Alisha comes into the gallery. She's in her off duty outfit which involves a black dress that barely covers all of her. As well as so many piercings in her ears. Ali is looking very dismissed, far more than her normal dress. Looking for Hera, at least after taking a deep drink from her flask. The red head is becoming a quick friend and she has request to make of her.

Hera stands behind the main counter, at least what is considered the main counter and wipes it off casually. There's always a need to clean clean and clean some more, especially if you have pets around and about. Queso is probably in a corner somewhere and Hans just lays down on the couch not too far from Hera. The dog is familiar with seeing Alisha so he doesn't move, but Hera pauses a moment and blinks, "Wow uhm...wow." she comments, "You uhm, certainly aren't dressed for the winter anymore."

Nothing like being one of Hera's favorite strong guys.. this time she has talked Devlin into helping move several of the heavier stands into the gallery. Plus set some of the new heavier framed paintings into position. "Hope that is the last one. These things are both heavy and awkward to move. Oh hi Alisha.. if Hera was good to her word, should be a fresh pot of coffee up soon."

Alisha grins at Hera "It's spring here. Well I don't expect you to know what my hometown's weather is like. This is good weather." she moves over closer to the gallery owner "I have a request to ask of you. I've been a mom for way too long. I'm not a good one and I think my sister needs one. Would you like to have my baby sister spend a few days before her graduation here?"

She nods to the other first responder "Hey there Devlin. Good to see you here. Good on her word there would be hard liquor waiting for me." she winks at him.

Hera listens to the conversation at hand and 'ahems' for a moment. Well, it's not a bad thing she asked, but it was unexpected, "Meaning for someone to watch after your younger sister for a while?"

Devlin hmms, "Interesting.. new wine perhaps, Hera? And babysitters.. oddish topic of sorts.. well to me."

Alisha nods to Hera. "Yeah and she needs it. I'm not a good influence on her." in a rare moment of introspection she admits this "I am sure you could be a better mother to her than I could ever be."

Ali looks to Devlin "Well she needs a father as well. Our own father...well." she can't bring herself to say anything bad about their father. Still he isn't here anymore "Look Devlin. She could use a good male figure in her life. And I have a request don't speak a word about this town's weirdness."

Hera listens carefully to the cop's requests and then she offers a small smile, "I'd love to get to know your sister. I'd really like that. Maybe we can talk about college related things, and just, pal around at the movies or something?"

Devlin shrugs, "Not sure what kind of father I would be.. I have not spent much time with kids other than when I teach Kung Fu.. mind you, to teach the art according to the lineage I follow, I have a ways before I can teach unless with a head instructor." He then walks over to the coffee but pauses.. "Still.. may be I can get permission for one student.."

Alisha nods her head to Hera. "Whatever you can tell her. I'm just...I don't want her to follow my path. Just spend a weekend with you and I am sure that would be good for her. You are wiser than I could ever be." Ali just shrugs. She truly doesn't want Julie to follow in her footsteps.

Ali laughs at Dev's reaction "Not asking you to be a father. Just if you'd like to help Hera." all this honesty has a toll on her "If you'd like try to be the best male role model you can. She may not like Kung Fu, but self defense in this town is a good thing."

Hera nods as she seems to take serious note of the conversation. "I think a weekend would be great and I'd love to take her shopping. Maybe I can even teach her how to do pottery. Sure! Just setup a time. I'm all for it actually. I really am."

Devlin nods, "Martial Arts helps in a lot of ways. But we'll see how it works out. I also teach Tai Chi.. most kids don't have the patience for it." he then pours a mug of coffee, "What is your sister's name or did I miss that?"

Alisha takes this talk just as serious. "Good. She probably needs that as compared...you know what never mind." she shakes her head "Teaching her other arts, that would be good for her. Truly do you not mind Hera? She needs a normal life." something Ali is sure she can't give her sister.

"Her name is Julie. Maybe you did miss it, but it doesn't matter. She isn't a kid. Julie has more patience than I ever did. If you can help her. Please do so."

Devlin nods, "I can see what I can do." He smiles, "What are her interests?

Alisha looks seriously at Devlin "In medicine. She wants to be a doctor. She is smart enough to do so, even without eh...being like us. Even in her last year of school she is taking college courses. I know you have some medic experience. Anything you can show her outside of the strange...she isn't cursed like me. If you can teach her. I'd be in your debt."

Devlin says, "A good doctor starts with being able to think." he smiles, "I learned a few things in my four combat tours. I might be able to arrange for her to visit a Medivac unit.." He then hmms.. "I only use what we have to help with what I do.. like stabilize someone. I know the darkmen do want their due.. and we do not have gold coins for them.. they desire something else.""

Hera yawns a little and sees herself staring at the counter, "I uhm, yeah, time for me to go to bed but, Hans will see you out, Queso won't." she makes some sense at that and begins to head up to her apartment.
