(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : Captain de la Vega, since you'd spoken to Reede at the hospital, I'm not sure how much she'd told you about what went on.
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : Very little. Are you going to rectify that for me?
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : Clayton and Isabella held a seance to summon William Gohl. Look, I told them it was a terrible idea.
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : It worked. They summoned him. Then I think Clayton tried something on Gohl. Getting into his mind? If you can that with ghosts. In retaliation, Gohl slit his throat.
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : My concern is, during their conversation, Gohl boasted about beating his record. His serial killing record.
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : And with Clayton and the others riling him up enough to take action on Alexander, while it's been quiet so far, the killings seemingly having stopped, I just have a bad feeling that we're going to see them more often now.
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : This is why I'm reaching out to you.
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : I see. What would you like me to do?
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : There are known possible victims-to-be around. Erin Addington. Or any Addington. Rebecca Carr. Reede, herself. I don't know what you can do. Is there a safe place to send Erin Addington?
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : I've had officers watching her apartment for the past few weeks. But I can't simply put every Addington and Baxter into protective custody. This situation needs to be resolved, and quickly, Mr. Thorne.
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : I am giving you a heads up of the Reckoning that may come. But I did tell Erin that I would do all in my power to make sure that she was safe. Erin may be visiting her grandmother and uncle soon in the hopes of finding more information.
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : My concern was Gohl slit Clayton's throat without Thomas Addington. Maybe he was able to do because they summoned him. Maybe because Alexander tried to invade his mind. I'm not sure.
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : You're going to have to be more precise. A reckoning of what sort?
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : As I've said, when they held the seance, William Gohl boasted that he would be his kill record before he died.
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : With the seance having riled him up enough to slit Clayton's throat, I can only imagine that Gohl would want to start working on that as soon as he can.
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : Right. So what's your plan?
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : I, personally, don't have one. Or, ideas are currently being worked out. I believe we're waiting to hear what Erin Addington is told, though I'm hoping that she can convince her grandmother to commit Thomas Addington already. If that has not already happened.
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : We need a plan B.
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : And what would your Plan B entail if you had to make one?
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : I think you know.
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : If it's what I'm thinking about, that's quite a jump to the extreme. I'm surprised, coming from you, Captain.
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : I think we've passed the point of extreme a long while ago, Thorne.
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : And why surprised? Do I strike you as soft?
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : Soft? No. By the book?
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : Let's just say I was curious whether you would take the hard, not quite legal road.
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : I can't take it alone. I've had enough of this shit, but I know when I'm out of my depth.
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : What do you plan to do exactly? Invite yourself to their household? These are the Addingtons we're talking about.
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : I'm not going to answer that.
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : I'm not going to do anything stupid. What I need to know is what your backup plan is.
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : Look. New information had come to me. Apparently, Clayton was able to take something away from his mental bond with Gohl.
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : And what's that?
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : Doctor Minerve Kosimar, the... goth chick. Clayton and Reede supposedly are not the right three people to put Gohl away for good. There are three needed to do so, supposedly. To trap him in a box. His original coffin which, I think, was missing when his bones were brought over to our side. I'd spoken to one of the parties who was witness to that event. She said that the bones were in a cardboard box. Someone must've taken them out of its original box.
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : Now, I wouldn't know where to start to even figure out who the correct Three are.
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : That could take days, weeks or months of investigative work. We don't have that kind of time.
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : I know. I told something similar to Reede when were discussing this.
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : Any other ideas?
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : Neither of us will be able to find the Facility. I don't think. So taking him personally there is out of the question, unless we know someone who can.
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : You are not making me say this.
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : Say what?
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : Having been in Margaret Addington's company for a time, I know that she's far more capable than I am at what I do. Thomas Addington is something different. But his abilities seem similar to
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : The healers that I know.
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : Your point is what.
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : You're going to need someone incredibly proficient in their abilities.
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : Or several someones.
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : I don't know how many will agree to do this.
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : I want this resolved. I know you know people. Start asking.
(TXT to Ruiz) Byron : I'll get back to you. Hopefully, with names.
(TXT to Byron) Ruiz : You can add mine.
