It's another sort of normal day at the Firehouse. It used to be an actual firehouse, the original one, so the pole and all are still in place. It's been converted though! Faith, generally a cook here, is manning the bar which isn't only used for drinking, but customers sit for conversation or to watch sports on the television. The television is currently muted for the lunch crowd. Currently she's wearing a shirt that says Firehouse on the front and on the back in red lettering it says, We Smoke the Good Stuff. Her jeans are black and she's got a small apron around her waist with wrapped straws, an order pad and other little things inside it.

After just making a martini for a businessman on his lunch break, Faith nods, "I'll check on your order." It sure smells good inside. Smoked meats, chicken, beef, pork, you name it. Brisket is the best selling though. Sliced brisket.

Lucas is off duty, just ending a long shift and he is hungry and thirsty. The fireman enters wearing jeans and a shirt that proudly displays the GHFD logo. His father use to work here, and Lucas remembers being small and wandering this building unattended, long before it was what it is today. He closes his eyes and takes in the smell, enjoying the memories before wanderinf to the bar.

"Hi, Welcome to the Firehouse." Faith greets when Lucas comes inside. He was a familiar face, at least first name basis. Hers is readily on her nametag of her shirt which she'd taken to wearing so people didn't assume she was her twin, Grace. "What can I get you?" A bright smile offered.

Given the historic and cleanly nature of the place Atli had decided it was one of the better options for a quick lunch in Gray Harbor since returning. Though her last experience was on the odd side, it was more the company rather than the bones or food, so here we were again. Whilst she did prefer to cook primarily, she had some upcoming meetings about Justin's 'remodel' and not the time. She is adorned in a pair of fitted black slacks, a white open blazer, white chiffon tank, and white close toed heels}. A beige bag and gold wrist watch finish off the look. Atli was not one to typically sit at bars, but it seemed inconvenient to make those working come out to a table with how busy it was so, she concedes, picking up a menu as she sits.

Lucas settles in to a seat at the bar, not even looking toward Atli, "Hey Faith, can I get a sausage sandwich and a beer?" He turns and scans the room and upon seeing who is a couple seats down says, "And put Sunny's order on my tab to would you?" He motions at the blonde in the white jacket.

"Your usual?" Faith gives a smile at the order and gets the beer first, reaching into the cooler and getting a frosted mug and filling it at the tap. She tilts the glass to cut down on the head before serving it over to him. A ticket is written with his complete order though and when he brings her attention to Atli, she gives the other woman a welcoming smile. "Welcome to the Firehouse. Let me get this order in and I'll be right back to get yours, give you time to look over the menu." A brief nod to Lucas, though she does nothing without the ladies conset as well.

Placing her menu before her gracefully, a glinting smile upon her face. A polite nod is given to Faith in acknowledgement and acceptance and understanding. Typically Atli only could place Gray Harbor Native's, but the rennovation had allowed her to file away the names of those included in the family who owned the establishment. "Thank you Faith!" Oh yes, there are still people who read the paper.

She turns on her stool to face Lucas. "Hello there Mr. Lake!" She greets cheerfully, placing him immediately.

Lucas lets his easy smile reach his eyes as they twinkle just a little in Atli's direction, "Ms. Addington, good to see you, I see your doing well." He thanks Faith and takes the beer, sipping it.

Once the order is turned in, as good as her word, Faith is back and front and center standing before Atli. "What would you like to start with? Something from the bar? An appetizer?" Suggestive selling at its worst. The clothing does give the the Addington away, to being an Addington. Faith was fairly adept at identifying the more well dressed in the community.

Not entirely immune to the plight of a sales pitch in a community business, the smile remains intact as she looks to Faith. "Just some of your chicken and a salad if that is alright? I would like to take a menu back with me to the house though for Patrick to look over about catering the next event perhaps?" Never say just no, when addressing community, especially when you carried the Addington name. A laughter akin to wind chimes leaves Atli's lips and she waves at Lucas in a 'Oh Stop' playful manner, vaguely eyeing his arms. "And you appear to be in excellent health as always! I swear I have never even seen you get a cold."

Lucas shakes his head, "Healthy as an ox, " he taps his chest, "I don't have time to be sick, and no one wants to see that anyway. Have you seen how pathetic men get when they are sick, all the whining and moaning over a little cold" He shakes his head, "I will stick with good clean living, and lots of exercise, makes you healthy, strong, and smart like ox" He grins and downs his beer.

"Oh certainly, we have a catering menu with prices and number of people to be served." Faith reaches beneath the counter and the menu is well made on expensive looking paper and tucked nice and neatly into a folder with Firehouse emblazoned across the front in red lettering.

