Kailey has taken on a job. And as they all disembark onto the cold docks, mostly naked, she is trying to be serious. From the boat she snags a blanket which is pulled down, billowing, to be offered to the injured man. Eyeing Aidan in his Lei and destroyed shirt and wounds all over. "You poor thing," The phone that August is borrow is then taken in turn as she makes a call. "Hey. I need you to come get me at dock...uhh..." She scans the numbers and lists it off. "Quick. Ian can cover you for 30 minutes. Grab the duffel from upstairs. The purple one. " There is a pause and some talk on the other end. Someone, female, sounding flustered. "Just...please? It's me and you know Ev will understand." There's a sigh that is audible, one word, and then the call is ended.

Turning to Aidan she offers him her shoulder again. "Come on, let's head for the parking lot. I got a ride and clothes on the way...how -do- you explain all the weird injuries you get? Or do the doctors just...not ask around here?" She's only been badly injured enough to need the hospital once.

Aidan has a lei. This is at least a positive, yes? It doesn't really offset the state of his chest, though, and frankly it's impressive he's managing to stay awake and mobile. Likely August's work to thank for that. He accepts the blanket with a murmured "Thanks," and wraps it around himself, seeming to get somewhat spacier as time goes on; it takes a moment before he remembers what to do with the shoulder and works out how to deal with the blanket (it ends up around them both).

"'kay," he says agreeably to things being on the way, though there's more of a hesitation when the question about doctors comes up. "I. Um, well, mostly I kinda avoided hospitals any time I could until a couple months ago. 'cause. I had friends who could help and 'cause answering questions at hospitals just makes trouble and I don't want them keeping me again? But. Now things work different. So I kinda... so far it seems like the doctors here, either they're like us so you can tell them and they help figure out what to put down, or they're not and they kinda... end up coming up with their own explanation? Especially if you kinda stay vague." He pauses, free hand lifting to push thought his curls. "I still don't..." A pause. "I forgot what I was saying."

Kailey helps with the blanket and certainly helps with keeping Aidan upright...and then some. Her Glimmer is a pleasant warm pink glow as they wait for whoever she called to show up. "It's okay, hon. You were hurt mad. Probably lost a lot of blood, though seems to be mostly stopped now. I can't heal your...it's a thing I apparently can't learn?" She gives his injured test a worried once over while also looking apologetic. That all vanished in a surprised head-tilt as she notes the edges already look better. "Um...what?" Her eyes flick from wounds to look up at Aidan before she starts giggling.

Aidan is all about pleasant warm glows right now, particularly as they counter unpleasant slightly chilled pain. "...yeah," he agrees regarding the likely loss of blood. Feeling decidedly lightheaded, so that tracks, right? "'m really good at it. Or I was. Now it's all slow. But can't do it to myself... are you hurt? You're okay, right?" Now that he's thinking about it, he's got time to worry, giving her a somewhat wobbly once-over himself. He is, however, somewhat distracted by having the improvement pointed out -- the ache in his abdomen had somehow eased, and he knows that feeling at the edges. He blinks, brow furrowing. "Are. Um. You sure you can't learn?"

"Dude all I doing is holding you up with the Force," Kailey says as she snickers around her words. She reaches out to gently trail a finger a little ways from the wound. "I've tried since I got here and learned it was a thing. No luck. I can make myself burn that color." She shrugs her shoulders and frowns thoughtfully. "Maybe it was the exploding Ginger? Or the pina coladas?" Cause no, she can't heal that would be silly. Right? She finds it silly.

A car, a beat up early aught Honda sedan comes driving up. It's blue and the backseat is mostly clear except for a lot of empty energy drink cans. The woman in front is looking annoyed at Kailey. She's one of the waitresses at Sweet Retreats and apparently they're friends? "Can you take us to the hospital please? We got mugged," She says and for a moment there's a surge of purple-blue glimmer. It reaches out towards the driver only to dissipate around her.

"Uuuuhuh...suuuuuure. Yo, look, I don't wanna know. You're the one gotta tell the Boss," The driver says holding up both hands and shaking her head. That makes Kailey snort and roll her eyes.

"It ain't like that!" Kailey begins to reply.

