Local: Everyone probably remembers that her mom ditched her when she was still a teenager, and she had to pick up the pieces and move on.
Francisca Dubois was born, raised, and will never actually get to leave Grey Harbor. Never. There is too much on the line and she's too indebted to the wrong kind of people for her to be able to leave town.
Frankie's mother worked the boardwalk, then she opened a shop. But to open that shop she ended up getting a loan, and not from the bank. It was because of that loan, and others, that Frankie now works for Felix, paying off her mom's debt. Her mother was great, and Frankie loves her, even though she skipped town leaving Frankie to hold the bag and have to answer to Felix and his operation. Reality is, it's not so bad. It's safe, no one else hassles her, and as long as she continues to kick up payment to Felix she's left mostly to her own devices.
But it's hard to be a psychic, not a real one. More and more people are getting wise to the cons, and you've got to be a whole lot more careful with how you fleece someone for their money. But there is enough tourist business that she can pay her debts, but there isn't as much left over to consider herself anything but poor and living paycheck to paycheck. Every once in a while she'll go to the neighboring cities and work their tourists for extra money to make ends meet.
One rule is that she does her best to never bullshit a townie. One, they know where she lives, and two...they know where she lives. So if one happens to wander in and ask for a reading she treats them properly. Which has gotten easier in a way, ever since she started becoming aware of the fact the world is more than just it appears. In recent years she's begun to be able to pick up on a persons emotions, and it's enriched her con jobs, too. It certainly makes life more interesting now that she's realized that she's not just a con artist, but also a real psychic.
Evidently ghosts are real, she can move things and other things that just were cons before. Not that she's stopped with the con jobs, but life is a whole lot easier. Sometimes.
Long copper hair is flowing with gentle waves around her neck and shoulders. Her skin is naturally pale, but her cheeks glow with the vigor of youth, and her eyes are a strange golden brown. There is always an easy smile on her face, with a very light amount of makeup. Often she plays into the expected gypsy vibe by wearing scarves and long flowing clothes.
