(TXT to August) Minerva: Did you get the plague as well?
(TXT to Minerva) August: yeah...finally done with it. pretty awful, though I guess the part where it kept all of us with this Gohl problem cooped up for a week was a silver lining. you?
(TXT to August) Minerva: Yeah, sadly I took my anger out on my bathroom mirror so was recently released from the hospital. I guess we all caught the flu at about the same time, which I think it a good thing. Just have to survive till the funeral.
(TXT to Minerva) August: ugh. sorry to hear it. did they get you patched up?
(TXT to August) Minerva: Yeah, I got to the hospital before I bled out. Everything is all stitched up, look like the bride of frankenstein. How are you guys handling stuff?
(TXT to Minerva) August: surviving. there seems to be a tendency for the fever to get you pulled Over There. happened twice to me, also a few others.
(TXT to August) Minerva: I had candy stripers trying to stab me in the eye...so yeah. I hate the veil around the hospital now.
(TXT to Minerva) August: lovely. well, if you want some help healing up, let me know, but I understand if you'd rather not tempt fate.
(TXT to August) Minerva: I think I'll have my stitches heal up naturally. It'll remind me not to fuck with my mirrors when I'm angry.
(TXT to Minerva) August: heh. understood.
(TXT to August) Minerva: I wanted to check in on everyone, but I also wanted to ask a favor of you.
(TXT to Minerva) August: shoot
(TXT to August) Minerva: There is a man named Nasir that has powers similar to yours. And he doesn't know how to handle them. Would you be willing to talk with him?
(TXT to Minerva) August: well that's always fun. yeah, I can do that.
(TXT to August) Minerva: Thank you for that. He's kind of weird about stuff. I told him I'd ask a friend about helping out.
(TXT to Minerva) August: can give him the shop address, he can come by. I have a spot out back I like to use for that sort of thing.
(TXT to August) Minerva: That makes good sense and I will send him the information. He was in Iraq. I think it's where things started at.
(TXT to Minerva) August: not really a surprise. a few of us like that, in all honesty. which is maybe a good thing, in a case like his.
(TXT to August) Minerva: He's in good hands with you. So I feel better on that. I'll let you get back to doing your thing now. 🙂
(TXT to Minerva) August: my thing of recovering and watching over another sick person. ::tea emoji:: later.
(TXT to August) Alexander: August.
(TXT to Alexander) August: hey.
(TXT to August) Alexander: What exactly did you tell Bennie about the sacrifices?
(TXT to Alexander) August: that it had to be something important, and what mine was.
(TXT to August) Alexander: So. She has apparently developed a 'plan', won't answer her phone now, and is going to leave my house.
(TXT to Alexander) August: christ. have you tried Finding her?
(TXT to August) Alexander: Not yet. She's fairly against that sort of thing. Just want to make sure that this is concerning, not just to me.
(TXT to Alexander) August: considering the state she's in, yeah, I'm concerned. she can be against it all she wants, she doesn't get to develop a plan and then ghost people. that's not how this works.
(TXT to Alexander) August: I have strong feelings about that. I think her concerns take a back seat to you making sure her plan isn't hazardous to her or anyone else.
(TXT to August) Alexander: Give me a moment.
(TXT to August) Alexander: Okay. She's going to stay in contact. I'll try to keep an eye on it.
(TXT to Alexander) August: okay. that funeral can't come soon enough.
(TXT to August) Alexander: your lips to god's ears, august. But your fruit trees are starting to look pretty sexy.
(TXT to Alexander) August: excellent. more plums to seduce people with.
(TXT to August) Alexander: Are you gathering a harem of fruit lovers?
(TXT to Alexander) August: but of course.
(TXT to August) Alexander: You're pretty sexy. And you make food. You could have a mighty throng.
(TXT to Alexander) August: flatterer. anyways I lack the energy for a throng. got my hands full with one lovely redhead, that's enough for me.
(TXT to August) Alexander: I'm glad, you know. Ms. Lake is a good person. You're a good person. You're good together.
(TXT to Alexander) August: why thank you, I think we're good together too.
(TXT to August) Alexander: Good.
(TXT to August) Alexander: That's a lot of use of the word 'good'. Which is better than 'fine'.
(TXT to Alexander) August: it's much better. and we might achieve 'great' once this flu and the Gohl business is over.
(TXT to August) Alexander: Yeah. I miss Isabella. We're going to try and have an actual date, once all this is over. Go to Seattle.
(TXT to Alexander) August: oh, good call. maybe I can take ellie out to the coast somewhere.
(TXT to August) Alexander: That would be lovely. Rent a boat?
(TXT to Alexander) August: eh probably not--bad time of year, weather wise. but we could walk on the beach. thor's well, that kind of thing.
(TXT to August) Alexander: Oh very well. 🙂 But I think that sounds delightful.
(TXT to Alexander) August: why thank you, I shall plan for it. ...once she's healed up and feels like a drive.
(TXT to August) Alexander: Was she badly hurt when she got lost?
(TXT to Alexander) August: it probably wasn't as bad as I think it was, if you know what I mean. And she brought back some kind of rock that glows a little.
(TXT to August) Alexander: Still. Better to be too careful than not careful enough. Over there. Did you smash the rock?
(TXT to Alexander) August: no--doesn't seem dangerous, so far. also she was going on about selkies and is kinda feverish, figured it could wait until she was better.
(TXT to August) Alexander: 😕
(TXT to Alexander) August: I know, I know. look if you'd seen how excited and happy she was, you would want to wait too. it'll be fine, it's right here. looks like...citrine, basically.
(TXT to August) Alexander: Okay. I'm gonna save this convo. I'm not going to say 'I told you so', I'm just gonna shake my phone at you in a significant manner. One day.
(TXT to Alexander) August: look itzhak has a bow of unicorn hair, ellie can have a damned rock.
(TXT to August) Alexander: Fiiiiiiiiine. 🙂
(TXT to Alexander) August: when the inevitable happens you can feel free to I told you so me. 😛
(TXT to August) Alexander: Phone shake. phone shake. more dignified.
(TXT to Alexander) August: indeed. okay, dinner time. catch you later.
(TXT to August) Alexander: Eat well. Don't die.
