Alisha is heading down the street about to pass the gallery. She's been curious about the place and there isn't like there is a ton of higher culture things in her home town. She pauses by the door and after a few moments decides to go inside. Taking a look around and heads deeper inside. Giving a nod to Hera and cracking a smile to the animals.

Hera might have see Alisha around town one time or another but she hasn't been graced by the cop's presence yet. "Hello there." She says as the blonde woman comes inside. "Nice to meet you. Can I offer you some complimentary coffee or wine while you look around?" Hans just watches her and wuffs a little, but then he hangs his head, as if to note the newcomer's presence and little else.

Alisha pauses in her tracks at the greeting. "Hello." she says but it wasn't so much the Hera saying hi as much as it was "You know some wine would be great. Do you always welcome need people in with that offer? I bet you get a lot of people in here that way." she's off duty and hasn't started drinking for the day so why not. Going over to offer her hand for Hans to sniff "Aren't you a handsome one."

Hera bows her head politely and then says, "Oh, it's all part of the show, not that I have too many shows here mind you. So yes, most people are welcomed with a glass of wine unless uhm, you're under 18? The law is the law after all. I would think that people come in here for the art but, I could be wrong I suppose." Hans is good for now. When she comes over he licks her hand in greeting.

Alisha looks back up to Hera "Ah I wasn't trying to accuse you of doing anything you shouldn't be. I've also never been to a art show. When you have one maybe I should. Get a little more damn refinement." she chuckles at be asked if she's underage "I'm over 18 and 21 even. Good of you to ask though and if you had a lot of teenagers hanging around I'd have to ask some questions." a wink is given to the red head. After the lick she gives Hans a pet or two. "My name's Alisha by the way. And I'm sure people come in for the art. Not many places where you can view them here."

Hera smirks a little and walks over to the young woman with a glass. "I'd love to have you." She says as she offers up a dark red, "There's not many teenagers who come around, but for some classes they do. There's no wine for them. That's putting it mildly. I actually gave you a glass of some of the stronger stuff." Not that wine is too strong. She extends a hand to the woman and says, "Hera, thank you for the kind words. Let me know what you think of that glass. I have other types of wine if you don't like it."

Alisha doesn't generally drink wine and hey people in the movies all seem to want to savor the taste. She does accept the glass and take a sip of it. "Great I'll have to drop by some other time to find out when your having one. Unless you have one planned now." getting a smile on her lips "I was just kidding you know. Not many teens would even be interested in it...of course they probably just would want whatever they get there hands on. This is stronger wine? I mean it's nice and thanks for it." she extends her non-dog petting hand to Hera as well "Nice to meet you Hera. Honestly I don't drink wine much, but this one is nice. I've been meaning to come into this place for awhile, but you know always something to do."

Hera continues to maintain her polite smile and goes to get a glass herself. "I'd love to see you drop by again. Come in whenever you want but you're right, not many teens would be interested in it. Wine is a weaker alcoholic drink but there's some types that are quite, well, intoxicating. I understand the always something to do part, boy do I. This is a small town but, it can keep you busy, that is for sure."

Through the front door, he goes at a brisk pace, throwing the door open, ducking under the framework. The backpack over his right shoulder is removed before he's coming to a standstill before where Hera holds court. The mouth opens, the backpack is settled on the ground, left hand combing through his long silky hair to brush it back over his shoulder and...

... Everett double-takes at the new person. She's not supposed to be here. The giant looks perplexed, someone fetch his script. He squints down at her, then over at Hera and removes his fingers from his hair to point across his torso at the interloper, wordlessly asking a question.

"I will probably take you up on that. It's nice to meet people outside of a bar. At least that's what I keep telling myself." Alisha says taking another sip and wondering it's okay to mix whiskey and wine. Eh best not to chance it. "You'll have to point out some of the other types then. It positively does offer a ton to do. I swear what I wouldn't give for just one quiet week. That's never going to happen. There is another reason I decided to drop by..." before her attention then drawn to the new person coming in. Someone she's likely seen before as she looks up at him offering a small nod in greeting.