Writing down the order, Faith indicates the window, "I will take this over there. Would you like something to drink?" A glance to Lucas at his spiel about health before he downs his beer and her lips twitch, "Another?" She asks him about a beer, as she slides the order in to the kitchen, checking on Lucas' order at the same time.

Atli was probably one of those mid-afternoon 'Just water' people, wine being a dinner indulgence. "Water for now please." She offers to Faith, and accepting the very organized catering advertisement. Another tinkling laugh leaves pink lips with Lucas' turn of phrase and the dissonance between beer and health. Who could argue the results though right? "How have you been? I have only been back in town for a few months. Still trying to get caught up on everyone."

Lucas says, "Good, good, my dad retired, he is down in Florida now with mom, " apparently he is one of those boys who when you ask how he is, he starts with the whole how his family is doing as if it is part of his identity, "Sis opened a little coffee shop across the way, and I joined the fire department. Spending a lot of time climbing trees and posing for calenders, you know normal city employee stuff. " He shrugs, "Otherwise just my normal, hiking, jogging, rock climbing, whatever I can do to stay busy""

Like with the beer, Faith gets a frosted glass before adding the ice and then adding filtered water to it and placing it in front of the Addington with a wrapped straw beside it. With another look to Lucas, she certainly couldn't argue the results. Reaching for his glass of beer he had finished, she places it in the tub for dirties behind the counter and gets another frosted glass to refill for the fireman. About that time a bell dings from the window leading to the kitchen and after placing the beer in front of Lucas, she walks over for his sandwich and brings it back also. "Is there anything else I can get you?" A smile offered before turning it on Atli. "Yours will be right out."

Atli listens attentively as Lucas speaks, being of the same familial mindset and appreciating information she did not have to put heavy work into drawing out of someone. a small nod of understanding bounces her pale blonde curls. The files in her brain begin a game of connect the dots and her eyes light up. "Your sister also just become engaged right?" At the time the entire thing had seemed disastrous to Atli, but she was really just protective over Hyacinth. Taking the glass in hand a small sip is taken is taken from the straw with a gracious "Thank you." The calendar bit gets an eyebrow raise, but she knew from experience of what happened at the Addington house the job was much more than the picnic he was making it seem.

Lucas nods taking the beer, "Thank you Faith" He grins, "Yeah she did, he seems an ok fellow, a little old in my opinion, but what can you do. " he shrugs, "He is a plant guy, runs a herbalism shop or something down the road"

"You're welcome." Another ding from the kitchen and Faith walks over to collect the food Atli had ordered. Placing it down in front of her, she casually places the tickets upside down on the bar between the two, in case she allowed Lucas to buy hers like he had offered. "If either of you need anything, I will come back around, or ask one of the girls." Bringing out a bottle of barbecue sauce, the house specialty, she places it between them along with selections of salad dressing. Then she goes to do busy work, refilling the cherries, limes and all behind the bar while the two talk.

It’s been nearly a month since Katy and Jonathan’s low key engagement and the trip to the sawmill. Katy of course continued to work hard, having locked herself away in the home office most days. It wasn’t until she’d gotten sick with a cold the previous week that she realized she’d been overworking herself. So when Jonathan suggested a date night shortly after she’d finished fighting off the cold, Katy is more than happy to oblige.

Wearing a lavander silk blouse over a white cardigan and a pair of skinny jeans, she holds her leather jacket over her arm, covering the purse she’s holding. The other arm with the engagement ring hand is linked to Jonathan’s, the twisted strand simple ring subtle yet visible.

Having dressed up a little as well, although not fully formal, the arm not linked to Katy's is used to hold open the door. "While I love cooking, it's nice to head out every now and then as well," Jonathan offers as he looks around, with a smile. "Looks quite nice," he says, nodding to those present.

The Maserati is unmistakable when it pulls up outside, the growly sound of the engine ceases. Shortly after, another Addington strolls so casually inside. Wearing Gucci, nothing that Gray Harbor sells, but direct from Rodeo Drive, Erin positively exudes wealth. With confident steps she enters the Firehouse only hesitating when she notices her cousin and her cousin's boy toy. "Katy," she greets with more than a little warmth, there seems to be genuine affection there. "How are you feeling?" Those at the bar aren't noticed yet. "Jonathan," she greets as well.

Lucas is sitting at the bar, chatting with Atli, while Faith is behind the bar cleaning glasses and restocking, he is just taking a moment to bite into and enjoy his sandwich when not one but two of Atli's cousins come in, in quick succession. He glances at the door, nodding to each, though neither may register his presence immediatly, then turns back to his sandwich and his companion at the bar.

