came, starting to comment, "Do we really need to wait tw-" The rest of the question gets clipped when Dahlia comes in, and the grin that he'd been fostering slips into a skewed frown. "Hey, Dahlia," is as far as he gets before the new entrant is getting gathered up, so he just settles on a quick, sympathetically tinged smile. And tells Elise out of the side of his mouth, "Dahlia Evergreen. The chick from high school that works at the club now?" His eyes communicate extra stuff at Elise.

After presenting himself to Genevieve, Eli turns to look around the shop a bit more closely. He does recognize Graham near the door and inclines his head in the man's direction if he manages to make eye contact. However, he too is distracted by the appearance of Dahlia looking very little like her usual self. His lips tighten into a frown, steps taking him a bit closer to where Genevieve encourages Dahlia to sit. He seems to have enough social awareness to realize that having the entire store surrounding her isn't likely much fun, so gives her space while still being nearby. "Hey, Dahlia." He adds, but lets the questions from everyone else stand.

"Hey Graham." Dahlia pushes a hand through her hair with her uninjured arm, giving him a nod and then looking to Genevieve. "I'm fine." She isn't fine. Though does listen to Genevieve when she suggests taking a seat. "I just figured I'd stop in and all." Doing a little better at trying to smile this time. "See how your opening was going and stock up. Like I said the other day, I'm going to be one of your best customers." Straightening some and biting back a wince as her left shoulder moved back a little too much, but she summons another brief smile in Eli's direction too when he greets her. "How's everyone doing today?" And also clearly not seeming inclined to talk about herself at the moment.

"I'm glad you came, but honey if something is going on.." Genevieve can tell that Dahlia doesn't want to talk about whatever came with the bandage, so she just offers her a smile. "It's not a bad day, everyone seems to be enjoying themselves outside, and some in." The sound of fireworks and chatter can be heard outside the shop, people walking by dressed in red, white and blue. People drift in and out of the shop, looking around and chattering, people presenting their ID's when they move to purchase something. Genevieve rests a hand on Dahlia's good shoulder. "I'm going to go find you something to drink, I'll be right back." She watches Graham near the door, stepping around Eli as she makes her way behind the counter.

"What's up. Four of Spades, right?" That's Graham, recognizing Eli and tossing a nod back thataway. He continues kinda hanging out by the entrance, stepping away from the open doors long enough to let Elise out to take her phone call - Most of which seems to be taking place in Thai anyway, so why bother going outside, yanno? But whatever, Elise has manners. - but it's clear he's more window-shopping than about-to-steal-something. Which isn't to say he wouldn't steal something, but that's not the kind of loitering he seems to be doing right this second. Anyway, he browses and keeps half an ear on the Dahlia conversation.

"Certainly didn't get enough sleep last night, but that happens." Eli replies to Dahlia's question, eyes intent on her for a few seconds, but he doesn't push either. He nods when Genevieve goes to get Dahlia drink, fingers just brushing her elbow when she slips past him and shifts his attention toward Graham, giving a brief smile at the name. "The one and only. I thought this would be a day that bartenders were in pretty high demand. I suppose the big crowds won't be showing up until later tonight. Might need to pick up a few things from here to take the edge of dealing with the masses?"

"You have any more of that mango juice?" Dahlia asked before Genevive slipped away to retrieve a drink for her. Completely glossing over the 'if something's going on...' in favor of listening and watching the different people who come in and out. "Four of Spades?" Quirking a brow with a 'dare I even ask?' at the greeting between Graham and Eli before shaking her head. "I know the feeling. Sleep is for the weak anyway. Or something like that." Dahlia gave a little wave of her hand. "I'll be working tonight. I'm going to wear a red white and blue bikini top and some jean shorts. They're gonna be getting drunk and I'll be raking in tips." Dahlia nodded matter-of-factly. Because staying busy working the bar was just better than being inside with idle hands.

