Andre

• Criminal - Andre is one of Felix Monaghan's bodyguards. He's usually found at the Firefly Club holding up the back door.
• Not Too Bright - Andre's suffered more than a few hits to the head in his lifetime and it's resulted in some mental dullness. He's not dumb but he's not smart either, and can be a bit slow on the uptake.
• I'm Sorry - Andre's got big muscles but he's got an even bigger heart ❤️ He's really sorry for the bad things that he does, but it pays the bills.
• Former Boxer - Andre was well-known in the underground & professional boxing circuits. It's hard to miss a guy his size, and he may be recognizable from those days.

Andre is not from around here. He grew up on the mean streets of Detroit, a kid abandoned by his mama at a firehouse when he was three. He's been in and out of shelters and foster homes; it wasn't the best life. By the time he was 12, he was pretty heavily involved in petty crimes to include some minor drug-running. It wasn't at all what he wanted to do, and he was very sorry for it, but what else was there for him? It was a question that was answered randomly one day, when he tried to rob a local gym (he's not the brightest) and was fucked up by the owner, Sam Jackson, former world-class boxer. But Sam didn't just beat him half to death and leave him to die on the streets - he took him in, because he saw something of promise in Andre.

By 14, Andre was boxing with the best of them. By sixteen, Sam faked Andre's age and had him in the underground circuit. They made good money, of which Sam took most. By 21, Andre went semi-pro. By 26, Sam was dead, and the gym (and therefore Andre) came under new management. Andre was too dumb to realize he was getting involved in organized crime all over again. His boxing career was something, but the new gym owners convinced Andre he could do something bigger. Andre stepped out of boxing while he was at the height of his career, and he took over enforcement for his new friends. Sure, it meant he had to hurt some people (and he was VERY SORRY for that, okay?!) but his new friends said they probably deserved it anyway.

In his early 30s, the big wigs in the crime family set their sights upon Gray Harbor. Who knows the reason (Andre certainly wasn't involved in the decision-making process) but Andre was sent up ahead to cause some trouble for Felix Monaghan and his crew. It didn't turn out exactly as expected ... because Felix Monaghan saw something in Andre, too. Andre's not sure what happened to his old friends, but Felix seems like a good enough guy. He keeps Andre fed and put a roof over his head, and even gave him a real job as the bouncer at the Club! He likes to watch the girls dancing. Sure, he still has to do the bad guy stuff, but that's okay. Because he's very sorry about it.

Imposingly tall, this broad-shouldered and dark-skinned man edges out at six feet, five inches in height. He's built like a brick house, with a strong and muscular frame that has clearly been built through years of training. He has deep brown eyes, the shade nearly black, and his head is completely clean-shaven, unlike his squared chin, which sports a neatly trimmed goatee. There are several deep, aged scars along his knuckles and his nose looks a touch crooked, as though it's been broken a time or two before.

A casual dresser, he typically wears a pair of dark blue jeans and a t-shirt, over which is almost always a baggy hoodie, and a pair of worn out sneakers.