Hera seems to be having a pleasant conversation with the beat cop. "Sure, it is. The bars around town can be nice, but I'm a bit more biased for the events. Then again, I did meet my girlfriend at Winterfest so I'm biased." She grins then when Mr. WTF comes in she sighs a bit, "Behave." she says, "If you don't she's a cop and she will arrest you. Be respectful ok?" Like Hera could order Everett around, "Speaking of women in the area, you know Stephanie is in the hospital right? The girl you gave a rose to." But, Alisha might be interested in other topics and she nods, "Sure, what can I help you with?" The question for Alisha.

Told to BEHAVE like he's the second of her canines, the fume lines over Everett's head are all but visible. From the corner of his eye, he glances back down at one woman, and then back over to the other. He scoffs.

And loudly
Then turns himself to face the intruder, while his attention affixes still on Hera. Brows lift, no, Everett didn't know that. "Huh," is all he says, questioningly, and then his attention returns to the blonde. Mobile, Everett stalks behind her, checking her out rather blatantly.

Alisha lips twist into a bit of smirk "That's a great reason to be biased. Your girlfriend...so that means your off the market?" she says maybe teasing. She shrugs at Hera's comment "I'm not on duty right now." she doesn't know any of the history between the two "I doubt anyone would choose to cause problems in a public place like this." there are more than a few Stephanie's and she doesn't know which Hera is referring to. A lot of people go to the hospital and it could be worth checking out later. "Well we got a report of some eh sucipious behavior here and a aggressive dog. Nothing worth really checking into as no was hurt or threatened, but maybe if you'd like to talk about that."
She does notice Everett behind her, I mean it's impossible not to. She tilts her head up to him "Look all you want. If you are going to try to touch you better at least buy me a drink first."

Everett lifts up his her to Hera in a rush, "Get her another glass of wine."
Yup. That's it.

Hera doesn't really seem to pay much attention to Everett but her focus remains on the conversation with the cop, "Oh, to say the least yeah. For the most part people don't cause problems but." She can't help to look toward Everett, "There are exceptions. As far as sucipious behavior nothing over the past few days. If Hans was aggressive it's because people might have been threatening me but, feel free to look around and, the wine is free. Anything harder and you might want to take the lady elsewhere."

Alisha snort laughs "Then you wouldn't be buying it. It would be Hera and since she already has she is free to touch." she says in joking tone before looking back over to Hera "I'm joking, you did just say you have a girlfriend. Well if anyone goes cause real problems we are just a call away." looking Hera's look. "It wasn't exactly in the last few days. Probably nothing but I did want to check up on it. Sometimes things that don't seem all that bad turn into a big threat...but what sort of people where threatening you?" given Hera's previous response her eyes do go back to the giant. "Sure if you don't mind I'll take a look around. It's nothing official at all. Just like to check up on people in town."

He notices that look cast his way. When the Roman soldier stabbed Jesus on the cross, Jesus didn't look nearly half as wounded as Everett. Nor, too, did Jesus put his right hand on his chest, mouth agape, and gasp with wounded pride. All believable. ... for a second; until his paw drops down, with his gaze, and he finishes his walk around the outsider, finishing it nearer his good bud Hans, whom Everett's never shown any interest in before. Crossing his arms over his chest, Everett cants his head while keeping an eye on the cop in normal people's clothing. Alisha's glance his way finds the brick wall looking contemplatively back down at her, his visage unexpressive. If she were anyone else the piggy and bacon jokes would be ffffflying. The last couple of sentences seem like questions for Hera, so Everett looks her way, with his glum expression.

<FS3> Everett rolls Composure: Success (8 6 5 4 3 3 3 2) (Rolled by: Everett)

Hera attempts to whisper something to Alisha for a very brief moment, as if trying to hint at something. "Sure, you are more than welcome to walk around as you see fit. Hopefully few things are threatening in this town, but you never know. "Well" maybe it's a good idea to try to be pleasant to the mountain of muscle, especially since he's not being too bad today, "Would you like some wine Everett? Free of charge of course."