Shouts can be heard outside as more fireworks go off, flashes of light accompanying the snap, crackle and pops that sound off. Genevieve returns to the seating area, setting down a bottle of juice for Dahlia as she asks about the Four of Spades. She glances between Graham and Eli, looking lost, before she moves across the store to help someone with a question. She drifts back into the conversation a few minutes later, her hands shoved in the pockets of her jeans. "Does the club get very busy during the holidays? I imagine you all might have some patriotic shots or something. Fireworks display? Do they do fireworks here when it gets full dark? I might like to see that."

Smirking around a smack of his gum, Graham repeats, "High demand?" And makes with the amusedly twitching eyebrows - 'cause pot shop? Get it? Then he tilts his fingertips (and the little box of chocolate stuff he's browsing) toward Dahlia's comments about working tonight. "Seeing as I can't compete with a patriotic bikini? I made other plans." They're outside on the phone, still talking in Thai. He supplies helpfully, "You can go to the high school if you wanna watch fireworks. You gotta pay to get in - or just don't pay and park and you can see pretty much the whole show. Except the flag team, doing that twirling with the fake rifles and stuff. I'mma buy this." Chocolate, he means.

"I don't know, Graham. You and Dahlia in matching Fourth of July outfits might really bring in the crowds and the tips." Eli suggests, and by the amused expression on his face he's picturing something that particular scene. At least he entertains himself. "Plenty of places you can get a pretty good view if you just want to see the explosions in the sky and not the entire ground show." He says, looking up to Genevieve. "I like fireworks. We should go later on and watch the show. Or find a spot to watch the sky at least. Celebrate the opening and Fourth together. We might need our own patriotic shots."

"I dunno, you might give me a run for my money if showed up in a speedo or somethin' Graham." Dahlia mused. "Thanks, hun." To Genevieve when the drink was given to her. Taking a sip. "That is something I can give a little credit to, I remember some pretty decent firework displays around here." She started to shrug and then stopped. "We might have some special drinks. Guess I should go in a little early and check...and practice. But. I do want to get some more bathbombs if you have any. And brownies. And maybe some cookies."....."And gummies."

"You're going to wear a Fourth of July bikini?" Graham's plans for the night chimes in from the doorway as Elise comes back around, mumbling something under her breath as she sticks her phone back into her purse. "My mom says hello," she pecks Graham on the cheek as she comes back over to him. From the look on her face, that's probably not what Elise's mother said, but whatever. "Are we getting gummies?"

Genevieve moves to the register to ring Graham up, holding a hand out for the item he wants to purchase. "I need to scan your ID in the register too, please." She murmurs, nodding at Eli as he mentions catching some fireworks. "Perhaps we can stop and see Dahlia after, get a drink or something." She pulls a bag from below the case to put the chocolates in, getting everything rung up and scanned. "Eighteen even." She says, her eyes on the door briefly as some kids run by with sparklers. "Speedos, bikini's, shots.. sounds like it's going to be a party." She aims an amused look at Dahlia. "Going to make some tequila sunrises?"

Peeling up the bottom of his t-shirt a few inches, Graham shares, "Actually, I'm wearing my stars-and-stripes bikini under my shirt. I was just trying to keep people from going crazy and throwing their panties at me if I walked around like that." Between Elise coming back into the shop, him needing to get out his ID and some money, and him not actually wearing a bikini, he stops before he gives everyone a free show, contributing, "I bet," about what Elise's mom says to him. ID and a well-circulated twenty dollar bill get handed off to Genevieve, and he nahs. "Chocolate, but grab some if you want 'em? Before President Pothead over there," he chin-tips at Dahlia, "buys 'em all."

"It's important not to tempt the masses too much." Eli agrees with Graham's assessment. He nods in agreement with Genevieve. "I'm pretty sure being at a club on July the Fourth is going to be something I regret, but I'm alright with a few regrets now and then. I want to see what kind of drinks Dahlia is putting forward." Why doesn't anyone just order beer? He nods politely toward Elise when she comes back into the shop and takes up her place beside Graham. "It will make up for last year. I just stayed in."

