Generally Normal - In a town like Gray Harbor, Thewlis is an anomaly. He goes to work, he pays his taxes, he lives in his little home, and he doesn't want to hurt or mess with anyone. He hasn't had an easy life, but he's not against people - though he more often uses them as a screen than an acquaintance.
Glimmer - Thewlis glimmers, strongly, and has spent a lot of his quiet time alone studying it and learning how to better use the aspect that he focuses on. But he's someone else that someone who glimmers can find, and perhaps he might become a comrade or an enemy.
Survivor - As an abuse survivor, Thewlis has his head on a swivel, even when he's home alone. And most abuse survivors know their own. Maybe the way he moves or speaks is a giveaway, maybe something someone else does - but survivors also clump together.
Mr. Fixit - He is an adept handyman. He's excellent at fixing things and seems to have what's needed to repair things when no one else feasibly would. Got something broke? Go talk to that guy who mows the cemetery lawn!
The Cemetery - The guy caretakes the Gardens of Eternal Rest cemetery. Why? Those places are creepy and he -works- there.
Huckleberry Park - Maybe the quietest guy in Huckleberry, when he's not fixing or caretaking he has spent a lot of time making his modest trailer a real home, and is fine getting paid in hot coffee to help others do the same.

Life in the a spooky town is sometimes less nightmarish. Son of mill workers, descended from mill workers, and of poor to middling skill at best. Those around him expected him to be the same, save for his immediate family who wanted to get him out. but their own squabbling and troubles did little more than keep him trapped in the family rut. Withdrawn at most times, chubby and slow, the first years of school taught him how to keep his head down, but that even those who try to hide away will often be noticed by predators. Becoming the Boy with The Bloody Nose to many of the neighbors, Thelewis learned to hide injury next to avoid uncomfortable questions, avoiding the questions of school instructors and his father particularly.
Stealing away in his room, hiding from going outside, and from the sight of a mother slowly resenting what the cost of her own child was doing to the little money she and her husband could make. The young man made as little noise as possible, playing with the toys or models his father would buy him, that his mother fumed over, on his bed to avoid clattering sounds that could draw her ire and attention. Sometimes he would watch movies, or read books about fantastic monsters - anything that could help him contend with the nightmares of life, to find something scarier so that he could be comforted that he didn't have it quite so bad.
By his mid teens he had become an effective ghost in his own home, the third (and smallest) trailer his family moved to and now called home. Certainly some of the bullies would find him, or he would pass within visual range of his mother when father was not around from time to time, but he had become effective as hiding among safety. Talking with instructors, making friends with bigger kids, anything to keep him from being isolated from the 'herd' so to speak. He joked and complimented others, said what he thought they wanted to hear, and did his best to ignore the ball of self loathing and loneliness that grew and became like a swollen tumor in his being.
By the time he was in his twenties Thelewis was exactly where his family didn't want him. A mill worker, though he had apprenticed enough under others to have become a considerable handyman, helping keep the machines working. He was at least self sufficient and resented more and more by his mother at his managing enough to live comfortably as a bachelor. Ordering groceries by delivery service, and hiding away from the outside so that he would not have to hide in public. Resent had become his watchword without realizing. Resenting his co-workers who always seemed to find enough to exceed quota. Resent for those whom he saw at dinner with lovers, spouses, and families that did not seem like the broken thing that spawned him. Resent for the strength he perceived in those who tormented him, mill workers in cushier positions, rich children that were now adults of inherited position.
The resent had sparked to hate and jealousy that, one night, when he'd risked having an ale at a local watering hole unleashed something in him. The dive was targeted by the sons of those who had tormented him. Punk kids, but acting like lords of all they surveyed. Did they know him from their parents stories? Did he just seem a victim? Ambushed as he slipped from the bar and onto the night street Thewlis was dragged into an alley and thrown against a wall, kicked, struck with what felt like a cane, or a thin pipe, and then he snapped. Flailing an arm wildly, the head of an attacker snapped back as if struck - the young man grabbing at it and screaming as his cheeks and scalp tore open, and then Thelewis was up, mouth open, hands grasping either side of this punk's... this rotten punk's head. Why wouldn't they leave him alone!? Shaking, unsure what to do he didn't realize the screaming was not his, but man's whose face he clutched, lesions were opening over the young man's body, and as he looked to the pair fleeing the scene, blood appeared seeping through shirts as the flesh of their backs opened.
He fled, down the other side of the alley, into the next, and the next until he was a mile or more away. Huddled in a ball, staring at his hands. The cuts that appeared, the sensations that came with them. The sensation. He touched his own face where he'd been slammed against the wall and felt no wound beneath the blood. He felt no bruises. He was fine. But they weren't. They couldn't hurt him, but he could hurt them.
No patrol officers, no authorities, came for him, he barely remembered getting home, he only knew that he'd still felt amazing afterwards, he remember sirens as he ran. But no authorities to arrest or question him. He went back to work, but he could feel those whom he injured were related to co-workers. He felt eyes on him, and soon he was given notice that he was being laid off and that licensed and bonded technicians were being brought in to replace him to take care of machinery repairs.
Forced out of his modest home, and briefly into his mother's home (his long suffering father dead from a heart attack - escaped) and he began bouncing between odd jobs. Constant haranguing by his mother, now triumphant in his failure, drove him to hide out where he could, or in motels while working as a local handyman while learning to hide in public a skill he had already been long developing from his upbringing. He studied people to learn what they liked to hear and delivered it to worm his way into their confidence, to keep himself in clientele and food in his fridge. A survival technique honed into a shield and dagger. He isn't a socialite who reigns above all, or a scraping servant, he is one with the crowd. But even all of his odd jobs and handy-man works weren't enough with the reputation following from the mill.
Eventually the only place he could find work was the local cemetery, a caretaker. Raking, mowing, and naturally - fixing things. Seeming to never need parts, always able to get things running - developing his talents and while even noticing others like him, avoiding them - hiding in the crowd.
Tall, over six foot, with dark brown hair worn long enough that it could flop into his eyes if he didn't keep it combed back, and a short beard going salt and pepper easily a decade before it should. Brown eyes that are often heavy lidded regularly shift beneath thin brows, with an aristocratic nose and cut of the chin framing a mouth often resting in a soft frown. He's of a working man's build. Not a bulky weight lifter, nor a rail thin waif, but clearly a man who spends much of his time laboring over something, filling out his clothes, and often hooking heavily scarred and callused hands into his belt or pockets.
He dresses simply, gray and green flannel over a black crew-neck tee. Nothing visible in the breast pockets except for a cigarette pack. The Tee is tucked into a pair of faded grey cargo pants. The loops and extra pockets having been patched and unlike his shirt there are often small tools or the like stuffed into the pockets. Old brown work boots with a steel toe complete the ensemble, the laces replaced and looking new while the rest is maintained by regular oiling and re-soling