Katy turns around at the sound of Erin’s voice, unlinking herself from Jonathan to give her cousin a hug. “Oh I’m sorry I missed your birthday. I ended up getting buried with work and then the cold hit, but I’m better now. It’s been a long month. You’ll have to let me make it up to you. We could do a girls’ night, whatever.”

The simple engagement ring shines but isn’t hugely noticeable unless you’re looking. Fitting for the couple, really, but she’s ready for all sorts of reactions.

Her eyes briefly meet with Lucas as she releases Erin from the hug and she smiles at him, as though they share a secret no one else knows.

There's a brief pause as he hears the sound of the engine outside, and Jonathan turns to offer a brief grin as he sees Erin make her entrance. "Erin," he offers to her, remaining where he is as Katy moves to greet her cousin. Looking around, he offers a nod to Lucas and the others nearby. "I hope everyone's well tonight," he offers to them all, as his gaze goes back to Katy and Erin for now.

<FS3> Erin rolls Alertness: Failure (4 3 2 1 1) (Rolled by: Erin)

The hug is returned, warmth for her cousin. Of course she doesn't notice the ring, off in her own head and her own news as soon as the hug is released. Once there is space between them again, she returns the smile to Jonathan as well. "I am well, I hope you are also." As Katy gives her attention to Lucas, Erin recognizes him and smiles, a nod in his direction. "Lucas, good to see you." The greeting given before she addresses her cousin again. "Ladies night out, certainly. Non-alcoholic." A flash of a smile at that. Nothing secretive. "I spent my birthday with Jack."

The way of speaking he has, overtly honest, made Atli laugh more than she remembered she could. A smile blooming like the first flowers of spring through receding snow. Food is delivered in a timely manner as are some of her cousins apparently. Having been entirely enraptured in her conversation to this point she looks up surprised. "Oh! Hello Katherine, Erin, and Jonathan!" The perfect smile is again plastered onto her face more robotic than genuine...maybe she would get a glass of wine. She opts for a queenly wave to them, fearing it would be rude towards Lucas to just actually get up and walk away for a moment. A beat later she adds "And a belated congratulations on your engagement! I heard you were ill, now that that is not the case I look forward to hearing if you are interested in having one of us host your engagement party!" Was it possible some of her excitement stemmed from the idea that Katy would no longer be an Addington? Perhaps, but there was no actual proof anyone could scrounge up to support this.

Lucas smiles at Atli, a genuine smile full of life, especially at the sound of her laughter. Upon seeing Katy's look he nods to her, eyes meeting hers with the same look of exchanging a secret, before moving to Erin's as she waves in his direction and calls out, he raises a hand and waves, but before he can do more Atli turns to speak with her family and he sits back, watching the exchange.

Keeping up the trend of unmistakable automobiles, a van that leaves no guess as to the man's name driving it or the profession he performs pulls into a spot outside. Clad in simple work clothes, Leon's T-shirt reads "Locksmith" across the front, and "Use Other Door" With a double sided arrow stretched across his wide back, a pair of clean work jeans falling boot-cut over some brown Red Wings. As he pushes his way into the restaurant proper, he makes his typical look at the locking hardware he was passing. Then, he gets a quick look around, stopping briefly as he takes stock of the current crop of customers. Noticing not one, but three Addington's in one place, he looks back at entrance again, as if wondering if he were in the wrong taco stand and the Firehouse was suddenly some other, likely more bougie food joint.

Confirming he was, in fact, in the restaurant he pulled up to, Leon moves further in to grab himself a table, a menu, and a seat at the bar.

Katy looks really unsure at how Atli would have known about the engagement since no big official Addington style announcement had been in the paper and the last month or so had been so busy that neither one of them had really discussed it with anyone, aside from the Wallgren family. Katy had always been close to Jonathan's family so they made it a priority of telling them. Still, she doesn't question it, because Atli's always been a busybody like that. The blonde rarely took her cousin at face value, it wasn't as though she didn't know how Atli felt about her existence. She always sensed it.

"Atli, that's a lovely offer, we'll have to make arrangements at some point, after a discussion with my fiancé of course."

Turning back to Erin, she smiles brightly. "Ahhhh, that's great news! I've been wondering about where that whole thing with Jack was going. It just slipped my mind to ask." She raises an eyebrow at the idea of non-alcoholic drinks. "I was hoping you'd help me pick up a new vice. But we can discuss that later." She waves the topic off. "Do you want to join me and Jonathan? We were just going to eat, no big deal." She spots a table near Atli and Lucas and gestures towards it to point it out to both Jonathan and Erin.