Dahlia cringes at the mention of tequila sunrises. "Not if I can pawn them off to the other guy. I think I need a little more practice on those." A shake of her head before giving Graham a look, but she totally doesn't have the energy to be a smartass today. So instead she takes another drink of her juice and properly looks at Elise now that she's back. "The gummies are good. You should get some." Nodding. "You two should definitely come say hi." Spoken to Eli and Genevive. "And I'll try not to turn you off of liquor." But, she hasn't gotten any hard core complaints while working yet so, you know, that was good.

"Whoa, hey there. No free shows allowed," Elise laughs over to Graham as he starts peeling up the bottom of his shirt, tugging it right back down for him thank-you-very-much. Along the way to the register, she grabs herself a bag of gummies, inspecting the labeling as she pads over to the counter. "These too, please," she says pleasantly to Genevieve, sliding them across before she eases a hip into Graham. "He's paying." To Dahlia, she glances over her shoulder and lifts a brow. "How is the new job anyway? Are you settling in okay?"

In through the door comes a short blonde, slipping in just as someone leaves, hands slid into the pockets of her washed leather jacket. The brown leather's unzipped over a plain white tube top. A pair of dark blue skinny jeans and some vintage navy blue mary jane heels complete the look. Lucinda has a little scowl going, but that could be because she almost caught a bottle rocket on the way by the long side of the building. As the rich herbal/herbal scent catches her attention, her shoulders begin to relax. Lavender is calming, after all. Her bright blue eyes turn to the wall of jars, gaze skimming the contents of the shop and the current occupants.

Genevieve picks up the bag of gummies, setting them in the bag with the chocolates after she rings them up. "Twenty more." She says to Graham, before she turns to grin at Eli. "We're not staying in this year. It's nice out, and I haven't seen fireworks in a while. We can pick up food and make a picnic out of it or something." She glances at Dahlia when the question is asked, curious as well. When Lucinda makes her way into the shop, Genevieve raises a hand to wave in her direction. "Welcome to Bud and Buds, let me know if you need help with anything." Someone is going to get hurt or set on fire outside, it's just a matter of time.

"If somebody's ordering a tequila sunrise at the club? Fuck that asshole." So yeah; the reason Graham wouldn't really be raking the tips has nothing to do with star-spangled bikinis. He takes paying for the gummies with good grace, just digs out another twenty (he's got a fair few bills for a dude that NEVER FUCKING WORKS) and passes it over to Genevieve. "How much can I buy at once, anyway? Like, flower. Not candy. Or brownies or cookies," with a meaningful look at Dahlia after her cannabis shopping list. To Elise, he lobs a confident pair of thumbs-up; best 4th of July ever!

"You don't even have to twist my arm. I'm ready to face the world. I might wear a catcher's mask to make sure my face isn't injured by a stray cherry bomb, but totally ready." Eli replies to Genevieve, also turning to watch Lucinda coming into the room and inclining his head toward the newest customer. "Welcome. If you need anything before Genevieve is free up I can likely point you in the right direction." He's floating vaguely in the middle of the room, trying to look helpful. Of course, he hasn't worked a day of retail in his life and people aren't his strong point.

"It's going." Dahlia nodded to Elise. "It's keeping me busy, so I like it well enough." And it also meant money. Which was always important to have. She took another sip of her juice. "I like to think I'm better better every shift. Or maybe the customers just like that there's a girl working behind the bar too." Here she did chuckle just a little. Her gaze briefly drifts to Lucinda, as if to see if she recognized the woman but then after a moment decided that she didn't and let her gaze slide away. Graham gets a brief middle finger flashed in his direction, though Dahlia looks just a little amused. "Do you sell it straight here? Not just in edible form?" Asking as a follow up to Graham's request, curious.

