<FS3> Victory for That's Not How The Force Works!!. (Rolled by: Joey)

Erin is at work and while the towels are washing, there's a fresh pot of coffee made and a few new memberships signed up. Currently, she's standing near the ring, she's just watching others in the gym, seeing what all they were doing in their workouts.

While Grace hadn't gotten the time to drop by, today she has. Who knows how long she has been here though, as she is in her workout clothes. Grey yoga pants with some pattern all along them, and black sports bra. Seemingly at least done some warm ups if nothing else. Taking a sip of water as she looks around the place. Watching the ring curiously. Since Erin has been watching, she probably saw Grace just coming away from doing burpees.

Joey comes in with a plod, leather jacket that's seen better days being warn more and more as the chill in teh air gives out. He plods in and sets on teh desk for Erin a paper box from Vyv's place. "One scone for you inbound, Trouble." Looking to the 5'3 pile of determination he upnods, "Sup." He unpacks a bag of things for the office. "Hey, The munchkin's coming by later. Alexander needs a favor from you. She's gotta get measured for a costume. Long story."

Walking over, Erin introduces herself and offers her hand. "Good evening, I am Erin Addington, I work here. I just haven't ran into you yet. Welcome to Kelly's." A warm smile is given over to her. "You've chosen a great gym to join. The Kelly's are local and the Gym has been here a long time." Because everyone loves longevity. Hanging around a moment for the handshake, she meanders over to the desk afterwards. The box is recognized and she's beelining for that. Oh yes she is. "A scone," she sighs, already looking forward to it. "I can measure her, but I do know mostly, their age is their size at this age, unless they're overly big or overly small. She looks to be perfect for her height and age." Someone's studying up on kids. Or something. "Alexander? Well I've got time for it. I've got all the time in the world. And I need a raise." The last is said in jest though.

Grace smiles and gives a two fingered salute to Joey while catching her breath. Then smiling and nodding to Erin as well. "Hi." Deep breaths, trying to get some control. "Just recently came to check this place out. It's nice." She offers and smiles. Arms crossing as she looks around. Seeming quite pleased to have found the place. Taking the offered hand as well then. "Hello, miss Addington. I'm Grace Joy Kensington." She greets her in return with a soft but firm grip. Perhaps hearing some of the conversation, but trying not to eavesdrop. Turning to ponder her next exercise.

Joey turns to jsut stare at Erin. She's talking and he's processing this information like a rock with a wave breaking against it. He blinks and says, "I have no idea what that means but he's making Jess a costume and needs to know like how long her arms are and shit." He's not personable. This is why Erin's here. Looking to Erin he blinks and looks around with a dip of a nod, "Well you do enough around here. We'll talk this afternoon." Cantankerous, but not unreasonable. Arching an eyebrow, "Kensington?" Well that rings a bell. That gets eyebrow up. "Shit. Well, welcome." Well that means something apparently, but when you fight you follow fighting. "Joe Kelly. Owner. Yeah we don't have all the fancy machines and shit but they have a good place for that closer to downtown. best of both worlds really."

Down the corner of the street comes an eccentrically dressed man, twirling in his hand a keyring with a clown's honk hanging from it. He looked to be humming a song with his strut, and his gaze was perpetually up, caring little to see to the gym's inside and instead focusing on the wireline connected through the frizzle of the downspout, gutter, corner post and fascia up to the Gym's upper gable. His humming stopped only as his feet were arm's length from the utility pole right outside and he looked up; up and towards the top, and the much more organized - professionally methodical, even - coalescing of cabling that handled the in and output of Joey's crib. Almost as if the lights would go off after the deed, Nasir clapped his palms twice and made for the entrance, waving and sharing a few jokes with a couple of departing regulars before finally making his way truly within.

He wore lazy garb that late morning, a loose-fitting sweater with tartan twilled wool, the sleeves pulled up to the elbows. Fingerless, woolen gloves; saggy, shredded cargo pants a finger shy of the knees and a pair of dilapidated flip-flops seemingly due to a toe thumb injury he still had wrapped in a bandage, looking bloated white. "Joey!" he called out from the distance, almost immediately. His walking was a bit waddled, due to the messed foot, but it didn't take from him any of the mirth in limping his way on over to Beef McLargeBig.