Hearing Atli laugh has Erin glancing her way with a slight edge to her expression until she's certain herself or Katy was not the subject of the laughter. Family love. Can't you feel it?! "Good afternoon, cousin." Returning the greeting to Atli. While her own smile is genuine, it lacks some of the warmth that was given so easily to Katy. "An engagement party?" It's then her eyes fall to the third finger of the left hand of Katy and she bubbles brightly, "Oh Katy, it's about time!" Casting a sly look towards Jonathan. "You chased her until she caught you."

Her own hand, while lacking an engagement ring currently, is very much taken. "Yes," Erin tells Katy. "Jack proposed also." But she's not wanting to take the thunder from her cousin, so she elaborates none on it. "I would love to join you both, unless this is a celebration dinner. I wouldn't want to intrude."

A look between the two, though she does approach the table gestured to, another glance to Atli and Lucas, making conclusions all her own, if her expression is easy to guess at. When the door opens to allow another in, she dips her head to the locksmith, friendly without being overly so.

Chuckling, Katy explains, "This is less a celebratory dinner and more a 'you're overworking yourself and need to get out of the apartment' dinner. Jonathan gets worried when the deadlines all seem to come at once. But I'm lucky that I have someone so sweet and genuine to look after me. We should all be so lucky." She flashes a quick look at Lucas as she says this before she and Jonathan settle down at the nearby table with Erin.

"I'm so in the mood for some baby back ribs. Maybe half a rack? I know a full rack means we can take leftovers home though. And it's nice to give you a break from cooking, Jon." She immediately takes the menu to scan it for something to order, the scent making her mouth water. "So look at us, we're getting married, good lord, E, who would have thought?" She grins.

Atli had her ways...additionally the ring sported at the mill and then today on a very certain finger was a solid giveaway. The historic building was vibrantly full of all sorts today it would seem, she recognized the feeling of Leon's presence pretty immediately. You don't forget the mental presence of someone metaphorically shutting a door in your face after all. It was her own shiner qualities that allowed her to detect him. When he opens the door all five feet of sunshine dripping positivity greets him in a look that says 'I know you are here, you can't just leave now'. This is all rather nonverbal, she would ask him about his recent charity event once he was close enough.

Atli sits more outwardly facing, opening her body language to the room, though still more angled toward Lucas. Hearing Erin her face shows some earnest delight. "Oh Erin! I didn't even realize how serious you had gotten together! I cannot wait to hear more about the details! Perhaps I could host your engagement party and you could host Katherine's? Unless Hyacinth wants in which she surely will!"

She eyes Lucas a little embarrassed, with blue doe eyes. "I don't know your sister or August sincerely enough to approach offering." Atli says sheepishly.

Jonathan smiles, "That's a lovely offer," he offers to Atli, before he nods a bit at Erin's words. "It's like someone told me once, when you have good, don't let it slip away," he replies, before he grins. "He proposed as well? Congratulations." Nodding a bit at Katy's words. "Hey, who suddenly arrived at the door in Detroit to take care of the concussed?" he offers a bit lightly to her, before he grins. "A full rack of the ribs sounds quite good," he offers. A nod to the newest arrival as well.

A short, amicable nod is given Erin and Jonathan's ways at the attention, looking to be about to keep moving toward a seat and food, but again, a halt as Leon notices Atli's presence. It was a rather comical idea, a man his size brought to an almost deer-in-the-headlights indecision by the diminutive blonde. Discretion, however, was the better part of valor, and he makes his way past with the chatty gathering with the slightest nod given Atli's way now as well. He would go to settling his big frame on a stool and flagging down a tender for a water while he gets his bearings with the menu. "Ah hell, they got burnt ends? I'm in." he can be heard ordering, along with some carb-heavy sides. A light lunch for him, then. His phone comes out, is checked, then is set on the bar in easy reach.

Lucas smiles, "Careful Sunny it sounds like your falling behind in the Addington race to the altar, can't have anyone claim your in second place" He winks playfully, then sips his beer, "No I think Ellie has her own plans, but thanks for the thought. " He watches as the place gets fullur and makes sure to stick a little extra money in Faiths tip jar before he forgets.

<FS3> Atli rolls Presence+Leadership: Good Success (8 7 7 3 2 1 1 1) (Rolled by: Atli)

It is arguable the sun is fire in a sense, plasma burns. As it turns out Leon was now playing with that direct heat. There was nothing Atli could not stand more than feeling unnoticed to a degree. She would socially pressure the giant man into duly acknowledging her. Using her most magical grin she waves from Lucas to Leon in a sweeping gesture. "I don't know if you would remember him Lucas, but this is Leon the resident locksmith and Army veteran philanthropist." Social convention dictated a response.