"One ounce of bud, sixteen ounces of edibles solid and seventy-two ounces liquid. Don't use it in public." Genevieve rattles this off after Graham's question, soft laughter spilling from her lips as he gives Dahlia a look. She takes his money, taps the machine to complete the purchase and puts a receipt in the bag. "Hope to see you both again, let me know how you liked the edibles." She winces at the mention of taking a cherry bomb to the face, but seems to find Eli possibly wearing a catcher's mask amusing. "Well, if someone is tossing cherry bombs around it might be a little more explosive than I would like, but a night out sounds fun." She nods at Dahlia, tapping one of the glass cases full of jars of the green stuff.

Elise's brows climb as Graham talks about his customer service skillz, eyeing the wad of money he keeps taking out of his pocket. But you know what they say, don't ask questions you don't want answers to, so she looks back to Dahlia instead. "I think Julia's planning some kind of girl's night out at the Firefly in another week or so. You should stop by if you're not working that night. It'll be a fine time."

Lucinda nods to Genevieve as she's welcome to the shop. "Thank you." She approaches the counter, hands coming out of her pockets now that she's indoors. When Eli speaks up, she glances his way, "And thank you." Her attention turns from the herb to the edibles. She considers them for a brief moment, weighing some kind of decision in her head. She nods briefly to Dahlia, as the woman looks her way, but says nothing. Her gaze lingers for a few heartbeats, then moves, in turn, briefly to Graham, then Elise. Finally, Lucinda turns back to Eli. "It's the bottle rockets you've got to dodge at present." A beat later, she asks of him, "Do you carry White Widow and FPOG?" Apparently Luce hasn't noted his awkward newness, or she's doing the charitable thing and giving him some practice at this salesmanship thing. It's a mystery!

Graham answers Dahlia's middle finger with a big ol' blown kiss, complete with a loud, "MWAH!" His eyes get pretty big at the volume that he's allowed to buy at once, prompting another look back Elise's way with an amused, "What do you think? We get ourselves a Midnight Express amount of weed and celebrate Independence Day?" He has their purchases, and smiles a thank-you at Genevieve for the service, already swinging an arm around his plans for the night. He doesn't just shove her out the door or anything, instead lingering to listen to the answer from Dahlia re: girls' night out; he blows more bubbles to pass the time, smiling a hi-there smile at Lucinda after Eli's greeting to her.

Eli has a very good deer-in-the-headlights look about him when Lucinda focuses on him and asks her question. It's less a social awkwardness and just complete puzzlement. He remembers to blink and then gives a quick glance over his shoulder to where Genevieve is briefly occupied helping another customer. "I think you're going to have to ask Genevieve. She'll likely know what you're saying, but to me it sounds like you're in search of a couple B-Grade Avengers." At least he's honest. "I'm helping out today, but more in the area of what direction to the bath bombs."

Lucinda's nod is returned in kind before considering Elise's question. "I'll see what I'm up to. Thank you. If I end up working though, I'll get you girls a round on me." Dahlia offered with a touch of a smile. Starting to stand up, snickering a little at Eli's comment about Avengers. "I think they're strains of weed." She offered to Eli. "I'm Dahlia." She introduces herself to Lucinda, then to Eli she adds - "So where are the bathbombs?" She really should probably get her shopping done now so when she absolutely has to leave to get ready for work she isn't scrambling.

"You read my mind," Elise beams a grin up to Graham before she nods back to Dahlia. "Well, either way, I'm sure we'll see you there. But I think we're gonna go get high and set off fireworks in the backyard now," she gives a wave to all, before she snags Graham by the belt loop and heads for the door.

Graham gets pulled out of the store like that cartoon frog, just without the top-hat and the can-can dance. "Enjoy the fourth," is his parting comment, and then he's crowding Elise down the sidewalk, smacking his gum noisily in her ear as they go.

"Bathbombs are over here. We have three varieties at the moment, most popular is lavender." Genevieve calls out to Dahlia, she overhears Lucinda's question, aiming a sympathetic look at Eli when he looks lost. She finishes with her customer and makes her way down to the glass case. "I have the White Widow, but not the FPOG. Maybe Tangerine Dream instead?" She kneels down to look at some of the other jars inside the case, frowning as she tries to decide what else to offer. "We have some already rolled as well." She taps the case, rising back to her feet.

