Text

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: Think I have that stupid flu. I know you're at work but I didn't want to get you sick. This week has been an uneblievable shit show.

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: Oh. I have heard about this sickness. Attendance is down at the Cabaret because of it. I am sorry your week has been bad. Is there anything I can do to help?

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: Well when you get out of work text me. I was feeling like death but was thinking about watching that movie you sent me.

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: Oh I left early tonight. I am at my hotel. I need to drop off a thank you card to a neighbor but other than that I am home for the evening.

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: Sorry things didn't work out. Makes it hard to pay the bills. Kinda my week too right now

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: What happened? Other than being ill?

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: So my uncle left me his gym.

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: He's alive, just retired. Boxing gym

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: Oh! That sounds like an interesting thing to own. Is this why you learned to dance? To improve footwork?

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: There was an accident. Caught fire. Electric problem.

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: I am so sorry! Are you all right? Is everyone there all right?

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: I didn't get hurt too bad. Kid's okay. Gym will survive another day but my ring is toast and I need to fix the lights now

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: What can I do to help? I do not know how to fix lights but do you need to raise some funds?

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: Weirdly I have a couple ideas but those'll make you some cash not really me. THat's okay too.

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: I was watching bad movies on the motel television, do they really pay money for women to wash cars in bikinis? We could maybe do that?

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: Actually that's not a bad idea. I worry about it being cold but yeah that could be really cool

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: there is a reason that the Cabaret has, what do you call it? Air conditioning. Cold temperatures make more money.

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: Not to sound like a creep but question for you cause work's slow with this flu going around

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: You may ask.

(TXT to Roxy) (TXT to Roxy) Joey: If we get the ring back up there is going to have some fights again. THought about making it a little more Madison Square Gardens. It'd be a modeling gig. Wear what you want. Carry the number around the ring sort of deal. No one touches you.

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: Yeah teh AC does add something to the business.

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: Oh! That sounds like fun! It is not...televised, correct? I do not wish to be on television.

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: Not telivised and not something we generally advertise. Very private event.

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: Then I shall be happy to do it!

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: My bruises are almiost gone. When does this begin?

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: Couple weeks. Where did the bruises come from?

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: ......

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: I had an...accident. I fell on the sidewalk.

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: WHose sidewalk?

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: Near the motel. Some drunk college boys. They knocked me down. My neighbor helped me though. Mister Javier.

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: Oh him.

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: You know him? He seems very nice but a little bit intense.

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: Oh yeah. We go way back. He'll make sure those people are more careful

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: Joseph, he had a gun.

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: You ever get stuck or have accidents feel free to text me. I don' like accidents.

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: well if I need to give him a lesson in manners he might want two.

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: He saved me, I think. I do not think those boys intended anything good. And he put his coat over my shoulders, and then cleaned my cuts and put bandages on them. But something about him...I do not know. Frightens me?

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: It is probably just my imagination. I was a little tipsy that night.

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: Well he's a cop he has that effect

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: ......

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: But for making sure people walk away I trust him and he and I have differences

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: No. He is a cop? <<long string of swearing in Finnish>>

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: Joseph he knows who I am. He knows! If he tells the police they will come get me.

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: Well he knows who I am too. Don't tell me over text. You do not want private info on your phone

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: I should leave. Run somewhere. I am an idiot!

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: well if you need a place to go let me know.

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: I cannot stay at themotel. He is right down the hall! Where do I go? Is there another motel?

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: I got a room at the gym. If you need to lay low I mean I'm sick but my cousin's not using his room right now. Easier I can ask him not to say something

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: where is the gym I come now I am packing things

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: I can come get you

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: But you are ill. I cannot ask you to come here.

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: I'm not dying.

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: Be careful

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: Your problem with him is a non-issue. I got your back. He owed me a favor

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: What? What do you mean, Joseph? I do not understand this back getting.

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: It means I'll help you out.

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: and he owes me a favor

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: So...I can stay? I do not need to leave town? Or the motel?

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: :<<shares a screenshop cropped down without a name on it reading I'm quite aware of what she's trying to move on from. I don't think it would be wise for me to try to contact her in my present state. But I'll see what I can do, once this is resolved. Deal?>>

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: His present state? Is he ill too?

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: Yes. He's the one that got me sick. Just assume everyone but you is ill right now

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: Ok. Ok I will put my things back in the drawers then. Thank you, Joseph. I will explain things to you, when you are well again. You deserve an explanation.

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: People in my life have been hurt before and couldn't get away from it. I don't like it when that stuff happens. So you are welcome

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: You are a good man, Joseph. Thank you for helping me.

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: How do you say like... yeah that's not a problem or you're welcome in Finnish anyways?

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: ole hyvä

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: Okay you'll have to pronounce that for me when I see you next but Ole hyva.

(TXT to Joey) Roxy: I shall. I am going to go shower and sleep now. Thank you again.

(TXT to Roxy) Joey: Good night
