It is post lunch, and into the early evening when Ignaciotexted Julia "Estás ocupado? Vel al Pourhouse?" Which is shorter than typing out, ''Sup chica, I'm bored as shit come by the Pourhouse?' Slightly nicer too. It's a damn good thing he has one of those personalities to get away with a whole lot by virtue of never really expecting anything to work. There he is, though, at least cleaned up, and poking at his phone keeping busy with his beer and thumbing his way through Amazon.
The benefit of being the boss is that she can make her own schedule. Dinner prep at FF has been handled, so she's actually not reeking of oil and fish as she walks in. Tee shirt, cut off shorts, hair in a ponytail, and scarlet lipstick are the order of the day. She gets all the way to looming over his shoulder so she can peer at his phone. "I definitely think you need one of those." she remarks regarding whatever he's looking at.
Ignacio turning his phone so she can see it's a set of wireless amps, small, that are bluetooth compatible. He laughs , with that dimpled grin showing on one side of this face that retains full range of epression, "Heh you're damn right I do. Es muy, muy hula." His foot nudges the chair back for her to drop down in. "Man, now i'm glad I changed. You totally wear it better." He sighs, as if put upon, or even as if he's ever been seen in shorts much less cut offs. "I neeeeeed... to get some information from you." He pops a glance up and assures, "Good stuff. Don't worry. How's the day treatin ya?"
Julia seats herself on one of the barstools, brows lifting as she studies him a moment, then lifts a hand for the bartender. "On his tab, please." Ignacio gets a smile, and once the bottle is in front of her, she salutes him with it. "Call it price of information. What's up?"
Ignacio looks to the bartender, hands up n the air like ''I got nothing, Dude''. "As she says, man." No bad blood over that, only amusement. He asks, "Expensin it is cheatin huh?" Hilarious. He opens with, "I got a boat... and a problem. I thiiiink I'm gonna need your help with this one. How well you know Tobin? The guy with the boat tours." To say at least professionally is the vibe but this seems to be the basis he's operating from.
"Sure do. Tobin's a good guy." She's cautiously curious, based on her expression. Taking a sip of her beer, she admits, "I don't know anything about sailing, though. So I'm not sure how I can help you. Wait, when you say you got a boat, you mean like you have one, or you just got one?"
Ignacio holds up a hand dismissive of any big concerns, "It's okay, we got Tobin a hat, he can handle the boat. My /issue/ is while I have very good taste in music, beeeecause my mother said so," A jest, to be sure, but he'll stand by the rest, "The idea is to pack the damn party boat and I need help with a guest list and you have both good taste and also I trust you not to fall off the damn thing. And it'd be fun." Glancing up, the eyebrow arches, "So you game?"
Julia lets out a laugh. "Are you kidding? Of course! What kind of party is it? Gives me an idea of people we might want to invite. A friend of mine does the tech work for the Firefly Club, so I'm betting she can get us a contact list. Are you looking to make some money? Charging for booze, or per head?"