Practiced as she is at casual interactions with the public, Luce returns Graham's smile with a library smile—the friendly gloss of an acknowledgement without any subtext. The blonde's gaze flicks back to Eli, and she smiles a little bit more, just a tick. "Well, that's convenient." Is it? "Could you gift package a set of your four most popular bath bombs? I'd also like some papers, an assortment of edibles, and I'll wait for Genevieve," she pronounces the name in the French way, the rest of her words otherwise untraceable in terms of distinct accent, "For the rest. Thank you..." She trails off as if waiting for a name.

When Dahlia interjects, she's saved from commenting herself on the Avengers. Her lips press together briefly, possibly to try to tame her amusement somewhat. "Dahlia, beautiful name. I'm Lucinda, but everybody calls me Luce." When Genevieve is freed, she turns. "Oh, yes. I haven't tried TD. Half each would be perfect, along with an assortment of edibles up to the limit."

"Eli." He supplies to Lucinda when she pauses in search of a name. Eli looks relieved that Genevieve has freed up from her other custom and come to his rescue. "Nice to meet you, Lucinda. Parlez-vous Français?" He asks, not missing the ease at which she uses Genevieve's name. That certainly isn't a given around these parts. While he talks he heads over in the direction of the bath bombs, glancing toward Genevieve. "Want me to collect the bath bombs for her? It's only the three right now, but double up on the lavender?"

"You should have little baskets...do you have baskets?" Dahlia asks as she makes her way towards the bathbombs. Because she's going to need one. "Nice to meet you Luce." Dahlia peeks back around the corner of one of the shelves to look at the blonde woman. "Thank you." To Dahlia being a beautiful name. Then she vanishes again. When she comes back around the other side of the shelf she already has her hands full with some paper packages and bathbombs, and a bong that is a pretty light blue color that she mostly just wanted BECAUSE of the color. Poor thing. She's eyes the jars the Genevieve is looking at. Likely debating on getting one.

Genevieve tilts her head as Luce orders, nodding along for a moment before she starts to gather things. She nods to Eli, pointing to the gift boxes. "Sure hon, put them in that silver box, there is ribbon underneath the counter if she wants it tied. The papers are placed into a bag along with a half ounce of the White Widow and the Tangerine Dream. She gets a bakery box and sets up an assortment of edibles, smiling to herself, her eyes on Luce when Eli asks his question. "Mmm no baskets, I should get some baskets." She taps the register gently, adding up Luce's items before she names her a price. "I need to scan your ID please." She mentions, trying to get everything situated in a bag.

"Ouais." Luce replies simply to Eli's inquiry. She slides her hands into the front pockets of her skinny jeans. She smiles to Dahlia as she disappears around the shelving, then turns back to the counter where Eli and Gen are stationed now. "Merci." Her demeanor shifts slightly with the French, relaxing into it like an old comfort not recently visited. "You can never have too much lavender." At Genevieve's request, she reaches back to slip an ID from her pocket, passing it over the counter to the woman. Her nails are neatly manicured and cut short, coated clear. "I'm sorry I missed this place during the day. I bet the window decorations are lovely." She rests her linked hands on the counter. "Little baskets would be a good choice, particularly with dry lavender bunches." She glances at the register, then slips her fingers into her pocket to fish out some crisp cash.

"Opening day. If missing shopping baskets is the only wrinkle than I think you're doing pretty well." Eli says, smiling a touch while he watches Genevieve deal with Lucinda's large purchase. He slips away from the counter again while she's dealing with that and over to impose upon Dahlia instead. "I like that one." He says of the blue bong. "I don't know that I'd ever use one, but they are very attractive. Make for a nice display piece." His eyes shift to her shoulder a moment before he asks. "Is your shoulder alright?" He tries to keep the question casual, but the concern leaks through.