"Additionally, I am in no rush to get rid of the Addington name. You know me, I play the long game. Downside of a hopelessly controlled romantic heart." A wink is given in Lucas' direction, then a kind nod towards Jonathan. She didn't dislike him, he seemed decent enough. Atli also just didn't know much about him.

"Dinners of necessity. I know just what you mean. Before, though, Jack cooks mostly and he's having quite a job of teaching me." Erin orders a meat combo with sliced brisket, a side salad and the vegetable of the day, whatever it is. "I never assumed I'd be getting married. I never wanted to." A nod to Jon though. "He has it right. When you have the right one, you just know." The smile turns more whimsical. "I asked him if he'd take my name instead," she waggles her brows. Was she teasing?

Her gaze once more lands on Atli, surprise flickering in the dark depths. "An engagement party? I suppose I should. Grandmother won't come, but I'm not concerned about that. Just getting Jack to go around so many people would be the difficulty. He's not a crowd person." The words given with genuine affection. "It wound be fun though. I wouldn't turn one down."

"Life has a way of reminding us of what's important," Katy simply says when Jonathan mentions her showing up at his door after his accident on the ice. "Besides, it's hard to ignore something when it's all over national TV."

"I'm probably going to hyphenate, get the best of both worlds. But hey, genetics is something a name change couldn't erase so it's not like I'll be any less of an Addington, I'll just be a Wallgren too." She gives Jonathan an affectionate look as she squeezes his thigh under the table during the discussion of last names and then she orders the rack of ribs.

Lucas smiles, "Sunny we both know that the future Mr. Addington, when you meet him, will have little chance of resisting when you smile and talk him into giving up his own family legacy and taking your name." He shakes his head, and then offers his hand to Leon, "I don't think we have met, Lucas Lake"

Leon almost looked like he wasn't about to give up the menu so he could, perhaps, hide behind it, or at least, just hold it between Atli and himself. His eyes briefly flit to a bottle of Maker's Mark he can see behind the counter. But then Lucas is introducing himself and here he was. A beefy hand is offered in Lucas's direction, regardless of his judgement of all the flattery the man was sending A-ward "Leon Gyre, nice to meet you." Now he actually has to look at that pearly white set of face razors, commenting to Atli, "I mean, it was a charity event. Mostly Maggi's idea, I'd hardly call me a philanthropist. Hell, Easton and Justin dropped just as much as I did in donations in single checks. I'm just glad we got to help people."

Jonathan smiles, nodding a bit as he hears what's being said, although there's a brief sheepish look as Katy mentioned it being all over national TV. "Ah, yes... there was that little complication," he offers, a bit lightly. The touch under the table makes him relax a bit more, before he offers a grin to Erin. "Oh, so he cooks too? Always good with those who can cook, or so someone told me..."

Razors? Heavens no, her teeth were glittering from being retentively hygienic. The look towards the bottle of Maker's would have garnered an internal file of 'Of course...' had she noticed, but Atli probably didn't notice. Another dismissive wave is given in Leon's direction at the idea. "Nonsense! Organization is an absolute gift as is having a good heart. I know Justin is a good egg, never seen Hyacinth pick a bad one. Is Maggi your girlfriend?" Tinkling laughter returns in full force, Lucas' candor becoming her delight of the day, touching his shoulder lightly she responds to both he and Katherine.

"Very modern Katherine! I am just so overly traditional, I think Mr. Lake probably has it right for me!" Was she laughing because it was true? Or because the idea of a hyphenated name horrified her into giggles? The world may never know. Who even used words like nonsense in everyday conversation? "Erin I am sure she would be delighted to celebrate, or at the very least gift something worthy of a lack of attendance!"

"He does cook and he's so good at it. I'm just glad the weather is turning more towards Spring, since he loves grilling out so much." Erin reaches for the water she had ordered, with a wedge of lemon, and takes a sip from the glass once it is brought over. "Hyphenating is good, not a bad idea at all. I've really not thought about it, but the Addington name has been a big part of my life since birth and Margaret raised me."

Brows arch at the comment from Atli in regards to Margaret. "To be frank, I'm sure you're quite wrong." A light smile accompanying the brutally honest statement.

"It's just a thought," Katy suggests casually, "I mean, I have my reasons for keeping it."