"Girl, you both near naked, out on the fancy docks at...5 fucking AM!" Kailey pouts through the passenger window and her friend sighs and rolls her eyes. "Whatever. Get in. I'll take your sorry ass to the hospital. But you owe me, Holt!" Kailey's pout becomes a beaming smile and she pulls open the door for Aidan and goes to help him ease into the back seat.

"Aidan, this is Tish. Short for Tricia. She's an angel."

"The FUCK I am." The car starts once they are both in and buckled.

"Can't be the exploding Ginger, that's what got me here to start with," Aidan says, sounding almost certain of that, "...maybe pina coladas though? Dude, it would be kinda awesome if pina coladas started healing people!" He tenses slightly at the finger-trail, but it hurts less than he expected, even if that might be partly because the state of the rest of his chest remains Really Painful.

Given the magician drives a van that's not only older than he is but might possibly be giving whoever his parents were a run for their money, early-aughts Honda's perfectly fine by him. "Hey," he greets the driver, giving her a friendly grin. He's usually pretty good at that, though both pain and mystic pot are having their effects. "I'm Aidan. Um. Thanks for coming to help." He kind of needs Kailey's assistance to fold into the backseat right now; 6'2" of injured-and-blanket-wrapped takes a little doing to fit back there, but he does manage to find a position he can do and buckle up, even if after a wince he moves the shoulder strap portion behind him instead of in front. "Is it really 5 am?"

Kailey helps with buckling Aidan in. There is worry hanging at the corners of her eyes even as she smiles. "Pina colada potions of healing would be awesome. I wasn't hurt so guess it didn't have anything to heal on me?" That seems more likely to her., magic booze. Whatever it is, Aidan is healing.

"Yep. It is...I am as put out by that as you. Especially since I have no cash and really want hash browns," Kailey says as she leans forward to snag the duffel she asked Trish to grab. The driver waves at Aidan but seems content to just drive. "Oh sweet. Here," She pulls out a blue and green and pink tie-dye shirt and hands it over. It's an XL by the label.

"Oh, shit, hashbrowns sound amazing," Aidan says, eyes widening a bit. "...only I don't have any cash either. I don't have any pockets." Which is just a little bit funny, apparently, though it doesn't manage to overpower the fact that his chest still really hurts, even if his abdomen feels surprisingly less bad than it did. He'll take the improvement, mind. And also the shirt, which gets another sudden bright grin. "Oh, awesome, thanks!" he says, and starts to remove what's left of his original one before pausing, either because OW or because, "I'm gonna bleed all over it, though..." Hm. Maybe he should wait? "Did you dye it?"

Kailey grins at his own enthusiasm. And there is a mighty eye-roll from the driver. It just so happens there is a McDonalds ahead and she pulls into the drive thru without a word. Kailey, however, is distracted with helping Aidan. "Eh. The pink will blend. Also you wash with cold water and soap before washing and blood will come out fairly easy."

"Gimme eight hash browns and...six sausage biscuit. You guys want coffee? Gimme three large coffees and lotta sugar n' cream," Trish is heard to order. Kailey turns an excited smile on her friend.

"You rock!" Is what Kailey says. "Coffee is good."

Aidan entirely misses the eye-roll, but he does not miss the ordering. "Dude, thank you!" he says to Trish, "And yeah, coffee is good. All of that sounds really good. I'm not usually this hungry when I get hurt. It's weird." He takes Kailey's advice on the shirt issue, though, at least as far as going back to attempting to very carefully remove the old shirt and possibly even more carefully pull on the new. There is a very quiet, "Ow," as he has to move his arms around to manage it, and red does immediately start bleeding (ha) into the design where it covers his chest, before he carefully pulls the fabric away from his skin. She's right, though -- it does blend, at least a bit. "Think they'll let me eat stuff in the ER? I... can't remember if I ever tried."

"Eat before you get there and they can't stop ya," Kailey advices with a cheeky smile with Trish snorts. She pays with a card and pulls forward, grabbing things as they are before the real morning rush. Especially here. Though not the munchie rush. Still, soon cups of coffee are being passed back. Kailey, thinking on her feet, says, "Put the scraps of your old shirt over the wound to soak and help it stop bleeding." She carefully pulls out the backseat cup holders and places the coffee inside. A bad is handed back to them and she begins pulling out hash browns and sausage bisquits, handing Aidan two of each and take the same. The first bite gets happy moaning and Trish giggling as she pulls away, her own mouth full of hashbrown. "Oh. My. God. This is amazing!" It really isn't, but at the moment it seems that way. The car begins the last five minutes drive to the actual hospital.

