Violet
The Whitehouses have been around for generations and are one of the oldest families in Gray Harbor. No one ever has anything good to say about the Whitehouses though - from earliest memory, the whole lot of them have either been drunks, deadbeats, nut-cases or (in the very early days of town history) witches. Violet hasn't escaped this reputation. Notable gossip about Violet and her family includes:
- Her father is known drunk and frequents the Pourhouse. He'll tell anybody that listens that his daughter, Violet, was a mistake, the bride of Satan, and also a devil whore. Alice is okay tho 😉
- Violet's identical twin sister, Alice, has been institutionalized for 11 years. She tried to kill herself.
- Violet herself is an old maid and a crazy cat lady. Rumor has it she's got 15 kittens living in the antique shop and hasn't ever had a boyfriend.
- But she may be dating the shrimpy doctor that moved into town?
- But really, he's probably just pity-dating her.
- She's going to snap any day now. People are just waiting for it to happen. It will happen. She's crazy just like her sister and belongs upstate.
There are times where it seems like we're speaking two different languages. But maybe it doesn't matter what we have to say. Maybe all that matters is what we feel. I know I don't fit, maybe I never will. And yet you somehow have found a place for me.
You must like me for me
Once, we were inseperable. Now you're away but we're still not apart. Through it all, I love you. I don't know how, but someday we'll figure this out and you'll be here with me again.

If we're all alone
- Business Owner - Violet is the owner and operator of 'Memento Mori' in downtown Gray Harbor. The shop is a hoarder's dream and a place to find forgotten treasures or a good book to read.
- Bargain Shopper - Violet's always on the hunt for a great find, either for her the shop or herself. See her in thrift stores or hanging around estate sales!
- Crazy - Rumor around town is that Violet's twin sister, Alice, is in the nut-house and that Violet should be there too. Those Whitehouses are nothing but trouble!
Violet would be a very pretty girl if she just put a little effort into it. Maybe if she straightened that pale gold hair of hers to get the frizz out, if she did anything more than throw it back into a messy bun or pony tail. Perhaps if she put a little blush upon her cheeks so she didn't look so pale, as though she could catch a sunburn from standing out in the moonlight for too long. It would definitely help if she stopped hiding her wide, bright blue eyes from behind the glass of those oversized, thick and round framed glasses. But she doesn't. In her mid-to-late twenties by the looks of it, Violet's short and subtly curved, sweet faced with high cheekbones and dimples when she smiles. She's a pretty girl, true. She'd just be a lot prettier if she tried.
