Text

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : You have your fingers in a lot of pies, Alexander.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : Hello, Javier. What do you mean?

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : Hello, Alexander. and I think you know what I mean.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : A statement designed to make me think that you know everything that I am up to, and provoke a confession of something you'd find useful. I like it. But you'll have to be more specific.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : I think you attribute to cleverness what could more accurately be termed laziness. I know what you've been up to, and you know what you've been up to. And you know that I know what you've been up to. Do I need to spell it out?

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : You can be clever AND lazy, if you want. I don't mind. But. I'm afraid you will have to spell it out.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : I haven't even had my fucking coffee yet. Hijo de puta.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : All right. Lukas Collins.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : Oh. Yes. The partial man in the dumpster. It's an interesting case, don't you think?

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : You don't need to play coy with me. We're on the same side here. What do you know?

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : Just trying to avoid you trying to tell me to stop. But - not much, yet. History of criminal activities, most recently running some gambling things - underground fighting, etc. Disappeared somewhere around the 5th, showed up again on the 13th. Some of him, anyway. Haven't found the rest of the body, yet. He was frozen, so time of death, I'm betting, somewhere between the 5th and the 10th. Questioning associates now.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : I'm not going to tell you to stop. I thought we'd been over this. And thank you. Will you let me know what you find? And if you require department resources to find it.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : I think the last conversation I remember was something about staying out of police business. Maybe there's one I forgot. But I'm glad. Not complaining. Yes. Detective Bishop and I spoke to a junkyard owner. Lukas used to run fights out of there. Someone else cancelled his uh 'reservation'. Talked to Kelly, but he's definitely not talking. Wouldn't expect it. Going after Graham Stewart next. I suspect it's an internal matter, but I want to know who and why.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : Be careful with Stewart. And Kelly. I don't think I need to tell you who they report to.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : You don't. I'll do my best.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : At this point, it's looking like only one of the 13th murders are the Ghoul. Irritating.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : You're a very strange man, Alexander. You're lucky I like strange.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : I am. Strange. And lucky. ::smiley face emoji:: But I don't think I said anything strange. It's irritating, because it means there might be more death after the ghoul is gone. I mean. There always would be, but.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : Lucky?

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : Lucky. To have friends who like strange.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : I see. And I wish I could say that getting rid of Gohl will solve the murder problem in this town.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : txt Yes. I know. But...although I am not looking into those in the same detail, it appears to have four different MOs for five people. That's not a comforting thought. Even if three end up being our upstanding businessman by proxy.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : If you're looking for comfort, I think you're in the wrong profession.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : Don't be obtuse, Javier.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : How is that fucking obtuse.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : When I say it's not a comforting thought, I don't mean that I expect to be comforted by murders. Just that it's concerning to have a cluster of murders with potentially different perpetrators. Even for GH, five at once is a bit much.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : I know exactly what you meant, Alexander.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : Then. Maybe I didn't understand what you meant. I'm sorry. I'm a little stressed.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : Why? What's going on, besides people dropping like flies and an exorcism probably about to go horribly wrong?

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : The exorcism will work. Minerva is good. the others are powerful. It will work. It has to.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : We'll find out soon enough.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : I have a cat, now. for a little while. It was Violet's.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : Violet. Violet Whitehouse.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : Friend of yours?

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : My first. The first one in...years. Who said she wanted to be friends with me. I was supposed to help her.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : I'm sorry.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : This is why I don't make friends.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : So am I. I think they were taken from her shop. They didn't finish lunch. The cat was starving.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : Why?

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : People. Being unpredictable.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : Oh. I'm sorry. Would it help if I was more predictable?

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : What? what makes you think this is about you?

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : well. We're friends. I'm unpredictable. That must be unpleasant.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : (bouncing dots)

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : You're fine

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : I'm glad. How are you? You seem to have fingers in many pies, as well.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : It's part of the job description. I'm fine.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : If you weren't, would you say anything?

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : Probably not.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : So I should pester you unmercifully to ensure your state of health.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : That's not what I said

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : It sounds entertaining, though.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : For you, or me?

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : Definitely me. Maybe you.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : ::frowning face::

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : Or you could share! About how you're feeling.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : Share.. how I'm feeling? what fuckery is that.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : Friendship. I think. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to involve sharing and all of that.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : I reiterate again, this is why I don't have friends.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : But you do. Have friends. At least one.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : I don't want to share about how I'm feeling. So I suppose it depends on whether that's a condition of our friendship.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : You know it's not.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : good. thank you.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel bad. I was just teasing. I'm not very good at it.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : You didn't make me feel bad. I'm just not good at.. this. talking about feelings and shit.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : That's okay. Neither am I.

(TXT to Alexander) Ruiz : Anyway, I've got some work to finish off. talk soon.

(TXT to Ruiz) Alexander : Don't die.
