Local Girl: Born and raised in Gray Harbor, so Emily would be known to those from around these parts. She left to Seattle for college in 2010, but her family was all still local, so she was still "around." After her sister died in January 2018, she left town for a year, returning in January 2019.
Avid Reader: Always with a book, this one.
High School Teacher: After a stint as the world's most over-qualified waitress, Emily started working at THS in the late spring. Which is a weird time to get a job, but apparently the old English teacher was just done one day. So Emily took the job.
Local Gossip: There's just no delicate way to put this but... local rumormongers will happily tell anyone that listens about how Emily and Logan murdered Emily's sister Lucy by pushing her down the stairs. This is obviously true, because now those two are shacking up. Which isn't so bad unless you also know that Logan and Lucy were married. So, basically, Emily is banging her dead sister's husband.
She's a carrot-top and no mistaking it. Emily wasn't lucky enough to get "auburn" or "strawberry-blonde;" hers is an orangey-red hair color, the first and most notable thing about her by far, falling to the middle of her back when loose - thin and straight and wanting for a little volume. Fair, freckled skin and eyes that are by turns blue or green - though they tend to skew more toward blue - are an easy pairing for that hair of hers. Her features are even and well-formed, enhanced by a light-hand with the make-up. Right about average height at 5'6" tall with a slim build, healthy but a far cry from voluptuous, she's an attractive woman in her mid-20s - easy on the eyes, but that's always a matter of taste.