Whenever Atli would address her, she feels so weird, like she knows all pretence, and no substance, but she still plays the game, and humours the conversation. Her grandparents are here, her Uncles (her Father's cousins) and Erin. She does have family she likes here. So what if the peripheral members of her family don't care for her? It's never mattered much to her. Although she is morbidly curious to see what would happen once an announcement is made in the paper. Because that's what an Addington would do right? She pushes her thoughts aside to smile at Atli as her cousin comments about being overly traditional and just nods at her.

When the food finally arrives, Katy starts digging in, and she quiets down for a moment, focused on food.

<FS3> DRAW! (Rolled by: Leon)

Lucas finishes shaking the other mans hand and then listens to Atli's conversation and seems to take a moment to think, "See I always thought the double barreled last names sounded nice, like you were making it clear you had connections, but that you weren't all one thing or the other. Radcliffe-Forsythe being not quite Radcliffe, and not quite Forsythe but something new, a fresh beginning built on an old foundation. Now those three or four name hyphens are just ridiculous and should be avoided at all costs, but the two named ones can carry some weight. They wouldn't fit for you Sunny, but there may be others who could bear such a name proudly and do it justice." He shrugs and sips his beer.

It's a tough sell, in Leon's mind. On one hand, he could fork over a piece of personal information so the town busybody could suck the marrow from it in typical fashion, or he could keep it vague and hopefully he could eat lunch at some point. Luckily, eight is a higher number, so he tries to simply float right on by the inquiry, giving Atli a simple, "Thanks, and uh... Something like that..." Hopefully the meaningless dodge would be little enough that more meat would be pursued elsewhere, yaknow, like that juicy family drama she seemed to be slow roasting over there. New engagements had to be much more interesting. Idly, he wondered if he could just convince them he wasn't actually here. Nah, he couldn't affect as many minds anymore.

When his food hits the bar beside him, he finally has a good reason to turn his attention away, reaching for a barbecue sauce container, and digging in like the 3000cal diet plan army man he was.

Jonathan grins, nodding as he hears Erin's words. "Never been that good at grilling stuff outside myself. Perhaps I could learn some of that from him." He smiles as he listens to the talk about the name, but doesn't say anything. And there's the food. Such nice food. As he hears Lucas mention the double barreled last names, he grins a little at the man. "Some old teammates of mine once spoke of some guy back in their home country that got married. Instead of one of them taking the other's name, or just keeping both of their names, they took the first part of his wife's hometown, and the last part of his hometown, and made an entirely new name out of those."

There's a nod of approval for Lucas, "I agree with you. I like the hyphenated names and I'm very likely to do the same, but it's going to be rather long and both end in t-o-n, so it sounds a little off. I'm not sure what I will do, and I'm entirely sure it won't matter as long as I am his wife." Said with all the adoration she feels for the man.

Erin smiles at Jonathan. "Perhaps Jack could give you a few pointers. I'd like the four of us to get together as soon as the weather is nice enough. I could host a day at my house. If you'd both be interested."

Lucas also gets a smile from Katy, one of approval and agreement, mixed in with something else meant specifically for him. But she still remains relatively quiet as she pokes at the mashed potatoes and gravy that came with her ribs as a side. She seems relaxed for the most part, feeling relatively unbothered by Atli's energy being so intense.

Erin's original comment elicits a wilting of Atli's smile to this point, she had been struggling recently with the crumbling idol that was her pillar of Margret Addington, not wanting to believe some of the things she was learning to be true. "Well, it is about you! Just let me know if you think it's worth the olive branch and we can focus more on how special this is for you!" The woman is obviously in love and Atli was eating it up with as much Gusto as the classic Cinderella film. In the back of her mind she certainly would like to hope Margret would do what Atli considered to be the 'right' thing.

Leon's attempts to fade into the background are allowed given the turn of conversation. Her face lighting up once more with Lucas' opinions given. "They can sound quite powerful and intriguing I do suppose depending on the combination of names! It's more along the lines of those extremely fashionable dresses that I would find abysmally provocative on myself, but some women certainly carry off looking beautiful with confidence!" Names are not named, and it is not meant as any sot of lie or insult. The two other Addigton women are simply different from Atli herself.

A single brow lifts as assumptions seem to be made, or Erin takes it as such. That, and an amused glance to Katy is her only reaction to what she perceives as an attempted slight. The meal is eaten, a few cuts of the sliced brisket with the barbecue sauce on it, a bite of the salad. The corn on the cob is given a look and she uses the pronged instruments used to eat it to balance it on one end and cut the corn off the cob so she doesn't have to lift the whole thing to her mouth to eat it. Manners were ingrained in her from a young age. "Addington-Wellington," she muses to Katy and Jonathan.