Alisha's eye's do follow as he finishes looking her over/sizing her up. Not that many would consider her gothic attire normal people clothing, nor her sheer number of rings in her ears. "Don't talk much you do you? Sometimes that's a good thing, means I'm spared a ball gag." she comments to man. The attempt at whisper has her attention again going back to Hera as she goes serious again "Sadly Ms Hera there are a lot of threatening that goes on in this town and maybe worse. It never hurts to keep safe nor have another check into them. Just there is a lot more to this town than most people know."

At first uncrossing his arms over barrel chest, Everett should his head at the offer, then pauses. Considers. But then shakes his head a couple more times. "No thanks," he says in his basso tone. Smiling softly from the right side of his mouth, he turns his attention towards Alisha, albeit briefly when he adds, "I prefer it." CSI pause. "HARD." With that smirk, because he finds himself so entertaining, Everett takes the few steps to his backpack, bends down to unzip a pouch and pulls out his a ratty notebook. Flipping it open, a rubber band keeps the loose paper from escaping, and through them, he searches until he finds the one he's looking for.

Maybe she doesn't remember; but they were exchanging poetry, and one of the first contained a certain word. Well hers, he'd kept, and after holding the note for Hera to take, Everett points to the line 'What is this demonic thing you see?' He looks expectably down at Hera, "Do I have to tell you I told you so? You understand why I did that stuff now?"

Hera sighs and shakes her head. Then, she goes to pour a LARGE glass of wine for herself, even if she has decided to stop drinking too much too quickly. "A conversation like this, might require me closing the shop to the general public. To answer your last question, I still don't understand why you do the things you do but maybe you're not always harmful."

Alisha swirls her glass of wine as she considers a worthy response to Everett. Taking a longer drink before "Pain, I can't get enough. Pain, I like it rough. 'Cause I'd rather feel pain than nothing at all." lyrics following from the red and black stained lips. "Also I guess that makes two of us." then he's doing poetry to Hera. She raises a curious eyebrow. She does nod to what Hera says "I think that be best or at least at a table. I'm weird enough that people don't really question what I say out of uniform. But for everyone else probably that is a wise decision."

He's aware that they aren't alone, and cops are horrible people. Even if they fill out a dress well. Tapping his nose at the Gallery owner, Everett pauses his conversation to meticulously put the paper back where it was being bound, and takes just a couple steps towards Hera, keeping the notepad in his large left hand. "How could I have explained that, any of those... that," he's having trouble saying what he wants to say in front of Alisha, even if she does glow, and picking the right innocuous word is making him flustered.

"Fuck it," he resigns, not waiting for a locked door, "How do I tell someone that can't see the things you've seen what's going on in this city, beneath this city, to someone that doesn't." Instead of using a word, he pantomimes something falling with his fingertips, like snow or rain. "You would have thought I was crazy. Crazier. So the easiest thing to do was to make myself obnoxious so you would WANT to get away from me." Heavy exhale. Puff, puff. His bosom heaves with every labored breath... wait, that's romance writing. He breathes heavy, with the effort of getting to explain what he's been pent up for so long. So much for Alisha's theory about him not being a talker, back to Amazon looking up ball gags. Recognizing that they're lyrics, Everett scoffs through his nostrils and retaliates, going older, "I like pleasure spiked with pain and music is my areoplane."

Hera rolls her eyes and looks like she's about to say something that would clearly be annoying, but, be professional...she thinks...be a lady. She heads over to the door and locks it to the public. Should Everett or Alisha want to leave, they can easily do something. "Yeah" she tells the mountain of muscle, "I did see a creature very similar to the one who attacked me at Kim's. So, call me crazy, I already had a psych evaluation at the hospital and they let me go, so, put that in your pipe and smoke it."

Alisha doesn't look like she's about to leave. She takes in everything that Everett has to say and well it suggests that Hera is new to this or newish. She isn't "You know he isn't wrong. Everyone of us went through a time before when it all sounds likes crazy talk. Worse than that it seems to attract things at times. Maybe just coincidence though. Never been keen on knowing the whys, just putting bullets or bolts of lightning through them." to Everett's reply back that is before her time and not her type of music to start with "Don't know it but as good of philosophy as any." she sighs as Hera seems to go the defensive "Wait you've seen something, here? I really hope during that psych evaluation you didn't say anything about how you are different in the powers way."

