(TXT to Ravn) Vic : Hey, is this Danish guy Ravn from the bar last night?
(TXT to Vic) Ravn : Squawk? Who's this?
(TXT to Ravn) Vic : Vic Grey. I spoke to Bennie about your situation and she gave me the go ahead to hire you as a barback. You'll clean tables, pick up empties, do dishes, wash the floors after closing. Possible to work your way up to bartender after a while, if that suits you.
(TXT to Vic) Ravn : Sounds good to me! I might even end up learning something, terrible thought as that may be. When's working hours, and is there any kind of dress code?
(TXT to Ravn) Vic : I mean, dresscode is basically don't be naked or covered in filth? I guess? We wore bikini's and daisy dukes on the 4th, but usually I'm just in jeans and a shirt. Wear stuff that's easy to clean or you won't care if it gets beer or hard liquor on it. Spills happen. You can either come in for early shift and clean things before opening, or late shift and clean things after close. Your choice, just let the boss know what works for you and she'll make a schedule. You can start tonight if you want. Tomorrow otherwise.
(TXT to Vic) Ravn : Tonight's fine for me, I've got nothing else I need to be doing. I'll leave the filth back home too, just to make a good impression. Not afraid to get my hands dirty, don't worry. When's early shift, 6? 7?
(TXT to Ravn) Vic : 6 pm. Last call is at 2am. Most patrons are out by 2:30 and we can get out of there by 3.
(TXT to Vic) Ravn : I'll come in at 5, get my bearings and pretend to look like I know what I'm doing. See you there? And thanks for the heads-up!
(TXT to Ravn) Vic : Yep, I should be in for a while tonight. Maybe. Depends on stuff. I'll drop by to check on you either way. Bennie or Jay should be there, or the other staffers, and they can give you the info you need.
(TXT to Vic) Ravn : Thank you. I think that if push comes to shove, I can even figure out how to wash a floor unassisted. 😉
