Bonita is something else. She speaks food y Espanol, my first and second languages. There's something happening and she's arming me with what I need to know to help her and he others. Now, seriously, I'm all too happy to have her back to help her take it all apart, but I'm more excited to see her put herself all back together. She just has to finish getting all the pieces., but she doesn't have to do it alone. God I hope this doesn't get me arrested again. Whatever you gotta do, I'm in.
Not many people get to say their brother is their best friend. I do. He's that awesome, and unfortunately likable. I don't throw away the career I want for just anyone to make a fucking point. Also, call that guy back. Heeeeee's de lache man.
Oye, Raf, keep this one. He's an enabler. This is a very very good thing. Also he finds me hilarious so clearly he's got good taste. Seriously, Raf, can we keep this one? He's bad ass.
They say she lives in a haunted house, with a haunted past under a haunted curse that threatens to kill me. But I stayed, and she haunts me.
She haunts me with her smile that follows me when i doubt myself. She haunts me with her eyes that watch my back when fail. She haunts me with her laugh that rings in my soul and makes the chaos of the world make sense.
She haunts me in the most beautiful way.
Boss number one. Weird...museum-like weird. He seems to be able to put up with bullshit and pays, so he's got my blessing to be as weird as he wants. He keeps firing me and then gives me things to do. I'm beginning to think he doesn't mean it...or may be does... so do I still show up Monday morning or not? It's not my fault the town is weird and the plants keep falling over!
Heeeeey no whit you again? we'll have to catch up and talk about what happened to the car. Meanwhile the falafel hunt continues. You need to pick a fight with someone I got ya.
Game knows game. I'm pretty sure she can turn any shit day into an interesting one for me in two questions. This ain't a bad thing. She's gonna get me writing again. Call it a hunch.

- Accident - Was run over by a city bus and almost dies in Winter of 2020. Put the article on hold a bit. Was in the news. Curious.
- Gotta Be a Better Way - Though he has a very dry humor he is still trying to bring out the best in people. Sometimes they need a damn chance. Don't be a dick.
So being the middle child of Spanish immigrants is fun. Ignacio grew up with all the vices of the US but all the 'old world rules' of his father? Lame. Still if he learned nothing from his father busting his knuckles keeping the family restaurant open it was how to work hard getting what you want and also how to cook. It looked pretty great on paper.
Things changed when his older brother went away to college and then was not allowed back home after coming out to their father making life entirely uncomfortable for Ignacio. He started spending less time with his family and left on senior spring break wit some friends stopping at a mental hospital turned tourist trap on their way down to Daytona. No one is saying tripping balls and going through a place that is perhaps haunted was a great idea and mistakes may have been made. Something happened while he was there. Something that he can't quite explain, because the memory of it is hazy and filled with a dark and ominous presence that seems just on the edge of his perception. He hasn't spoken about how the accident occurred but he woke up in the hospital with one leg in a halo and short two friends after what he calls 'the accident'.
A few years of surgeries and a lot of physical therapy painkillers became a habit and physical rehabilitation eventually became drug rehabilitation. Unable to work at the family restaurant he turned to writing satirical 'unhelpful self-help books' about his life and rehab which became unexpectedly, and infrequently, lucrative. Unlike his brother he got a pass because he was stuck at home. Eventually his father tried to scare him into being sober saying he couldn't live there unless he followed the house rules. He moved out and moved to Gray Harbor to start over with his brother.
Ignacio is 5'9" and smug as they get as if life is a hilarious joke not everyone is in on. The lean, dark haired, Mediterranean has one of those faces that is just naturally expressive. There are several notable inconsistencies that stand out though on observation. His smile doesn't reach all the way across, he's got some very interesting scares in strange places, and most notably a swagger from the limp in his right leg that's never fully healed. He may very well have been voted Class Clown because when he realizes someone's looking those brown eyes light up with mischief and he is very much 'on', but hey, what's so bad about a free show?