<FS3> Everett rolls Veil Lore: Failure (5 5 5 4 2) (Rolled by: Everett)

Pulling his attention from Alisha with effort, he turns it to Hera. His brows rise and wrinkle, "Why..." and he pauses, closes his eyes, downcasts his head and pinches the bridge of his nose. Muttering something to himself under his breath, the gorilla lifts his head again, and dismissively brushes his freak flag, his long hair, back over his shoulder, "I don't know why you would talk about that kind of stuff. But now you know why I wouldn't. Certainly not before you," he gestures at the older woman, and then his arms open to gesture around, "you know. Awakened. And if I would have, I wouldn't have done it in a theater lobby. But there's a bunch I could tell you. Like Rule #1, don't use your," again with the hand twirling, "GIFTS flippantly. If its a choice between getting up to get the TV remote, or bringing it to your hand, get up. All the time. Rule #2, You don't talk about Fight Club." A slow grin appears on his lips. Sue him. He had to. "Look, I gunna get to the gym before I lose this muscle mass. There are more rules or at least things you should know."

Heading for the backpack again, he drops his notebook inside before closing the zipper, and then shoulders it again as he stands, nodding from Hera to the door. Alisha gets a parting glance, and a few words too. "If Love Was Just A Word."

Hera waves toward Everett, her expression showing one that is clearly annoyed, but she remains polite, "I have heard about /them/" she stresses, "But yes, there's a lot more I need to know, I'll give you that. I would have used my abilities to her Stephanie if I could but, I'm still learning. Don't hurt yourself at the gym." she groans, "Or else I might need to offer assistance." She shakes her head and looks to Alisha, "Nothing normal happens around here I feel."

While Everett is giving his advice Alisha finishes off her glass. Watching him go and well sometimes the classics are the best "And resentment rides high. But emotions won't grow." offering her own parting words. "Knowing about /Them/ is good avoiding them is better. Not always possible." she sighs so many dreams. "By the way which Stephanie are you talking about? Not a uncommon name after all." she isn't going to tell the red head to be cautious with her powers. Seems like she's heard it already. "Plenty of normal things happen in town all the time. Your different now so the difference now is you know when the non-normal happen. Hey look you've probably been given lectures and I usually don't talk much to people like me, so I don't drag them into danger. But I've around the block for nearly a decade and picked up things so if you want to talk."

Hera nods to what the officer talks about and she moves behind one of her smaller counters, "Yeah" she says, "I'd like to talk officer, I really would. Let's have a better drink. If I pass out well, I pass out, it's my home." Out comes the saki, and it's about 20 proof. That's strong for Hera, but it'll be lightweight for Alisha. "Stephanie she's, well, she's my cousin's partner. Have you heard of my cousin Devlin? He's the only family I have but that's a long story. You don't need to hear that. At the Addington House there was a monster, horrible looking thing. Devlin and I dragged Stephanie away so she could live another day. She's not happy but I guess getting your chest ripped apart will do that."

Alisha follows Hera to the counter and the mention of a better drink she pulls out a silver flask from her purse. "Sounds good and if you do pass out...this place is your home as well. Ah probably a loft above the place. Please it isn't officer it's Alisha." taking a look over the sake and yeah it's a little drinking day for her "I've got some whiskey if you wanting stronger." nodding as she mentions who Stephanie is and when mixed with Devlin. She knows of the EMT's in town, but never really got to know them on a personal level. "Yeah I know of them. Probably got treated by one or both of them in the past. Can't recall. Devlin's your family huh? Good thing to have in the family. So you got her out from a monster, good for you. Seriously...I'm sorry I missed that call." shaking her head she can't be everywhere and can't save everyone. It still weighs heavily on her.

Hera brightens up a bit as she receives a text from her girl. She texts away happily and then looks a bit more serious for her current conversation, "Technically the only blood family I know. He has yet to introduce me to others. I lost my parents when I was eight. It all sucks but, I do my best to move past it. Bad times. I still call this place Utopia but, I didn't know it would be that strange."

Alisha waits as Hera is busy on her phone for a bit. "Good news?" the only inquiry she makes about it. "Sorry you lost your parents. It's a rough thing and I know a little something about that. Doing your best to go beyond it is the best thing. It eats you up otherwise." giving a nod "For all the bad it's home. There are good things to and you've got to remember those. There will come a day you don't really think of it as strange at all. It will just be life, if you go down that road."

