Elias
Very few people know that the well-known author of urban fantasy novels known as Noah Silas is actually a pen name for Gray Harbor's own Elias Weber. That's because Elias likes his anonymity. He likes it so much, that he avoids any and all connection to his own work. However, recently, a few others have begun to figure it out.
Published Works:
The Shattered Reflections Series - An urban fantasy series about a world full of mirrors that can transport people to a sort of shattered reflection of reality -- where everyone has a reflected self where they are a supernatural creature or have supernatural abilities. The main characters traverse back and forth between worlds, attempting to balance both halves of their dual lives.
Book 1: Through a Glass Darkly, Book 2: The Man Who Looked Back, Book 3: Closed Eyes Won't See, Book 4: A Mirror Hung in Black, Book 5: The Glass Cuts Both Ways, Book 6: Soul's Reflection (September 2020)
Short Stories - He has a number of short stories published in various anthologies, some of them ranging into Fantasy and Horror as well, though most remain within the realm of Urban Fantasy.

The following is a tentative Family Tree for the Weber Family containing only those members who have been mentioned in RP. There are a /lot/ of Webers -- cousins, siblings, aunts, uncles, and the like. Even those who leave town tend to always return to Gray Harbor. If you want to add members, feel free. Just let me know.

Established History
The following information has been established IC through various conversations. Feel free to add stuff to this or use it for whatever purposes. I'm not too concerned how much people want to presume they know about the family, though some of the more secret stuff -- you should probably not know IC unless you actually learned it IC. Please note all this info is IC and based on IC perceptions, and thus may not be accurate. How they view themselves vs the accurate truth may vary.
- The Weber Family has been in Gray Harbor since the founding of the town. They did initially move west from Salem, MA where they were in fact rumored to be witches. A couple of Webers were hung there.
- A number of them do claim to be witches, or make jokes about it. What "witch" means is a little hazy. Most of them Glimmer, though whether that's coincidence or a family thing is unclear.
- Likely Stories has been in the family's possession and passes from one family member to the next. If a family member dies, it goes back to the family trust until a new owner is identified. It also has an inordinately large occult section for a small town bookstore that otherwise resembles your average Barnes & Noble. It is not a used or rare book store (save for the occult section), however.
- Addiction isn't something that occurs much in the family. They don't have a history of drunks or addicts (though they certainly do know how to party). Their particular "skeleton in the closet" tends to run toward taboo practices, sexual deviancy, eccentricity/craziness, and occult-style weirdness.
- Many family members live in the Weber House, which is regularly home to an array of siblings/cousins/etc who come and go from time to time.
- Almost all Webers who leave Gray Harbor eventually return. There are few who ever truly leave.

- Local - He's spent his whole life in Gray Harbor and so likely knows most people in town at least a little bit.
- Likely Stories - He owns and operates the family book shop in town.
- Recently Introverted - Elias disappeared into the Veil for six months and recently returned to Gray Harbor, a far more quiet and reserved man than he went in.
The Weber family has lived in Gray Harbor for as long as anyone can remember. They're old money, and have been called eccentric by those being generous -- witches and weirdos by those who choose to be less charitable. They are, however, by and large, entirely unapologetic for being outside of what some might consider the norm. They live in a weird old house and do pretty much as they please. Most just roll their eyes a little. Webers are harmless. They're just odd.
Elias Weber began to Glimmer at an early age, not unusual among Webers, except that the family as a whole not only recognizes the Glimmer in its own, but encourages the exploration of what that means. He was always friendly, outgoing, and completely without shame or reservation growing up. He is the sort who will go up to anyone and strike up a conversation. After high school he pursued a degree in Literature and became a writer, though he writes under a pen name and is quite successful as an author of Urban Fantasy novels. Despite that, he prefers the anonymity of running the family bookstore which has evolved over the years, modernizing with the times. There is still an occult section tucked away in the back, sure, but modern paperbacks take up much of the shelf space.
Elias has a number of siblings and family in the area, and they tend to stay in touch. Like any family, there are those that get along with one another better than others, but he is close to both of his parents and most of his siblings. There are those that move away for a while, but Webers always seem drawn back to Gray Harbor no matter how far they wander.
Long brown hair falls in lazy waves and loose curls around his almost sharp features, and dark eyes. High cheekbones and an angular jaw are softened by the hair that frames them. His expression tends toward the serious most of the time, but can break suddenly into a grin on a rare occasion. He stands just shy of six feet in height, with a thin build. His hands are expressive, moving a great deal when he speaks, and have long fingers, often with one or more rings on each hand. He appears to be in his mid twenties, and tends toward the darker spectrum of colors in his wardrobe, sometimes with a single item in a bright color, depending on his mood.