"A pleasure meeting you, Miss Kensington. We are glad you're here." After the shaking and releasing of the hand she had walked over towards Joey. Realizing it was being made, Erin laughs. "Okay, okay I get it. I thought you meant like 4T or 6T or something. So, I see you need like inseams and the works I can manage that." Unlike Joey, she doesn't recognize the Kensington name, but it sounded wealthy at least. Guess what she's doing now though? There was a scone mentioned. Opening that dainty box, she reaches in and does a little celebratory wiggle. "Thank you Joey. And here I thought food was the way to a man's heart."

It's then she notices the whistling and approach of another. He didn't exactly look that familiar. Maybe a little, but she couldn't place him. There's a nod of greeting to him, but she doesn't try and intercept him from approaching Joey or anything.

Grace smiles and offers a thumbs-up to Joey. "No worries, I enjoy this." She assures him. A smile and a nod to Erin as well. "Same to you, Miss Addington. And Grace is fine." While they start talking she goes to do some pullups. Looking to the newest arrival but not butting in. After finishing the first set she stretches some to take a breather. A bit of curiousity though as she look to the trip while drinking some water from her bottle.

<FS3> Joey rolls Alertness: Good Success (7 6 6 5 4 3 2) (Rolled by: Joey)

Joey is only 5'10, but it doesn't stand the yard boss from walking tall. He pauses taking note of Nasir's gait, the limp, what side he's favoring. Calculations that are useful to know and habit in his lifestyle. "The hell happen to your leg?" Well he ain't a damn doctor. There's a pause and Erin gets an arched eyebrow, "I'm pretty certain you can be an alien and that dude's food is considered bribe enough. I dunno that guys have the market on that entirely." Looking to Grace he considers this curiously, "I thought yous was East Coast. What's got you up in the Pac-North west?"

Nasir didn't wait to consider Joey's gregarious methods of greeting a man and that didn't stop him from shaking hands unless he left his right hand hanging when he finally arrived, doing so while holding it out for him. He regarded Erin, who was right there, with that same toothy display of teeth, completely and utterly unaware of who the woman was. Despite his seemingly joyous expression it wasn't all entirely genuine- he wasn't happy whatsoever, it was mere politeness at play here and he took a good look of the ceiling at the recent workplace before speaking; "Nice to meet you, here's Nasir- nice meeting you lot, yeah, yep, hello," he waved on over to even Grace there, watching them from the distance, getting such pleasantries out of the way with a brief glance amidst the greeting to Erin before ending up on Joey yet again. "Just ruckus with a girl. Anyway-- how's the Gym looking man? How's the infrastructure? Talk to me."

<FS3> Erin rolls Medicine: Success (8 7 5 5 3 2 1) (Rolled by: Portal)

"Grace it is then. Please just call me Erin. Addington is a little overkill." The smile is returned but the scone just calls out for attention and she tears off a bite and luxuriates in the pure sinfulness of it. "I think you're right. I should have sent my Grandmother some." A wry twist of her lips, she doesn't go any further in that direction. There's a glance down the guys leg when Joey mentions it and she notices that toe and winces. That wasn't good. She eyes it, just gauging if it was infected or not. Probably pretty obvious it is.

"You should see someone for that." Indicating his foot, attempting at a breezy, flippant attitude about it. But the training nurse in her won't let it go. "If you need me to first aid it, just let me know. We have a kit." She just had to offer.

Grace does let out a soft sound. "Coming to stay with our grandparents. And just trying to break out some." She explains to Joey. Looking to Nasir as well, to hear his answer to the questions posed to him. A smile to the man once he greet her. "Hi. I'm Grace." Offered in turn. Turning to smile to Erin as well, "Of course, Erin." Responded easily with a bright smile. A glance to Nasi'r leg and foot then. "Tell me if I need to help with anything." OFfered to Erin, if she does need to help Nasir.

Joey just eyes Nasir, thought hat handshake does come with a fistbump after. "Yeah well if you were my brother I'd say stop tellin people you're me." He shakes his head but doesn't press the issue or the man's personal business. Pointing to the ring and the lights now replaced and on he says optimistically, "Yeha we recovered from the fire damage well. I still wanna get that checked out though and if you're going to be up in there maybe getting a couple them USB plug things added. I know the building's old as shit but, ya know, a charging station wouldn't be bad." Looking to Erin and thereby grace he pauses and says, "She doesn't know she's gettin a costume for her birthday. She wants to be a raptor when she gets older and stomp buildings so she's getting a Godzilla party. Clayton's making her some big dino building stomping feet and stuff. She'll love it."

