Devlin
For those that like to follow events in California or even more specifically LA; Devlin's face may seem familiar to some.
Devlin was involved circumstances surrounding the death of one Santiago Gomez, the son of State Senator Daniel Gomez. Santiago was involved in a horrible car accident with three others and died on operating room table. The Senator went on the war path, blaming Devlin's choices in triage and who got air lifted first. The state senate lead an investigation into what happened. Many experts testified against Devlin while the people that worked with Devlin that night testified that he made the right choices to save people. The various panels one by one ruled against Devlin while Senator Gomez started publicly attacking Devlin's competency as an Paramedic. The Senator tried to turn Devlin's experience in the Army with four deployments into a case of a man with a hidden PTSD issue that can not be trusted to critical decisions under pressure. As they say, opinions vary and in the end, Devlin left California for Washington State. After a few days the State Senator turned his attention to other issues for his district after declaring running an incompetent and mentally ill Devlin away from any EMS teams in California.

Military - Enlisted as a Medic. Devlin left active duty in 2017 and is currently a reservist in the Washington National Guard. 4 deployments with the 82nd to Iraq and Afghanistan
Classes - Now that he has his Paramedic Certifications handled, word has it that he is training as a rescue swimmer. Possible adrenaline junkie?
Martial Artist - Devlin has a black sash in both Shaolin Kung Fu and Tai Chi Chuan. He is not certified to teach.
Hobbies - Skydiving, Bow Hunting, Music (Guitar), and Camping
Glimmer - Devlin does shine and has a bit of a clue in these matters.
This tall man before you exudes a sense of confidence and authority in the way he carries himself. Brown eyes follow nearly every movement within their gaze; like a bird of prey scanning and evaluating what is around it. His five o'clock shadow seems to naturally reinforce what strikes many as a serious expression; however, it is off set a little by a sense of weariness that can be seen in his eyes. There is a sense of military style to the way his dark brown hair is cut short on the sides and combed back on top. As he moves about, there is a practiced grace in how he walks that also shows off a bit of his athleticism without being overly muscular.
His current choice of clothing lets you see more of his personal life. A dull black leather jacket hangs comfortably on his shoulders. Beneath the jacket is a maroon pocket t-shirt that is stretched tightly over firm pecs and abs. Jet black jeans hang on his waist secured by a brown leather belt that sports a brass buckle that is done in Celtic knot work. Brown tactical boots protect his feet and ankles. The only jewelry he seems to wear is what looks like a diver's watch with a plain black band. When outdoors, he wears a black ball cap that has embroidered design for a Combat Medic Badge on the front and on the back it has the words, So Others May Live.

Some Gray Harborites are old enough to remember the Columbus Day Storm.%r%rSummer is a weird time for this to happen. But this is Gray Harbor, which specializes in weird. So, as everyone scrambles to prepare for a weatherly beating the likes of which most people have never seen and may never see again in their lifetimes--what do //you// get up to? %r%r--%r%rThis is an Open Vignette scene. It will remain available until after the storm 'officially' arrives, which won't be until some time next week.