Lucas smiles wide and actually reaches out to pat Atli's hand a second, proudly, before moving his own to swipe up both receipts in front of him, and her. He slides out his card and hands it to Faith with them, but doesn't seem to be in any hurry to leave, even though his sandwich is gone, nothing left on his plant but the icky pickle. "Honestly it's like my sister started a trend or something." He smiles softly.

"Addington-Wallgren," Katy says in response when Erin muses about her future hyphenated name, her smile directed at Erin as bright as it usually is for those she's close to, like Jonathan and Erin. It's playful and happy, and she can't help but give Jonathan a smile.

She of course is also using a knife and fork, carefully trimming the meat off the bones of the ribs, and then she offers a bite to Jonathan. "This place has great food."

Jonathan grins. "Sounds like old European nobility or something," he offers to the hyphenated names. "Seems to fit you two rather well." He smiles as he's offered the bite by Katy, eating it, before he nods at the word about the food. "It really has," he agrees.

Not always the most aware, Atli does manage to catch Erin's eyebrow raise. The reaction this gets is something that happens so entirely rarely, it might as well be a world wonder. The closest that Atli comes to admitting she is wrong is self deprecation to someone she sees as deserving of respect. "Oh no Erin! You are just so fashionable I could never keep up. Mom makes light of how conservative I am on occasion by telling me I am going to only be able to shop at Anne Taylor at this rate." A slight blush spreads across her cheeks.

She turns her attention fully to Lucas for the moment, fighting the desire to flee. "I really appreciate the meal Mr. Lake, I would agree it appears your sister is on a trend ahead of myself as these ladies tend to be. Maybe we could continue to talk soon? I could always use your levity!" She pulls out her phone as she speaks, holding it out with the 'Add contact' tab open.

The words 'Anne Taylor' rouse the chowing and phone distracted soldier from his reverie, a sound like a cough coming from Leon, a fist clapping over his mouth. He follows this up with totally legitimate cough as he'd been mid-bite. A hand grabs for his water and sips, then utters another cough into his elbow before settling back down again, leaning on a crossed arm and picking at more of his food. Totally cool, guys. Nothing to see here.

As he listens to the others, Jonathan's phone makes a sound, and he looks to check the text message that arrived. "I'll have to run for a bit. My parents want to speak about something." A brief pause, as he looks to Katy. "Sorry about that. But you know how they can be when they have their minds set on things..." He starts getting up from the table.

Erin does look surprised at the sort of olive branch and offers a more genuine smile in response. "We should go shopping together sometime. A place where the sales people know their business and the dresses are made tailored to you. It would be fun to go, but since Rodeo Drive is likely out of the picture for now," she doesn't say why, "Seattle has a few really nice places as well." To her credit, Erin doesn't even flinch at the Anne Taylor name. Not even a little.

A smile is given as Jonathan prepares to leave, "I will see you again soon." Then turns her attention back to Katy. "I do like this place, but really we should get together at my place once the weather is nice enough."

Katy stands up to give Jonathan a hug and a quick kiss. "Tell your parents I said hello, and that we'll actually come over for Sunday dinner this week. Send them my apologies for the way things have been lately. I'll see you later. I'm sure Erin won't mind driving me back to the apartment."

When Jonathan leaves, Katy leans over to Erin, and she says in a quiet whisper just for the two of them, "Look at those two." Then she adds, "Oh yeah Jon and I would be totally happy to come over, just let us know when."

Lucas puts a hand on Atli's wrist for a second, taking a moment to search her eyes for a moment before saying, "it's ok" He then takes the phone, smiling and putting his number in it.

"I don't mind if you don't mind a ride in the Maserati. We live on the same road." Erin finishes up some of her food, leaving a lot, she has the waitress pack it up in a to-go box she'll take to Jack if he's interested. The water though, she continues drinking.

"I love your engagement ring, Katy. Is it a family heirloom from him or anything or brand new and shiny and just for you?" Hearing the whispered words, she doesn't glance over at Atli and Lucas, but she says softly. "Everyone deserves to be happy. Maybe she's finding her person." The detection of glimmer has her narrowing her eyes though and looking over there now, this time at Lucas. A protective streak a mile wide for her family has her rising to her feet and looking like she is about to come over and have a confrontation. When there's not an immediate threat, she backs down and retakes her seat, but she does keep a wary eye on him now.

Katy says, "Thanks, it's just something new and shiny, something subtle and elegant, it fits well for me, I think," Katy replies before she goes back to her lowered voice just between her and Erin and adds, "I'm glad she's finding her person. It's adorable. She's actually kind of nice to be around. I hope it works out." Then a glance in Atli and Lucas' direction makes her chuckle after detecting the Glimmer use, and when she sees Erin's look of concern, she just smiles. "Relax, they'll be fine.""

