2022-03-11 - There May Be A Problem

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : Aidan, it's Ava Brennon. I got your number off of Ravn's emergency contact list.

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : o hey, sup? wait this isn't an emergency is it? is ravn okay?

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : He will be okay. He'll be discharged this afternoon from the hospital. I don't know if you heard about the explosion at the Bauer Building not too long ago, but he and I were at the center of it. Also, the cause of it. I wanted to let you know that 1.) He'll be okay, I healed him up afterword, so it shouldn't be too long. 2.) Something is wrong that we need to talk about.

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : There was literal Big V interference telling me I was denied when I tried rewired Ravn's nervous system. When I tried again... Boom. Literally stopped me using my abilities.

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : no , i was asleep. are YOU okay, do you need healing? and. big v? i'm pretty sure that isn't what my brain thought it was. but even back before things changed rewiring people wasn't really...

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : are you still stopped using them? and yeah we can talk about things.

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : I was in a Dream right before the explosion, so my body was relaxed. I think that saved me from getting too hurt, like in a car accident. I just sprained my ankle. Big V, not big D. Trust me, rewiring isn't something I ever do. No big heals, no curing cancer, none of that sort of thing for me. I just wanted to do this one thing this one time. Got sucked into a Dream and 'denied' instead.

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : I need to know if it's just me, of if other people of the same gifts are having the same problem.

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : no, i was thinking v... and it's... the way i look at it it was always like... do you ever use it on stuff? like maybe you had a broken lamp? also i can check but what exactly is the problem? i mean can you not do anything at all now or?

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : I was still able to heal him after everything. I haven't used it on stuff. Though maybe you can use it on poor Dita's windows so she doesn't murder me. Try to cure something big. Big big. Be careful.

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : k so... the reason i asked about on stuff is, say you do have a broken lamp. you can fix it to how it was originally. you can't make the bulb be an led or change the shade from green to red. i mean you can do that the normal way replacing them but you can't fix it to be that way if you get what i mean? and healing's always been like that too as far as i've ever seen. like if you're really strong and things go well you can maybe make someone not have cancer anymore, but you can't make them not be prone to getting cancer because that part is how they're made. that's how it's seemed to me anyway. and i think ravn's thing is in the how he's made area. like for ravn that's not actually broken so we can't fix it.

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : but

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : sometimes things change

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : i mean you remember how it used to be, right? when we could just fix a broken bone or a cut and it was like, pow, it was never there?

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : and if like five people got hurt we could help them all right then?

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : I understand what you are trying to say. Perhaps you are right in Ravn's case. Maybe I am just worried over nothing. There is a very easy way of proving it to me.

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : also kinda still not sure what a big v is. but i can help with the windows if you want?

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : The Veil.

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : so what do you want me to try?

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : Something literally came to me and said 'Denied'. When I tried again, the office exploded and it left a nice little post it with the word Denied.

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : Healing something big. I'm usually against 'miracles', but I'm worried it might not work at all.

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : like it literally out loud said denied? o.O what was the voice like? ...was it like a handwritten postit?

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : Dream. And there was a woman laughing. Like, not a laugh track but it wasn't right. But yes, a handwritten postit. It was there.

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : i mean i don't exactly know anyone who needs a big healing i don't think. and it might take a while before we knew if it was helping?

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : In my office.

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : I can get you into the hospital. You do magic, right?

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : yup! that is what i do

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : Easy enough, then.

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : You can do some magic with some of the terminal patients. If it works, then yay. If not, they're no worse off than they were, and you just get Denied.

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : It will let us know if it's just my magic, or possibly Ravn's condition maybe? Or if something is really wrong.

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : i can try. i guess to try to know if it was your magic and not ravn you'd have to try it too? on something that isn't like built-in to them. um. you don't think it's likely anything will blow up again though? 'cause that seems like a bad situation for patients.

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : There only seemed to be push back when I tried again. Which is why I am loathe to try for a third time, even if it was on someone else.

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : Do you happen to know anyone in-the-know of Veil stuff, who also has Cancer? They might be willing to test the theory with us for the chance for possible remission?

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : That would avoid the hospital.

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : okay that's fair. at least we know it didn't stop working totally because you fixed ravn's wait you didn't say what got hurt. also what room in the hospital is he in?

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : not off the top of my head...

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : Elbows. He had two sets of elbows for a bit. I reset them while he was knocked out and then healed them. By the time the EMTs got there he was already mending. Room 456. Bring a teddy bear or something obnoxious. Una is bringing cookies. I got balloons already. I'll see if I can find someone in the know that might want to help test theories.

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : gah that is too many elbows. okay thank you and i can defeinitely find him a good plush thing

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : Way too many elbows. Thankfully he was out cold for it. Spared him the pain. Arms shouldn't bend that way while people are awake and can feel them.

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : The irony that I brought him in to try to fix him and landed him in the hospital instead, is not lost on me.

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : definitely agreed, good thing to be unconscious for for sure. and. that kinda happens sometimes with stuff. pretty sure he wont' hold it against you or anything.

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : I really hope not, he's one of the few friends that I've made since coming back. I feel terrible.

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : i really don't think he would. he's a good guy and plus he knows what things here are like. also you meant well and i mean he said yes you could try right? so.

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : I wish that it was that easy to talk the guilt away. But it's going to linger every time I see his damn elbows.

(TXT to Ava) Aidan : yeah, i know. at least he was unconscious for most of it though, right?

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : I am very very thankful for that.

(TXT to Aidan) Ava : Okay. I'm going to go in and check on him again. See you when you get here.
