Born and raised in El Paso, Texas to a large Catholic family, Cristobal has never been far from his heritage. He did the traditional thing, doing two years of vocational college, joining the police academy, meeting a girl, getting married. Have a kid. It just turns out life had other plans.
When his daughter was three, she was diagnosed with Leukemia which ultimately destroyed his marriage, his job, and his soul. It also awakened his anger and during one of his many fights with his wife, he accessed his glimmer for the first time which resulted in a chair flying through the picture window of his modest home. A divorce quickly ensued all while his daughter was still in the hospital.
Still Cristobal tried to do 'right' by his family, but the medical bills were piling up. Chemo, radiation, hospital stays, road trips, hotel rooms. And that's when he turned dirty. It was easy to make the extra money at first, turning a blind eye to this or that as it slipped across the border, and then he became more actively involved. The tipping point was when an 18-wheeler came over and Cristobal was in charge of stashing it. 38 people died that day. There was an official investigation, and while no official charges were pressed against Cristobal, he was forcibly retired. And his daugther passed away anyway.
Cue the move with Seattle, but for some reason, he never left his pit stop in Gray Harbor.
The bearing of training, the muscle to back it up, Cristobal looks like he's always on the verge of gearing up for a fight. He has dark brown hair, clipped short on the sides and fanned over in light wave on top. His darker coloring: especially his lashes, make his intense blue eyes stand out all the more. Occasionally sporting facial hair, Cris keeps it trimmed and groomed to a small goatee and mustache. He typically wears comfortable clothes like soft faded tees and worn jeans.
