(TXT to ) Kailey : Hey! I'm doing ok. Had to get surgery on my shoulder for nerve repair. But it could have been worse. How are you?? I didn't get to thank you for saving my life. Is this the third or fourth time? 😛

(TXT to Kailey) August : eh, no use keeping count. this is like in a war zone; you don't keep count there either. sorry about the shoulder, I shouldn't have tried to drag both of you. did it need implants or will it heal up on its own?

(TXT to ) Kailey : Doc said with PT shouldn't be too much loss. Though Ev worked some magic, so I think I'll be better off that most. Between you and me I think it's so he and Bean aren't on diaper duty for months on end. 😉 I suppose I should start going to the gym wgen it heals. (TXT to Kailey) August : as to why she wants to kill them--I mean the actual reason--it's not clear. that's a thing a lot of us have been picking at, especially Alexander, for a long time. as best we can tell, it's something about Glimmer.

(TXT to ) Kailey : Good to know. Thanks. Hmmm...could it just be she's working for Them? They like to make life as paindful as possible for those of us that Glimmer. And if both families do, then that kinda messing makes a certain kind of sense.

(TXT to Kailey) August : I'm...not clear on that. at one point I'd have said yes. now, I'm not so sure. or, I think it's probably yes, but not that simple. it's only been going on for a couple hundred years, and all.

(TXT to ) Kailey : Uh...couple hundred years? This place isn't that old...?

(TXT to Kailey) August : eh, give or take--the town was founded in 1884 but there were missionaries out this way in the early 1800s. Spanish before that.

(TXT to ) Kailey : Oh. Wow. That's kinda crazy to think this stuff has been happening that long

(TXT to Kailey) August : yeah. all we really know, is the Baxters founded it, then the Addingtons bought them out. or, ran them out. one way or another. as to why it turned into some kind of crusade, well, that's the million dollar question.