"Can I have a half ounce of the Tangerine Dream too?" She asked Genevieve before her focus turns to Eli. "It is a pretty color isn't it?" She asked softly. "I dunno if I'll use it either, but I can find a place for it. Somewhere." There's a glance towards her shoulder and then back to Eli. "...It will be okay." It looks like part of her would love to elaborate but the other half of her reins it in because she still doesn't have any good explaination for how she got it. "Just a...squirrel..." She's very obviously lying. But it was what it was.

"You are welcome to come back during the day, Luce. Sometimes I have a tisane and watch the weather." Genevieve quietly offers, her eyes straying to the lavender as she nods. She runs Lucinda's ID and hands it back, counting out her change and placing a receipt in her bag. "Are you doing anything fun for the Fourth? We're hopefully not getting hit by bottle rockets and cherry bombs. Fireworks and a few drinks seem to be our plan for now." She makes a note to pick up some baskets in town, and aims another smile at Lucinda. "I hope to see you again, it was a pleasure to meet you Luce."

She turns to Dahlia, nodding before she kneels to gather her order, listening as she and Eli discuss squirrels and pretty bongs. She won't comment on the obvious lie, polite to the last."

Lucinda takes back her ID, slipping it back into her pocket. "I already dodged my bottle rocket for the night, I hope." She shakes her head, "It's not exactly a war zone out there, but it's certainly bracing." She reaches over to take the offered change and accept the bag. "I'll certainly be back, definitely during a calmer..." She glances out the window. "Much calmer time frame." Not that it would take much to find a calmer moment than this night. "My plans run more toward a book and a quiet drink. My pleasure to meet you all, Eli, Dahlia, Genevieve." She looks to each of them as she says each name, taking a moment as if locking in the face to the name in her mind. "I'm going to relax tonight," probably with the contents of the bag in hand, "Then begin renovation of a work space tomorrow." It's hard to tell if she's quite looking forward to that.

Eli hardly looks convinced about the idea that Dahlia was assaulted by a squirrel. He actually looks a little bit offended that she made up such an unlikely lie to feed him. He's not nearly as polite as Genevieve and looks like he's about to contest that story, but his phone begins to buzz softly in his back pocket. He frowns and digs it out. "Sorry. I'd better take this. Work stuff." He sweeps an apologetic to the other three and then makes his way toward the apartment door while answering his phone. "Eli Blake." He says into it, before he's gone.

Dahlia is relieved when no one tries to challenge on the attacking squirrel. She watches Eli leave and then comes over to the counter to set down her things. Giving Luce a little wave before she starts grabbing up the edibles she wants. "I guess I should get ready for work too." She sighs reluctantly. Instead of getting high off her ass. Though, she'd probably sneak a bite or two of brownie or something in before she got to the club. "I'm so happy you opened this place up." As the edibles get piled on to the counter as well.

Genevieve starts to package up Dahlia's purchases, pulling out a bag to put them in. "ID please, hon." She is looking at the bandage on Dahlia's shoulder as she gets things entered into the register. "Hopefully Eli and I will get a chance to stop down at the club tonight. If we don't, we'll be in the next time you're working for sure." She flashes a smile toward Lucinda. "Quite drink and a book, sounds like my usual evenings, and if it wasn't a holiday.. probably how I'd be spending tonight." She give Dahlia her total, scanning her ID before she hands the bag over.

Luce seems to have missed the squirrel mention. She glances over to Dahlia once, but doesn't ask. She does say, "I should get one of those. An enormous one." Her gaze is on the bong. The beginning of a smirk comes to her lips at the idea, and she hms. "Something for next time." She's smiling when she turns toward the door. "Goodnight, everyone. Happy fourth!" And with that, Lucinda moves out into the night with her plethora of mood altering goodies. Before the door's quite closed she yells, "WATCH IT!" Likely over some rocket propelled indiscretion outside. Maybe she should have eaten a cookie before returning to the street.
