Katy's awake, it's early morning. Somewhere between 5 and 6am. She isn't able to sleep. She'd previously been taken away while in her office, and that's where she'd been returned after the Dream. She figures that Jonathan is asleep in the other room already and tries to stay quiet as the pain of the strikes she'd taken and the damage sustained is actually a lot more painful than she expects it to be. It feels too late to try to sleep but too early for breakfast somehow. Nothing seems injured from the outside, but she imagines there's a lot of bruising and her chest hurts. A lot. She sends a text message off.

(TXT to Erin) Katy : I can't breathe. Just came out of a Dream. I offer mimosas and breakfast as payment.

While he's been asleep until now, Jonathan woke up and realized Katy wasn't in the room. So, after having taken a few moments to visit the bathroom, probably the original reason why he woke up this early, he steps out into the apartment, steps a bit slow. "Hey..." he calls out, rather softly. After all, it's early, and people in the rest of the building are probably asleep.

Katy is leaning over the kitchen counter, looking down at her phone. She looks and seems to be tense. She walks over to Jonathan and gives her a hug, her wincing subtle yet visible to him.

"Hey, you're up earl..." Jonathan trails off as he notices that tenseness, and the wincing. Hugging her back, he makes sure to be as gentle as possible. "What's wrong?" he asks, voice kept rather quietly.

"...Dream," she mumbles as she moves away and heads back to the kitchen to check on her phone and make some coffee.

It's not too terribly much longer that Erin arrives. For one, she lives nearby and secondly, her car is very, very fast. And sometimes she likes driving it super fast. This time she was actually good at it! No accidents, no near misses. Zoom! Zoom! Up the elevator and to the door for a loud knock that may wake some of the neighbors. It may sound kind of like a cop knock.

Jonathan nods a little slowly as he hears that. "What happened?" He steps into the kitchen as well, frowning as he listens. There's a pause at the knock on the door. Who knocks on the door at this time? After all, he hasn't seen that text message or anything. "Who...?" he begins.

"Erin, I hope." Katy replies quietly as she pulls a frozen package of bacon to ice her right arm. She is in the mood for bacon for breakfast and it needs to be defrosted anyway.

Tada! That's exactly who it is. "Let me in there," Erin calls through the door. "My cousin needs me!" She doesn't check to see if it's locked, she's just not going to power walk into anyone's apartment whether they are expecting her or not.

"This early?" Jonathan asks, before he simply nods, moving for the door to let Erin in. "Good morning..." he offers as he opens the door, before stepping back a little.

To Jonathan she admits, "I thought she would be asleep and not see the text for another hour or two." And when Erin enters, she gives her cousin a tentative hug before leading her into the kitchen, icing her arm with bacon still.

Oh good thing he steps aside when he opens the door, Erin does that power walk inside as soon as she's able. "Where is she?" The demand made before she walks over and hugs her cousin gently then walks into the kitchen with her. "Why the kitchen? Let's get you comfortable so I can check you out." Adding as an afterthought. "Please."

Jonathan follows out into the kitchen, frowning a little as he does. He looks concerned, but keeps quiet for now. He knows one should not interrupt people when they get into that particular mode, after all. But he remains close for now.

Katy is as stubborn as they come, usually. The kitchen is for her to place the bacon on the counter for Jonathan to prepare. "Babe, you mind making breakfast for three this morning?" she asks sweetly. Then she turns to the living room and sits on the couch. "I feel like someone beat the crap out of me, Erin," she reports, "Like someone punched through my chest."

"I'll say I won't ask, but you are more than welcome to tell me about what happened. I'll hear you while I check you over." Erin tells her, following to the living room. While Katy seats herself on the couch, Erin does the same, close by, and she takes her cousins hand. There's a brief glance spared for Jonathan. "Please call me anytime she's hurt, or you're hurt. I can help." Turning her attention back to Katy, she gets a sort of far away look in her eyes, unfocused. Still listening, but she's now checking out the wounds, from the inside out!

Jonathan nods as he hears that, moving to get himself something to drink, then stepping over closer to the living room for now. "Will do," he replies to Erin, watching as she seems to be checking out Katy's wounds, still looking a bit concerned.

"I was staying up late doing some coding because I couldn't sleep. I must have fallen asleep at my computer, because then I ended up in this weird pageant with Lucas Lake, you know, Atli's Lucas. And it went sideways from there quickly. The audience attacked us, shadowy creature times. I got scratched up, punched, like someone punched me right through my rib cage, and it hurts." The explanation is short, not wanting to be concern Jonathan and Erin.

<FS3> Erin rolls Medicine: Success (7 5 3 3 3 2 1) (Rolled by: Erin)

"So many wounds." Erin tells her, then starts naming them off. "Your abdomen, your arm." The one that had been holding the bacon. "Your chest, very badly. And repeatedly.." Several different ones! While she is checking her out, she starts trying to heal each wound from the inside out, able to diagnose each one with her skills in medicine.

Erin adds in an offhand manner. "Was there anyone else there we know?"

Jonathan frowns as he listens, taking a sip from the juice he had poured himself. As he hears Katy's description of what happened, his free hand clenches in a fist a bit thoughtfully, carefully listening to what's being said for now.

"I mean, Lucas, August from the Garden Party..." Katy isn't sure if she knows the others. But those are the two notable names. "Lucas hasn't responded to my texts and I'm worried about him."

Erin looks over to Jonathan once she is finished healing her cousin. The wounds are slowly healing, the bruising even lessening. "She will be fine," she reassures, seeing his hand clench, "But she wasn't before, she was very wounded." Concern on her features, she nods about Lucas. "I wish he would respond. He's a fireman though, if he fails to show for his shift, we'll know something. As for August, I could text him and see if he is hurt." In fact, she tugs her phone out of her coat pocket and sends out a text.

"I should probably tell Atli what happened, right?" Katy says quietly, and she sounds like she isn't looking forward to explaining anything to her cousin. "Especially if there's something going on with Lucas?"

"Maybe he's managed to fall asleep?" Jonathan offers to the part about Lucas, before he nods at Erin's words. "True." He also smiles a bit at the reassurance, offering them both a smile. "I should get the breakfast ready," he offers, after a few more brief moments of pause.

Katy shakes her head at the suggestion Lucas might be asleep. She knows what she saw. She doesn't say a word further.

"Would you like to text her now? Maybe she is awake. If not, she will see it when she wakes." Erin tells Katy with a warm smile then a nod to Jonathan. "Only if you are both up for the day. Katy should get rest." Her phone chimes and she frets visibly. "August does need my help. Would you mind if I pop over there and help him, then come back here to you both?"

"That's what I thought," katy says when she hears Erin mention August needing help, "Keep me posted. I'll try to get some rest."

Jonathan nods a little as he hears that. "Sounds like rest is what's on the menu first, then," he replies, nodding a bit. "Thank you for coming over here at this hour and helping." Nodding again at the part about August needing help. "He'll be in good hands, then."

Erin leans in to hug her gently. "I'm so sorry you're hurt and I can come by again after you both get some rest." Rising, she checks her phone again. "I'll get over there. Text me if you need me before." A smile to them both and then she is gone as quick as she gets there.

Katy walks her to the door and hugs Erin once more before she departs.