Hera replies, "My girlfriend checking on me, I tell you, this could be the one." She then pours a glass of saki, especially since the past is the subject of conversation, "Worse when you wind up being a victim of human trafficking, it does exist, especially in a border state. Don't let anyone tell you anything else." With that subject, she takes on a very serious look, "Does that...happen here? I'm not talking about something like prostitution, I'm talking about people sold into slavery to do, whatever the masters want."

Alisha smirks "The one? Wow sounds serious...so sorry about the flirting earlier then." it doesn't seem Hera is much interested in stronger so she takes a drink from her flash. As the topic goes to darker things that just people can do "I know it exists. It isn't something we can ignore." another pull from her flask before she says "Officially? No. At least as far as I know there are no active investigations. I'm not part of vice so I can't say for sure. People being bought and sold for others to do with as they please? I have my suspension's it does. People go missing and it has nothing to do with other things. In one at least one case I remember it had to do with both...that poor girl." and yep another pull.

Hera blushes when Alisha mentions that she /was/ flirting. She then just shakes her head and says, "Sorry, I didn't think that you were really flirting, sorry about that. There's still time to see things unfold but for Valentine's Day she took me to Paris and I finally told her that I love her." But the topic at hand causes Hera to take another drink, "It's a horrible horrible world out there, it really is. I had to leave some people behind. Honestly, that's one of the worst parts of it. I was so worried when I left Kim behind. I'm glad she's ok."

Alisha laughs "Ah well since you missed it. Easy enough to say it never happened. I don't need your girlfriend trying to beat me up." cocking her head to the side "Paris? For Valentine's Day. Talk about going all out. And the L word. Good for you both." a happier topic welcome, but it never lasts. "It can be. Certainly seems like we have both seen some of the worst of it." her eyes access the owner again "What could you have done? What if helping the other people you just got yourself caught again? You wouldn't be here right now. Hmm Kim?" the name was mentioned briefly as part of attack. "You had to run when the things attacked?"

Hera makes a bold move and puts her hand on the cop's shoulder. The saki might be loosening her up, or maybe she's just being friendly. "Thank you for the vote of confidence, it really does mean a lot. Though since coming to this town my confidence has gotten well, let's just say I haven't had it before." At the idea of getting caught again she sighs, "It's a form of guilt, but I'm dealing better with it, much better." And she does just that, "She's become a very good friend of mine, like a sister. She didn't need to sacrifice herself for Stephanie. Fortunately, in a way, she didn't. She has some of her artwork here I think. You should take a look at it."

Alisha doesn't seem to mind the hand on her shoulder even moving her own up to lightly pat it. "Good that Gray Harbor did something good for you. It does in fact happen and a boast to confidence is always worthwhile." she truly knows about guilt over things you can't change. "It's better for you than most. Just remember not to put too much on your shoulders." she is far from being drunk, she is certainly feeling the effects. A deep sigh is given "Has to be nice to have found people you can really get close to. Maybe I will take a look over some her artwork that you have here. I'm not much for knowing what is good, just what I I like."

<FS3> Hera rolls Composure: Success (8 6 3 3 1 1) (Rolled by: Hera)

Hera seems to be holding her alcohol well, or at least faking it. "Thank you, I'm glad that people are walking around keeping the streets safe and all. As far as putting too much on my shoulders, I try. So far I seem to be keeping everything ironed out. Do you like pottery?" she asks, "Painting? I actually wanted to do a bit of a night for musicians but I don't think I got much interest in it."

Alisha shrugs "It's what we're here for. Always will be those who want to serve a greater good. Look I want to ask you something, the stuff that's out there are you trying to take it on? Self-defense is admirable and I can't find any flaw with it." the subject going more into art. Well it is a art gallery. "Sorry never was really into that stuff. Just not one to do those things with my hands. I do some poetry but that's pretty private for me. You might get more interest than you think in a music night. I seem to recall there are a few local bands. Might not be there normal scene, but worth a ask. I do some singing myself, not in a band or anything. Just for fun."

