Love
Silas. My father, though not much of a dad. He was always too busy for me, and after my parents split, I rarely heard from him, at least until recently. Then it was letters constantly, talking about crazy things. Eyes in the night and things watching and following him. He disappeared and signed over all of his holdings to me, and I still don't know why. Married to a yoga instructor in Boca or actually and really missing? His last letter said not to look for him. Seems like a mixed message with the mystery and all.
A really lovely person to chat with, sweet, kind of wounded. The accent is utterly soothing, and sharing a bonfire is the most chill way to get to know someone. Definitely not a ghost, which is good, because then I would be sliding off the slope from which Pop already took a header. He lived in the same motel as me for a while, bought a house recently, and invites me over for food. Despite the buttoned up suit and the accent, he reminds me of some of the guys I used to travel with. He's seen enough shit not to be up his own butt about everything, and he's kind to strangers. And he's kind to people in need. You can't ask for much better in a friend. Just wish he thought a little more of himself. He seems kind of melancholy sometimes.

Tony's the boss at Platinum. I don't know much about him except he seems to take care of the girls, hired me after the shortest interview, and didn't give me shit about doing things behind the bar the way I want to do them. He hires you and pisses off out of your way, which is basically the best style of management, in my opinion.
Dirty martini.
A tall, sweet dancer with a big heart. She reaches out and takes notice of kindnesses, always returning them without a thought. She's one of the newer girls at work, has some pain in her past, and I hope she heals from it one day. There's nothing and no one who should ever have the power to make us feel not enough. I wish her peace & happiness. She's good people.
Lyric is more quiet than Park, but is the other half of the DJ duo at the Platinum. She's sassy and sweet, and I'm sure full of other layers I haven't had the chance to discover. We never get much chance to talk, because the bar always picks up right as she gets a free moment. I hope we can fix that very soon.
Malibu & Pineapple.
Mee is too damn pure for everything, let alone the club where we work. Pure sweet, not pure innocent, though she may be that as well, and I hope her openness never changes. She's one of the two DJs and every time she opens her mouth, something comes out of it that makes me smile. I really hope she starts a vlog about music, because I know that'd be the highlight of my 3am social media browsing. A lot of personality in a small, distilled package. I almost pissed myself when she started talking about Hole. She cracks me up. Cute, cute, cute.
Vik's a funny dude with a sweet nature. He works as a janitor at the hospital (where I cuddle babies on a volunteer basis). He recognized me at a coffee shop way, WAY before I recognized him, way before. (Still feel kinda bad about it.) Gave me a ride to work on his vintage moto, which I thoroughly enjoyed, thank you. He crashed the dumplings at our TIBS party and caught the HellFlu from me. Cheerful enough about it, offered to bring some sick survival supplies & passed out in my bed while pretending he wasn't even sick. Didn't get mad when I almost threw him in the pool. Took care of me for a week when I was dying on his couch (while he was also dying). Ex-military, always armed, so not sure what that's about. Lives in a cabin way out in the woods, which is so peaceful, even with the... gun range. He's a very nice surprise in a town that keeps trying to kill me. He brings me snacks & drinks & always takes my hand when I reach for his. Asked me to house sit and then asked me to stay. So... I am.
Fireball.
Mae introduced herself to me at the bar at Platinum one day when I came in for a drink. She was the first person I met there, and the one who ended up getting me the job within an hour of sitting down at the bar. She's easy to talk to, heavily tattooed, and good at what she does. We've become fast friends, and she always drinks what I mix for her. We have a couple projects going, talk all the time, and I can say with certainty that she's a friend now. We went skinny dipping and talked about some life stuff, basically bonding through trespass & history. We have some things in common, probably more than I know. Looking forward to finding out.

Dylan is a talented young artist I met in a coffee shop. We sketched together and he sent me a couple drawings at work. Says he's working on a comic, asked permission for my likeness. That's pretty sweet. Ran into him again when Mae invited him skinny dipping and discovered he's pretty damn funny and also knows about the weird shit in this town. Invited me to stay with him when Murder Motel was extra murdery. We have a good time, and I look forward to more good times. He's hilarious.
Moscow Mule.
Back in Town: Though Love was born in nearby Westport, she lived in Gray Harbor from ages 5-11, so maybe she stole your bike or you wrecked her bouncy castle at her birthday when you puked blue punch all over it. One of you did it and she will find out which one.
Daughter of a Townie: Her father, Silas Liven, was born in Gray Harbor, and lives (lived?) there today. Is he dead? Is he missing? Is he married to a bartender in Boca? Someone must know.
Liven Properties: Her father's company, now hers. Among other structures Liven Properties is responsible for Foggy Bluffs Strip Mall and Liven A-Frames up on Sycamore Street.
Professor of Art: Lecturer in Painting and Art History at Emily Carr in Vancouver, BC, Canada. She took sabbatical this year, but expects to return in under 8 months. In the mean time, she's looking for a little extra income, primarily workshops, individual tutoring, working with kids, or gallery work.
Formerly Famous: Still famous in some circles, mainly diehard Surf circles, she's a has-been when it comes to surfing. She was at one time (until 6 years ago) competitive surfer, but then something happened. (Shark attack? Drug problem? Injury? Degenerative disease?) The rumors fly.
Well Traveled: When on the surf circuit, she traveled the world from Tofino in Canada, along the entire US west coast, Hawaii, and even down to South Africa and all the way over to Australia. She has spent a load of time in airports, cafes, and on beaches in far-flung locales. How about you?
Loves Kids: Ultimately, Love communicates better with kids and the young at heart. She will humor an inquisitive five year old for far longer than your average adult, participates in coloring contests, and has been known to volunteer at the hospital with terminal kids.
Love is a tall, slim, fair-skinned woman with a taste for pairing designer shoes with casual clothing. She's tattooed from head to toe, most prominently on her throat, chest, arms, and upper back, all of her tattoos in black and grey. Her eyes are pale silver, lips usually painted black, eyes heavily winged and shadow full of smoke. Her tattoos are largely organic, roses and foliage, moths, horned beasts, gemstones, and filagree. Her hair is waist length and dyed gunmetal grey, though it's usually pulled up in a messy knot atop her head.
The grey-eyed woman wears a plain grey tee, v-neck, the fabric softened by age and wear, tied at her belly, knot to one side. Her fair skin is inked, mostly along her sides, though a pair of black skinny jeans leave her legs, and any potential ink there a mystery. On her feet is a pair of four-and-a-half inch pumps, glossy black patent leather. Standing in those, she's just over 6'3".
Around her neck is long, long rosary in silver, delicate chain, and onyx beads.
