Social

Apparently not dead, Thew looks back to Jade as the crowds disburse following the final shot, breathing heavily for just a moment. "Nuh-neh-need to... Used. Get. Yuh-yuh-yuh-used to this, for the grand opening." mopping his brow. Grand opening? Well he was in the paper recently, renovating the auditoriums for a new theater in town.

After letting pouring her heart out during her performance, and grabbing herself a shot of tequila, Stephanie decides to go back to socializing, to see what was going on with Rhys and Sparrow and the others who were there. She was playing it cool, or at least trying to.

Smiling up at Thewlis, Jade murmurs, "You're gonna do just fine. Just breathe, and focus on a fixed point. And I'll be right there with you." She squeezes his arm lightly and lifts her glass to take a final sip of the margarita before nodding that she'll have another. Looking back towards the others at the table, then over towards the big guy at the bar, she chuckles, "You know, for being a small town, I'm seeing groupings of people I'd expect to find in Seattle..."

Looking to Stephanie as she comes to the bar, looking between Jade and her, Thew gives a nod, a blink, and a frown. "I have... idea. No. None..." he admits. "I. Town. I. D-d-don't oh-ohhhften... luh-leave t-t-t-town." he looks between them again and dares to speak up. "Yuh-you both duh-did veh-very good up there."

"Yeah, I had fun out there," Stephanie says casually, "I've been out of the scene for a while, it's nice to get back into it."

Thewlis bobbing his head, Thew looks down into his drink, sipping at the mango-ey strawberry-eyness of it (plus tequilla), his eyes are more on Steph's arm, or her feet. "I... it's... I." he frowns to himself, taking long breaths before speaking. "It's... huh-her scene." eyes moving to Jade, and there's a raw, naked, affection that lights up his look. "I... I'm. I'm just." brow knit he looks to his drink again. "I'm... I. I'm... The-thooo-the-Thewlis."

Rhys talks with Sparrow at their table for a few more minutes while he finishes off his drink, then nods once and heads up to the bar, or specifically, to Stephanie, since she'd been hanging out at the same table before her turn on stage. "Hey again. We're taking off," he tells her, which is presumably the point of coming over, though he also adds with a grin, "You were pretty great up there, though. You too," the latter to Jade, of course. "Awesome song choice." He gives them and Thewlis a smile, and starts off, pausing to point to Everett and advise, "Next time show up an hour early and sign up twice, so we don't all wonder forever what we missed out on tonight." Another grin, as he heads away.

Stephanie gave a casual wave to Rhys before sending a quick response to a text.

"So what are your plans for the rest of the evening?" she asks Thewlis and Jade.

Thewlis looks to Rhys and tries to be friendly, but it turns into a shivering cower, letting him talk to Jade and Stephanie without interjection, when Stephanie asks, he shrugs, "I... I-I.. Duh-don't know. I've ne-nuh-never come out... Karaoke... Night... I... Duh-d-doh-don't... g-g-g-g-go out... Muh-mu-huuhh-much." blushing hard and looking at the floor.

Jade offers an easygoing grin towards Rhys, tipping her chin up towards him, "Thanks! You were pretty good up there yourself. Half the fun is just -having- fun with it." She looks back to STephanie and nods, "Isn't it? Man, I haven't performed in ages. I kinda miss it." Glancing towards Thewlis, she reaches back and tangles her fingers with his, squeezing his hand and murmuring, "We're doing whatever Thewlis wants to do after this. He's been amazing and put up with me dragging him somewhere -really- public... so maybe.. waffles? Waffles as a treat for being so awesome?"

"That's a great idea, don't let me keep you two from escaping the social stuff. I was thinking about heading out myself, retreating to some place a little less crowded." Stephanie smiles at Thewlis. "Don't let her drag you around all the time. It's okay to say no sometimes. I totally understand where you're coming from." She finishes up texting and slides her phone in her pocket.

"I... I nuh-nuhh-Know." Thew manages to get out at Steph's comment, brow knitting "I c-c-cah-haahh... I..." he quiets and stares at the floor, picking up his refreshed drink, and takes a healthy drink of it. He doesn't have to talk when he's playing Mortal Kombat with his liver.

Chuckling, Jade shakes her head, "I'm not forcing him out against his will. He's doing it to support me, and because we have a deal. Once a week I get to take him out to be sociable. This is that day." She leans in against Thewlis carefully, slipping her arms around his waist to give him a hug while sending him an adoraing look, "Because he's the best."

"Sounds like a deal with the devil," Stephanie teases, but then adds, "Sometimes I wish I had someone to hold me to that sort of thing." She looks at the exit and says, "I should head out. See you guys around."

Rhys gives Thewlis's cowering a head-tilt and tiny arch of a brow; guys built like Everett might get that reaction everyday, but 5'5" ginger dudes don't. He ignores it more or less politely, then, agreeing "Exactly!" to Jade, with another bright smile, before his notes to Everett. And then whoosh, he is gone out into the January night!

Head had hung, hair hanging to hide his hotch, huge homosapien heartbroken.

Ok, I'll stop.
When Hank calls for shots over by the bar, where Everett is, the big guy picks up his only friend and moves somewhere else. Somewhere there won't be a rush. A glance, an irritated flash in Thewlis' direction while the gorilla gets stammered at, and Everett doesn't stick around to find out what it is. He broods somewhere else. Somewhere alone, in a crowded bar. Like you do.
Rhys' advice calls Everett's head up, and Everett doesn't have to say it. The glare speaks volumes. Starting with F and ending with U and the whole Encyclopaedia Britannica in between, Everett turns back to his drink and watches the bubbles.

At one point, soon, a strawberry-mango margarita is delivered to Everett's table. The Delicious Must Flow.

"Yuh... yeh-yeah-yes,.." Thew agrees with Jade's comment, "Le-luh-le-least once... week." eyes to Stephanie in Rhys's exit. "Buh-b-b-be... Safe." eyes on the floor again. "Nuh-niiye... Nice meeting you." slipping an arm around Jade as she hugs him, taking comfort.