"'kay true," Aidan grants, and eyes the remnants of his old shirt before folding it into something reasonably flattish and lifting the new shirt to set the old one into that spot. It is not exactly sterile. But to be fair, it WAS on the wound already, so it's probably done any harm it's likely to by now. He makes another 'okay that kinda hurts' face, with a just-barely-audible whimper, but gets it together after a breath, particularly when the snacks get passed back as well.

"Haaashbrooowwwns!" he sings happily as they're handed to him, and takes an immediate big bite out of one, resulting in a much more muffled sound of continuing approval. If one pays attention, it's still clear he's in a pretty good amount of pain -- there's a tenseness to his body and a carefulness of movement that doesn't match anything like the kind of stoned he otherwise appears to be -- but right now this is genuinely the best thing he's eaten in recent memory, and is awesome. And there's more! Can he eat all of that in the five minutes left before arrival? He's game to find out. As it turns out, when they get there, he has to shove the last half of a sausage biscuit into his mouth all at once, but that's a sacrifice he's more than willing to make.

Kailey is as voracious as the rest of them. Devouring her own hash browns and biscuits with rapidity. For those five minutes the sounds of eating and happy humming fill the car. Along with the radio playing Yellow by Coldplay. Trish puts the car into park out front of the ER. "Lemme get you a wheelchair," Kailey tells Aidan. It looks like she really wishes she could do more for him and his pain. "Be just a tic," And out of the backseat she scampers. Fetching a wheelchair and bringing it back to Aidan's side. Helping to slowly get him from car to chair.

Aidan makes an unintelligible sounds that probably is intended to be something along the lines of a protest that he can walk okay, she doesn't have to do that, but is in fact 'I have half a sausage biscuit in my mouth right now', and by the time he's got the seatbelt unbuckled and untangled from himself and the door open, unfolding from the seat, she's probably made it back already. He's also finally finishing chewing that too-big bite, so able to say reasonably clearly "Thank you again! I owe you, like... more hashbrowns or a box of pop-tarts or something, at least," to Trish as he wriggles out, trying not to spill what's left of his coffee. That's probably a place the wheelchair helps, since it's much easier to drink some more of it when the pain from moving his arm doesn't have an impact on his balance or speed of movement. "...and thanks," he adds to Kailey, giving her a smaller smile than the more frequent grins. "It's really nice of you helping me get here and all."

"Us artsy types gotta stick together, right? And besides, you've helped my ass more than a few times too," Kailey says with a wink as she moves to push him into the admitting area. "And, like, I had a friend I knew I could call. And Ev'll come pick me up. It's all good!" She is in a good mood at least and as she navigates the wheelchair she starts making 'vroom vroom' and racing noises. Though she isn't turning or runing with him in the chair. Being very gentle and aware of his injuries that remain. "So you're welcome I guess?" She adds after a length pause in which one might wonder if she was going to answer. "You want me to call anyone to bring your stuff when Ev brings my things?"

"Right!" Aidan exclaims, "...but, like, if you get hurt, come find me and I'll try to help it. Okay?" A nod. Okay. Not that he was asking himself, but. These details are unimportant. Considering the state of his chest, he's in a pretty damn good mood himself, and the wheelchair vrooming makes him laugh, even if he immediately kind of regrets it. At least she's being thoughtful with the actual pushing, as far as that goes!

That question gives him pause, and he goes quieter for a good few moments. "...I kinda don't... with Baylee gone..." He's silent for a moment, suddenly looking a good deal unhappier, before coming up with, "D'you know Ravn? 'cause he maybe would. And can get into my place."

"I mean...I can get into any place that is locked..." Kailey says with a chagrinned grin and roll of her eyes. "But yeah, I know him. I have his number even. And hey, if you need someone to be youre emergency call person, you can put me down okay? I meant it about artists sticking together. I was travelling city to city for too long not to believe in that." And she leans in to give him an awkward and gentle hug for behind. It is really more a squeeze of her shoulders with her cheek against his ever so fluffy and soft hair. "Oh. My. God. Your hair. Is it always this soft?" The very distractable and high young mother is reaching to start playing with it when she stops.

