It doesn't take Elias long to make his way over to Shadows of Tomorrow. He left one of his cousins, Daniel, minding the shop, which Monroe has occasionally been looking after as well from time to time. He wanders on in and goes in search of Frankie, coming bearing coffee and pastry tribute.

Frankie's sitting behind the counter, which isn't really that big of a shock. She did say that she might have clients stop by sometime. She's reading a book, or at least faking reading a book.

Elias wanders over to the counter and sets a coffee in front of her, the bag of pastries, and then comes around behind the counter to give her a hug, wrapping his arms around her, book and all, before resting his chin on her shoulder, "So.. tell me about dad, or whatever else you want to talk about."

"Hey." Frankie replies, leaning into him and the hug before she reaches for the coffee, clearly assuming that he's bought it for her, "Gregory Addington." She shakes her head, "I mean, that's really all I know about him. He died recently, and left me a huge chunk of change."

"So you just have his name and that's it?" Elias asks, curiously. It's clear that he's thinking about something, though exactly what isn't clear. Finally he nods and says, "Well.. at least you know, now? Which is cool. And a huge chunk of change means you don't have to worry about bills, or even customers anymore. You can relax a bit. That's a good thing, right? On the downside, someone's killing Addingtons which uh.. isn't as great. You feel safe here? You know you can always come stay with me at the house if you want."

"Right...bills." Evidently there is a lot more still to worry about. "I'm fine here, yeah." She kisses his cheek before taking a sip from her coffee, setting it back down on the counter, "I've got that Officer Alley Cat's number if something goes wrong, and yours, and I'll run like a rabbit if anything comes for me. I'll be fine."

Elias nudges, "Talk to me." He takes up his own coffee and takes a sip, then leans up againt the counter, studying her from where he stands, gaze flickering over her features. "There's stuff on your mind. I can see it, all over it, like flocked wallpaper."

"I still owe money for mom's loans. That's all." Frankie shakes her head, "So I'm not sure any of this windfall will really solve things for good, plus....The lawyer said that I won't even see it for like...months."

"Well, I mean, at least it will help, right?" Elias says, trying to find a bit of a silver lining there. He nods, though and says, "Well, still.. interesting. Do you want to try and find out more about him? Or are you .. just still taking it in that you found out who he is?"

"I guess it'd be cool to see if I had any other family still alive. Direct family, I mean." Frankie takes another sip from her coffee, eyes shifting towards the door for a moment, "But it'll still be really awkward."

Elias glances over toward the door and then back to her, nodding. "Yeah, I could see where that would be weird, I mean, considering all this time and whatnot. And not knowing the circumstances around everything.." He says, "But if you want to find out, and if you want any help.. let me know."

"I do...but maybe I can just find out without busting up in their house all, heeeeeeeeey." Frankie leans herself over against him, "Maybe if they are nice? I mean, look at me. Addington I am not."

Elias chuckles and says, "Hey, a name is an accident of parentage, not really a defining factor. The fact that all Webers are weird notwithstanding." He gives her a ltitle squeeze, wrapping his arms around her. "Can always do the research and figure out who they are, then decide if you want to approach them or not."

"Well, they are Addingtons, I know that much. Rich, and...town founders, and fuck." Frankie frowns a moment, then she laughs, "Wait, no. The lawyer came to me...no one can accuse me of trying to get their money with a con."

"Yeah, I was going to say -- if they found you, then it's not like you went in and pretended to be someone else. They came and looked you up," Elias points out. He says, "So I think you're good, there."

"I bet they'll just claim Mom did it, the con..." Frankie straightens up, tension settling on her shoulders as she reaches for the bag of pastries, pulling it over so that she can check out the contents of it. "So how've you been? Any more visits from the hot fireman?"

"I mean, I suppose they could," Elias says, trailing off at that point, and shrugging his shoulders just slightly. "Either way, it's all legal, so they can't really say much about it at this point. Besides, if you even find out who you're related to, it's not like you need to tell them what the disposition of the will was." He smiles and says, "I have some stuff that's been going on, but I wanted to hear your news first, and be here if you needed me."

"Oh, some stuff?" Frankie seems to be hanging onto the subject change as she elbows him, "So tell me about this stuff that you've got going on. All the deets, please."

"And yes, Tyler came over once and made dinner. I think I told you about that, and I went over to his place the other night, but this weird bad luck that's plaguing everyone got him and he burned his hand.. and then when I tried to heal him.. I couldn't," Elias says with a frown that furrows his brow slightly. "It was strange." He then takes a deep breath and lets it out again.

"No." Frankie shakes her head at him, lifting her coffee up to take another sip from it, "You didn't tell me about any of this at all. Last I'd asked you said you hadn't heard from him at all. Which...I haven't either." She shrugs her shoulders, smiling faintly, "I'm not surprised on me, though."

"Oh," Elias says, "Well, he came by the house and made dinner once, and then just the day before yesterday, I went over to his place and he made some dinner. I hadn't heard from him the last time we talked about him, no." He says, "But we did talk about some things I discovered about the Veil, and he suggested that the three of us should perhaps try out some of the things I figured out." He says, "And yes, it was his idea. He suggested all three of us do it together."

"About the Veil?" Frankie looks momentarily dubious about that, but then she nods very slowly, "We can, yeah. What is it you figured out and what are we going to test? And where...I don't want to try any of that here."

"Yeah," Elias says, but when she looks dubious he shrugs his shoulders and says, "We don't have to. It's fine. And no, not here. I wouldn't suggest doing anything in your shop." He reaches for hsi coffee and takes another sip from it. "Anyway, I came here to talk about your stuff, not mine."