Oh great, even Leon got to hear this admission...he was still here...wonderful. She would genuinely like to shop with Erin, but her foot was just solidly secured in her mouth today. This was worse than the piano incident and Atli was pretty sure her blush was about to surpass a light peach color. Then, in a way she does not at all understand, it stops. She is suddenly perfectly okay for some weird reason, and not even freaked out by the fact that she is pretty sure she didn't do it. A weirdly relaxed smile is creeping across her face.

"I would really enjoy that Erin! Good to see you Jonathan!" Relaxed in no way apparently means less chipper, the smile turning to Lucas. Atli bites the inside of her lip with a touch of coyness that is uncharacteristically comfortable was he finishes putting his number in.

The surge of the other sense has Leon's form almost whirling on whatever the heck that was, his own mind opening and clawing, grabbing at the snippets of the sudden glow around the man. Was it an attack? Was it manipulation? Everything was terrible, dangerous, painful. He searches the emotions around Lucas's psyche and... visibly relaxes as he finds the man was feeling compassion. After a moment for his breathing and pulse to slow, Leon's eyes would lessen from the saucers of sudden panic. It would strike him after a few more beats how he must have looked. He turns back on his food and is very intent on consuming good barbecue. Yum.

Lucas finishes putting his number in her phone, "Now promise you won't hate me when you dial this and get the local movie times? " He smiles a little at her, handing the phone back, and putting his own hands back in his lap, oblivious to all the "shimmer" happening around him in the bar.

"Then we'll make a day of it. Katy would you like to join? After all you're going to need a wedding dress and everything. A whole wardrobe. Wedding day, wedding night, the reception and dancing. Rehearsal dinner. Bridal Shower. So many different outfits you'll be needing also." Erin would use any excuse to shop and this one was a good one. "I hope it works out also, at least Atli seems happy talking with him." Relaxing a little since there didn't seem to be imminent danger. Adding one thing. "Probably not a good idea to throw that around," she says to Lucas.

While this is the first time she's witnessed it, Katy's always sensed a bit of something special about him. It's just a thing she could sense without any specifics. But it's barely registered with her before, but now that it's happened in front of her, she can help but smile as the scene with Atli and Lucas unfolds in front of her. "Sure, I'm always down for some shopping," Katy replies to Erin's suggestion, giving Atli a glance as she accepts the invitation. Then when she hears what Erin says to Lucas, a flash of realisation comes to her face, as if she just recalled something familiar, something she'd been through herself. "It wasn't intentional..." she murmured, almost to herself.

Atli was pretty sure she felt Leon's brand of dark sparkliness out of the corner of her eye, though for the time being absolutely nothing could ruin her yoga studio zen master level of calm. It's tucked away to be asked about later, when she didn't feel light as an unburdened baby bird. Atli takes a few sips of her water and giggles absently. "Yes Erin you are entirely right! Katy will need all the things!" Blue eyes still look at Lucas as though he had hung the moon, never really feeling this serene around anyone.

Hearing his response, it is as though more bells are added to her tinkling laughter. "I would only be more thrilled!"

A black card is dug out of a wallet as soon as Leon can fumble it, before being pushed back into its slot forcefully so he can grab out cash. There seems to dilemma, a brief pause, then a sudden 'fuck it' sort of resolution as Leon drops two twenties on the bar and stands from his stool. Taking the opportunity of the others chatting and planning some sort of outing, he tries to leave through the front door as surreptitiously as a 6'3" man can, hunched and clearly agitated.

Lucas smiles and leans forward squeezing both of Atli's hands, "You know what Sunny...your still pretty awesome" He smiles and then rises to his full height, towering at least a foot over the petite blonde.

Erin gets to her feet also when her food is brought over in the bag for her to take with her. "I need to go, but I will try and set up a time with you both. Just text me when is good for you and we'll go out and have fun. If you need a ride, I can take you, Katy, unless you want to remain longer, perhaps Atli can?"

"Actually, no, I'll come with you, Erin." Katy says when her food also comes.

Katy stands and waves at Atli and Lucas. "I'll see you guys later." And she follows Erin out.

Atli is nodding in agreement to whatever is going on around her. "Sounds like fun! Travel safe!" Atli is absently smiling at the towering man, her last few bites of chicken having been forgotten on the plate before her. "And you Mr. Lake are an absolute pleasure to be around." She stands to her full height which is not tall, she almost floats out the door behind the others. Heading to her car and exchanging last goodbyes with Lucas she can't help but smile as she sits there for a moment, thoughts drifting to the idea of hyphenated names.