Hera slowly starts to feel the wine but she hasn't seemed to have lost her balance too badly yet. "I, actually." she continues on saying, "I'm actually trying to be a bit of a healer, that's my focus. It's also interesting because it allows me to manipulate energies in the world around me. I'm sure you know all about that. Regarding poetry, I'm a bit of a writer myself though I wouldn't tell just anyone that. Still, pottery is my main forte. If you do poetry, you should write it down."

Alisha reaches out her hand to steady Hera just in case she does lose her balance "So no more saki for you. Unless your keen on me carrying you upstairs." listening to her further "A noble goal. You might think about about a first aid class or two to help out with it. The other half, I've heard of it. Seen it used, my focus is in the mind. Hmm you write yourself. Maybe you could let me take a look at a sample sometime. I write my poetry down, like I said it's personal and if I'm being honest just angsty trash. It helps though so I keep doing it. Why don't we get you to a seat huh?" she knows the various stages of drunk after all.

<FS3> Hera rolls Composure: Success (8 7 5 3 2 1) (Rolled by: Hera)

Hera slowly stands up and continues to steady herself. She isn't seeing the floor move out from under her but going to sit at a more comfortable spot might be good. "Anything with the arts, just about, is what I love. In my darkest days my art was there for me. As far as angsty stuff there's no shame in that. Sometimes we have to feel the anxiety and address it, then find power in dealing with it. You should never find anything you create trash, don't arrest me for saying as such but art like that is an amazing thing."

Alisha tries to help Hera out in getting to a better place to sit or lay down. Could be couches nearby "I guess art is good for that. Being there for you when little else can be." she'll keep the red head on track to getting to a place she is less able to hurt herself "I don't take shame in it. There just a lot I can't talk about and putting into words is therapeutic. Cheaper than a therapist too. I know what I write is trash, I've no training and compared to others it just isn't good, like this one guy." she stops herself shaking her head, she could be more buzzed than she thought. That doesn't bother me though. It's the act of doing it. If I didn't I'd be back to cutting."

Hera coughs a little at the idea of cutting, "Did you, self multiliate?" she asks, "That's....well, I'm sorry to hear that, if such is the case. Look, I'm not here to get too personal or anything but, things were that bad in your life that you had to do such a thing? Must have been horrible."

"I don't anymore. I used to and a lot back in high school." Alisha admits before shrugging "Thanks, I mean for showing sympathy. I doubt my situation was as bad as yours, that is truly bad. They were however some bad things going on and I came into my powers. I helped out a lot of people and well there's always a price to pay. It was a outlet, literally when I carved on my skin. I still have some scars but they are mostly faded." for her it's in the past now. She has other and in some ways far less healthy outlets.

Hera shrugs and says, "Well, that may be the case. However, I'm probably older than you so, time doesn't heal all wounds but it makes it all bearable. I have many good things to focus on, and I'm happy about that. I was actually thinking of doing more chairtable events here. What do you think about that?"

It's OMG late and seeing lights on, Devlin has come by. He peers into the window to make sure things are ok and then knocks on the glass.

It's hardly polite of Alisha to talk about age, but she isn't always polite. "More than likely you are. No offense there just aren't a lot of business owners in this town who aren't. Bearable that I am learning about and it's good for you that you have positive things to help out. I'm trying to work on that. Charitable events would be nice. Usually there aren't too many. Which charity where you thinking about donating to?" she looks to the man through the glass, the cop vaguely recognizes just can't place a name. "Someone you know Hera?"

<FS3> Hera rolls Composure: Success (6 5 4 3 2 1) (Rolled by: Hera)

Hera sees a familiar face from the other side of the window. She jumps to her feet and then goes, "Whoa." Yeah, it takes a moment but she is able to steady herself and she goes to open the door. "Cousin!" she says, though her breath smells of saki, "There's someone I want you to meet. Seems as if I met a new friend. Come on in, I have wine!"

Devlin enters the gallery, "Hey there. And hello, Miss. I'm Devlin. And let me guess.. good things have been consumed?" He smirks a bit, "So what's the topic and what is the lubercation?"