"Sorry, sorry..." The nurse at reception is looking at them funny. I mean, who wouldn't? Kailey isn't exactly dressed and neither is Aidan. "Hiiiii...he needs help. We were, uh, drunk and playing, uh, twister and he fell...on the fireplace tools. Stabby stabby. Much ow and fire too." She isn't so bad at coming up with things on the fly. The nurse's eyes go a little rounder.

"Oooookay...can I see an ID and Insurance card?" Then she squints at Aidan. "Don't I recognize you?"

"So can I although the easiest way, it's kinda hard to lock it again. Though... I guess I could just put it back together..." Aidan smiles a little at the hug, leaning into it as it's avoiding all the really ouchie areas and, well, hug. The remarks on his hair make the smile widen, and get something of a giggle, as well. "I mean, usually? As long as I didn't end up soaked in something gross." Not a given, in this town.

Kailey's story might not have been the one he'd have come up with, but he's been through this sort of things and its cousins enough that he automatically nods agreement with the claim, and gives the nurse a somewhat sheepish look. Sheepish and in pain. The former doesn't lessen at all with her first questions. "Um. I don't have any on me right now," he apologises, and looks uncertain when she squints into that next inquiry. "...maybe? I've kinda. Been here a few times. Um, the insurance and stuff might already be in the computer? It'd be under Aidan Kinney. A-I-D-A-N K-I-N-N-E-Y, April first 1993." Yeah, he's been in hospitals some. "Hopefully my friend might be able to bring the actual ID in a bit, maybe."

Kailey leans down and whispers, "It's super easy to unlock a lock with the Force. Don't even have to break it, right?" Then there is a giggle as she straightens and tries to look at the nurse all serious. But she splutters with more giggles while trying too hard to be serious. "Sorry," She says without really meaning it. "I'll get your stuff if ya like. Not like I'm gonna be going back to sleep anytime soon." Her attention turns to the nurse as the woman starts typing things in. "Do you happen to have a breast pump I can use? I'm about to burst." The look she is given is actual open-mouthed astonishment. Then the nurse looks at her boobs and Kailey just looses it to the giggle. "Or...or...a blanket? We're both -hehehe- kinda cold?" She manages to get out around her sniggering. Cold and leaking in her case. Aidan's just leaking a red fluid.

"That's how I meant," Aidan murmurs back, though possibly he wasn't thinking of quite the same method she was. Physical's the aspect that came latest and least naturally to him, after all. "Thanks," to the offer of getting his things is also a murmur, but he wasn't expecting the breast pump question any more than the nurse was, and it breaks him out in giggles as well. Giggles and 'ow's, because laughing... really uses the chest kind of a lot.

"Blanket'd be nice," he agrees, and with a glance down, he notices the shirt is covering the wounds and the blood that's passed the old shirt's semi-bandaging isn't super-obvious against the tie-dye, so he gingerly (ha) reaches down to the hem of it to lift it up and show the nurse the issue. "Um. I do think I need... things." It's a little hard to think, whether due to pain or glimmer-weed, but things he's pretty sure is accurate.

The nurse shakes her head at Kailey, "No pump...but I'll get you two blankets in a minute," She says with a significant glance at the woman. "Here you are, dear. Just take a sit over there and we'll get you see soon, hmm?" And Kailey nods and pushes Aidan over. "I'm gonna go bed a phone to make one more call. You gonna be okay while I do that?" She asks. Making sure he gets a blanket before she wanders off to do just that. And of course it is while she is off finding a phone they come to get him...

"Thanks!" Aidan tells the nurse brightly, carefully sliding the shirt back down, and he nods to Kailey's question as she sets him and his chair in the spot indicated. "Yeah, I oughta be fine," he assures, glimmer-weed-calm, as the blanket's set in place and he carefully adjusts it for comfiness. And as long as things don't end up switching to glimmer-weed-paranoid any time soon, he probably will be, too.

Still. It's definitely gonna end up a day to miss instant-Spirit-healing and regret the inability to do it on himself. When he gets around to thinking about it. ...If he gets around to thinking about it.