An experienced glance at Nasir's foot endeared the perceptive interlocutor of a fundamental fact about this man: he gave absolutely no shits about his well-being. The bandage was as old as torn rags, rusty and soggy with humidity. It must've been wrapped the morning prior given by how loose it strapped around his foot, taped equally poorly. There was a bulk of purple veins coloring off into the foot from the toe itself, implying blood was clogged at its base and a very poor transaction of oxygenated O+ wasn't actually making it all the way to the nail. "Haha, shit, I don't know what you mean by that but I'll guess it's a constant problem," the joke he didn't get gave him an awkward smile; a smile he had to equally turn to Erin and Grace, which he considered part of the conversation, the former which he'd reply to dismissively; "Nonsense, I'm fine. Thank you, though- very kind of you," as to convey his thankfulness, he laid a palm to his chest and bobbed his head admissively to Erin.

"What do you want to get checked out, man? I already popped by a week ago, installed you the alarm - reinstalled, I mean - got you a new power bank, built you a new cable line on the boatsy infrastructure. You want a USB Station dock? We can install it next to the substation," Nasir motioned towards the distribution panel on the wall nearby, instructively; "I came to ask you originally about your septic tank. I've got an evapotranspiration system sitting at home and I'm thinking you probably run a chamber here, right? We can improve it."

"Thanks, I appreciate the offer." Spoken to Grace. Though Nasir hadn't even accepted, so it was all a little premature at least for now. The scone is a guilty pleasure she makes no effort to share, but Joey can take some if he wants. Erin tears off another bite and nibbles it, savoring the bite. "You bet baby girl will love those feet. I can't wait to see her parade around in them. I'll bring some sidewalk chalk and draw some buildings on the floor in here for her to demolish."

Nasir's response surprises her and Erin drops her eyes to his toe. "It looks like you're getting blood poisoning. Those veins like that, you get the infection in your blood and it traces down the veins and to your heart. It's called Sepsis. It kills just as surely as if you'd gotten a poisonous snake bite on your toe and left it untended."

Someone isn't used to being told no. "I'm afraid I must insist. You see, I can't concentrate now if you don't let me take care of it. I'll just keep staring at it and I won't get any work done. That won't please my boss here and we'll both be without a job, Me? For not doing my work. You? Because you'll be dead from that infection." She even throws in a plaintive smile. Kind of.

Grace does blink as she hear the alarm on her phone go off. "Already?" She calls out. Sighing. Fixing a few things and gathering her things to put to the side. Listening some, hearing Joey mention a sibling acting as him. A twin? She will have to ask later. "I need to run." She says and smiles apologetically to them. Ready to head out. Grabbing all her things. If they can see out they will notice that when she exits she will move and leap over a bench in a fluid motion and sprints off.

<FS3> Erin rolls Spirit: Great Success (8 8 7 7 6 5 3 3 3 1 1) (Rolled by: Erin)

Joey watches, thoughtful but has no medical opinion what to offer other than my insurance will not cover you like that... my receptionist may however. He considers with a pace, "I should ask for a donation of empty cereal boxes and cardboard ones and stuff." Looking back to Nasir he says with a grunt, "Yeah we can talk septic after you get your fuckin foot looked at. You dieon my porch then I use up all my cardboard boxes mailing you back to yorur family and then what's the kid got to destroy?" Priorities. Kids playing dino is importan, or it's JOey's way of giving the man a pragmatic out and relent to getting patched up. "Alright I'm gonna make a call and see when he's coming by. Nas, we'll catch up after, man." A hand goes out to pat Erin's shoulder, "Good job." Words not often used but sincere when he stops making grumbly noises.

Erin smiles at Joey, but gives Nasir a long look when she directs her attention back to him. As far as she can tell everyone currently present in the room had some glimmer going on so she just takes a deep breath while watching Nasir, then looks down to his toe and her eyes sort of go out of focus as she sorts through infection and what's not and cleans out the toe and binds it together where it should be, dispelling of the bad parts into the bandage, soaking it in really gross infection. His veins get a quick flush in the area and she follows them up, making sure there was no more. Any other aches and pains of his body get a quick check and a heal before her eyes refocus again and she smiles at him. "If you're adamant about not being checked over," a small smirk, "Then of course I cannot force you." Which she had just done. "I have a few things to do, you guys can talk business." With her scone, she disappears into the office.