Alisha sighs and would have helped Hera go over. She gets up herself and heads over to them "Didn't we just talk about talking it easy." she extends her hand to Devlin "Right Devlin I've seen you around I think. Never did introduce myself I guess. Alisha Williams GHDP. Yeah there has been some drinking." she'll leave the topic to Hera.

Hera blushes a little at the mention of good things being consumed, "Uhm, yeah." She says, "Saki, I guess I'm making a new friend so, when was the last time you tried some? I think there might be a little left in the bottle."

Devlin says, "Paramedic with the FD." He extends his hand to Alisha to shake, the grip firm. He then answers Hera, "Oh.. couple nights ago. Could go for a nice wine and something to chew on." He nods to Alisha, "Ships passing in the day and night.. it happens. More times than anyone likes to admit""

For Alisha it's time for another pull from her silver flask at the mention of new friend. "Not sure how much is left in that bottle. Say Devlin think you could help me escort her back to a sitting position. Only because I need some help myself and I know Hera wouldn't want me to fall." giving him a quick wink. She does return the handshake with a firm grip of her own "Too true. Seen a lot of faces in the two departments, socializing just wasn't high on my list. Doubt I'd recognize half out of uniform."

Hera slowly, ever so slowly, goes to take a seat on the couch. "I could handle more liquor when I was younger, just so you know. Age, it'll be the death of me to say the least. I think the pets will cuddle with me tonight. Jessica has her deadlines."

Devlin chuckles some as he assists, "Land of Nametags.. first name on the collar last name over the pocket.. makes things all to easy." He winks to Alisha, "To many people think that socializing includes benefits.." He then sighs, "Truth is.. a good team decompresses together at one time or another. Shared experiences.. let the frustration together. In the end, makes for a stronger team."

Alisha of course helps as well "Just means your drinking less. Some people would say that's a good thing. Sure you have lots of years left, if you need someone to cu..." she says biting her lip, that's right she needs to behave and ignore her own buzz. Before giving Devin's comment a laugh "Yeah loads easier. Maybe we could just tattoo it on our foreheads." she cocks her head to the side "Benefits? Our than company because anything more with co-workers is just awkward as fuck. Well I'll have to take your word for team togethers. I've always found I can handle it on my own and still make a good team player. I could be wrong though."

Hera grins as she watches the exchange between Alisha and Devlin. She's giddy, probably beyond buzzed at this point, but she ends up saying, "Who wouldn't want to cuddle with Devlin? He's cute and cuddleble, cuddleble, is that a word I mean." She then looks at them both and asks, "Am I making sense?"

Devlin says, "Blame a dozen years in the 82nd, four tours between Iraq and Afghanistan for my views where teams are concerned." He chuckles a bit, "Tattoos.. not a bad idea. Frankly my only worried.. are the prudes that would use that as evidence that we are a lessor class." He takes a breath, "Yes.." he flushes, "YOu are Hera.. you have commented many times about me being cute."

Alisha exhales oh good Hera didn't realize she was talking about the red head. "I don't with people I work with, not that he isn't cute. Just some of the booze going to my head. You are still making sense so don't worry. Some sleep soon would do you a world of good." she then nods to Devlin "I can see how that would. Never been in the service, straight from school to the academy. A dozen years that is impressive as all hell." shaking her head in a amused manner glancing over her outfit "I'm afraid with some like me on the force they already have that opinion. But those same prudes still call 911." she giggles some at his flush, but not waiting to add to it refrains from saying more.

Hera cackles for a moment and says, "You should take it as a compliment cousin. That's all it is. Heck if someone told me all the time that I was good looking, I'd certainly enjoy the attention, no need to lie about that. You only have to worry about Stephanie taking advantage of you but I don't think she's going to do that soon."

Devlin smiles a bit, "Nothing wrong with that, I went from High School to boot camp myself. And I have patched up a few of those prudes after they had too much fun." He chuckles a bit, "I should really head home soon myself."

Hera yawns a little and says, "Alisha, if you don't mind can you make sure I make it to the bed?" She then waves to her cousin, "Good night."

Alisha nods to Hera and will make sure she get upstairs and either Devlin or her will lock up. After all if can't trust the first responders who can you trust?
